For what it's worth, what I've played of it so far (mostly SP, because frankly I need the practice, given how many times I've had my a...ft waxed by a gangbang in MP
![Stick out tongue [:P]](/emoticons/emotion-4.gif)
) I like it, and don't resent the $10 I spent to buy the game, or feel I've been ripped off.
As should be obvious from my gamertag, I'm a WC fan. This of course means I'm biased, so those with such oh-so-brilliant comments like "poo poo fart" (I can feel years of my life slipping away when reading stuff like that, like I'm reverting to grade school) are sure to throw out my vote on the subject. That's their right, of course, and also their problem, not mine.
*shrug* While I would have liked another "big storyline" WC game (especially with FMV, introduced in WC3), I can understand why EA would be skittish about jumping straight in with that, instead of testing the waters with an XBLA title. The space sim market has been, bluntly, excrement. One of the last "big" releases of the previous decade, Freespace 2, sold all of 20K copies or so. Neither of the two 'Lancer titles released by Digital Anvil did do much better, and all but WC Prophecy Gold (Prophecy + WC Secret Ops) have tanked, to varying degrees, in the market (and the exception was almost a decade ago, now, with little to show since then other than ports or aborted MMORPG projects like the several trashed Privateer Online attempts).
