Mandatory Second Play through Actions to get 1000/1000

Although there are only a few, there are certain things you MUST do at a specific time in the 2nd play through or you will not be able to get 1000 achievement points. The warp zone will not help you. This is a list of those things.

  1. In Chapter 2, in Forte City, you MUST talk to the sick old man at the base of the stairs. This begins a conversation chain that nets you a score piece in Chapter 6.
  2. In Chapter 4, when you get to the Baroque City Town, go inside the Inn, and up on the second floor in one of the rooms is a grandmother reading a book to a girl. You MUST talk to this grandmother at this time. You will know you did it right if she tells you a poem. This is a continuation of the conversation in #1.
  3. Now, when you get to the warps in Chapter 6, you can warp back to Forte and talk to the sick old man once again. Talk to him twice. The second time nets you a score piece. This is the conclusion to #1 and #2.
  4. At one point in the game you have control of Beat as your avatar. This happens in Ritardando. As soon as you get control of Beat, go to the beach and into the cave at far left. Speak to the man inside. This begins the “Release of Soul” quest, and you must be Beat to start it. The rest of this quest chain can be done with warps in Chapter 6.

Yeah I read about this.. will be fun..

I wish someone would make a guide to the locations of the EZI.. telling me the composers doesnt help.. and theres 25 scores to  play from to find each of the damn ranks to get the items.. sigh.

Ok I have recieved information that #4 may not be true, as in you can do the whole thing in Chapter 6 using warps, but I would make sure you do it as Beat regardless, I mean, what do you have to lose? I KNOW for a fact, that #1 and #2 are true :-) because it happened to me.

Thanks for taking to the time to let us know.  This is an amazing game and upon finishing with 120/1000 points, there is a LOT of incentive for the second play through.  I'll be sure to hit the four points you made.

Yes that is him. The first time you talk to him he declines your help. The second time you talk to him, (after you talk to the old lady in Baroque) he accepts.

thnx doadea, by the way, I have one to add to the list: One of the score pieces or ezi items (i forget) you get from getting an A rank with Captive Conga. Im not sure about this, but i dont think you can warp back to the Pirate Ship Dolce in ch. 6. Therefore, be sure to get this item in ch. 4.      Again, im not sure if u can teleport back to the ship in ch. 6. I know u can warp to the Baroque ship, but i dunno about the Pirate ship Dolce.

I can't get the man at the Cantible Inn to play a session with me. Is there something I'm missing? I'm on my second playthrough and on chapter 6.

Who is the OP?  I'm sorry but there is no effing way that ANYONE could ever get that many gamerpoints w/o gettting someone else to do it for them.  I mean he's got all 1,000 gp in 2? versions of Eternal Sonata, WTF?  I know that this guy stripclubdj did that to get his million (or whatever) gamerscore.  what is the fun in that?

Gamesaving, boosting, glitching, and profile recovering that is how it is easily possible. As far as the OP I am not accusing him just stating how most all people with 100k have 100k. This is a tired subject and it is off topic, there are a lot of people out there with 100k, just leave them do what they want. The achievement point system is broken and it only has personal meaning now.

Please other posters let THIS post KILL the subject of gamescore, so that it doesn't hijack another thread, especially one this useful.

The second version in Japanese is Trusty Bell, which was out months before Eternal Sonata was. I did both games 100% legit thank you very much :-) Trusty Bell took me almost a month to do because I had to use translated Japanese websites to understand what I was doing. Because I already knew the game inside and out, I blew through Eternal Sonata in a matter of a few days. The only reason I made this post is because these are the mistakes I made in Trusty Bell. I had to play TB 3 times because of it (actually 2.75 times). I did not want anyone else making the same mistakes I did.
