If you thought bomberman act zero, hour of victory, etc. were bad games, then you need to play the demo of this. Seriously, this is the worst game EVER made on the xbox 360. The graphics are worse than that of the N64 and the gameplay is absolutley awful. When i downloaded the demo i thought it would be a good game but oh my god this is the worst game on the console.

 

Dont even waste your hard drive space on this and DO NOT buy this game when it is released because you will seriously get laughed at and you will regret it badly.

Exactly, my nephew loves it. I played it with him the other day and he gets all excited. He calls Green Goblin the Gleen Globlin haha, he's only 4.

err.. well i wanted this game. but im not 5.. or 10 ? so i have to suffer another wasted spiderman license just because they cant put in the time to make a decent game that  the majority of gamers would like.

 if you buy consoles for you 5 year old i sure hope you make them go outside and play with other kids too !

either way. it looks bad.. playstation one game maybe.

Hey, i'm the uncle. Im there for fun not to father them. Although I only let him play for about 2hrs then I kick his booty to the toys or outside.

PS1 games had a snes look to some of them too that where for kids. Its all the same, man. Every console has them.

I do not know.  The graphics alone do not really decide the enjoyment of a game.  My opinion on the graphics in the demo were that they were like a comic book.  They seemed to be cell shading.  I do not know how long the gameplay is and what variety it offers but those are things I would investigate before buying it.  I thought it was mildly fun.  I thought the combat moves of Spiderman in the demo were a lot easier to manage than in past Spiderman games.  Just playing the demo, I would say that it isnt worth a price tag of 59.99 for me but I would think maybe 39.99 or so would be about right.  It doesnt seem to be as bad as a lot of people are making it out to be.

I've been playing this through with my son, and all in all it isn't a bad game.  Groundbreaking, no, but not worthy of one of the worst "title."  The graphics look pretty decent to me.  They are not supposed to look like GOW, they are supposed to look cartoony and they do.  In hd the characters animation is good and the levels themselves are really nice.  It wasn't meant to impress everyone, it is a kids game.

It's not the best game ever by any means.  For teens and adults it's really repetitive and gets pretty boring, but for younger kids it's not too bad.  There can be (and is) worse.

The game really reflects Spidey The Animated Series (Cartoon). Although it has little playback value, I found it relaxing because I play so many FPS's. 

I'm a little disappointed, but Spider-Man 3 the game was really good and challening.

I actually like the cel shade/comic book feel when it comes to comic book characters. Game is ok, me personally, I'm still waiting on the next Ultimate Spiderman, now that, was a slick game. Kinda surprised they came out with this before Ultimate. Developers make me wonder sometimes. Ultimate Spiderman would've banked big time for em.

why does everyone feel the need to bash games that don't have photo-realistic graphics?  go play n64 again before you say ignorant stuff like that.  cause these definitely aren't the greatest graphics, but they're far from n64.  you couldn't even put these graphics on xbox black.  then again, i play in glorious hd and everything looks superior in hd.

this game is a great game for super casual gamers and people who are new to gaming and never picked up a controller before.  the gameplay is simple and easy to pick up, and not at all complicated.

however, if you are a gamer or have picked up a controller in the past 5 years, you will get little out of this other than an easy 1000 points.

ps heh, if all my posts were this well thought out, i might actually be at, like, cul 5. lolz

pps i can think of 3 games of the t-o-p that are worse than this:  xmen: the offical game.  bulletwitch: and fuzion frenzy 2.

Hey I enjoyed it and I'm in my late thirties (ok nearly 40!) recently finished The Darkness & on the last boss of Mass Effect so usually play adult games but saw this for £10 brand new and picked it up and its a nice change to get away from the violent fps I've recently been playing.........reminds me of the days of the original arcade Double Dragon or TMNT.  Ok the graphics aren't the best but I think they are aiming more towards the animated look anyway. This is by no means the worst game I've played.

I'm actually going to pick it up for my 4 year old.  He liked the demo and loves Spiderman.  Put it this way, he asks me to put on SpiderMan 3 and he web swings all over the city.  With this, we can both play a casual game.

I agree wtih DonC72.  I'm playing through this with my kids on coop and we're all enjoying it.  Not every game has to be Gears of War or Mass Effect.

  He does not like that Spiderman is teaming up with the bad guys, so he wants me to get Iron man or wolverine to fight with him.  It is hard to explain to a kid that this isn't Marvel UA.  So now, I put it on Vs mode and he beats up the bad guys.  Overall, it was fun.  Simple, quick achievements, and easy for kids up until the boss fights.  LOL!

I dug this game, you gotta admit it was much better then Spider-man 3.  It was definately a kids game but it had a very robust cast of characters and it was fun.

Besides how many Spider-Man games can you play as Iron Fist, Black Cat, Prowler, Silver Sable? Not very many, if any. This game gave people a taste of Spidey characters that have not been in a Spidey game before. So if you did not like this game nobody forced you to play it and if all you did was play it for the easy achievements and not for the fun of the game than you are pathetic because it is an enjoyable game and is not meant to be serious. I am 33 years old and I enjoy any game that I can play my favorite heroes or villains even if the graphics arent the best. I played this game with my kids and they enjoy playing it also. It may not be Marvel Ultimate Alliance but it is fun and it gives me a chance to play with my kids.

My 5 year old son likes it.  If he is happy then I am happy.  Now tell me how that translates into the worst game of xbox 360...Please.

Why are you all stuck on stupid?

This isn't even the worst Spider-Man game on the 360.  I paid $15 for Friend or Foe, and $5 for Spider-Man 3, both new, and feel ripped off by SM3.  FoF isn't great, but decent low-key fun in co-op.
