Re: Old gamers

Hey PJ,

Have you thought about joining a gaming community? The OLD Ladies at www.oldshooters.com are recruiting for new members. I'd love it if you checked us out and gave us a try. Simply go over to the website and sign-up. There is a forum for signing in to Oldshooters and I will get you added as an OLD member. Then the member forums will show up which includes a section for our ladies. Our commitment to you at Oldshooters is:

Our commitment to the ladies of Oldshooters is a clean environment where their honor and dignity will be respected. This means we expect the men to treat you with the utmost integrity. We also expect Oldshooters to be a safe place for married men to not be solicited by single or married women. This should ensure the security of men's spouses who already may not like their husbands playing..lol

This also will aid the unity of Oldshooters and keep its focus on family, fun, and gaming without all the drama.

No lewd flirting or sexual innuendos will be permitted on the website or in-game public communication. This goes for the men as well as the women.

48 and 45 respectively. Our parents think we're nuts. Mr berserk wishes he could find some older Halo gamers.
So many games, so little time...

I also belong to a mature gamers site.  We have game nights throughout the week (including COD4).  Also some active PS3 gamers there if interested.  Most of us are moms and dads just trying to utilize our time wisely and skip the idiots.  Check us out if this interests you or feel free to send a pm!

Re: Old gamers
It is rare that I get to feel young at 36 while reading our forums, thanks.  But age based groups, doesnt it tend to give you a slightly skewed version of the community?  Ah, who cares, having fun with folks who share common values and history is a great way to spend time.  Besides, by the time I get around to feeling old the "boomers" are going to wi-fi installed in all the retirement centers anyway, so we will be enjoying Halo 34 in our golden years together.  Or maybe reliving youth through the latest Sim game.

Re: Old gamers

Hi PJ - I'm 45 and also an avid gamer for many years.  What's cool is my Mom is 72 and she kicks my *** at Zuma.  She loves to rub it in that she's beaten the game several times now and I can't get past 9-5.  She even changed her IM name to Zuma Champ.

I also have a PSP but I seem to use it more for when I'm travelling.  It's great for watching movies when you are on the road.

Hi, just turned 35 here.  My 12 year old daughter still can wipe me out in most games, but I'll get her one day.  I just started gaming, began when my daughter talked me into a DS, stood in line for Diamond and Pearl (preorder)  and have been hooked ever since...lol

I do what my cats tell me to do.

Re: Old gamers

Well no you aren't old yet because I'm not old yet and since I am older than you that means you can't be old until I am.  So far there hasn't been anyone old who has posted in this thread.  I think 54 has been the oldest and that is just getting to the prime of life.  So we're all young!

Oh ok...I just wasn't sure being lumped in to "old gamers" meant I'm old...or "older"...anyway, thanks.  Old is as old does...my momma always used to say. Wink [;)]

I'll be 41 next week. Sometimes I think I am not acting my age, but gaming is so much fun and my wife enjoys it too. We each have a 360 console and play games right next to each other and socialize.

Do you spend time with your family? Good. Because a man that doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man.

I just turned 40 (ugh).  You know, it's nice to come to a forum and be able to understand what's actually being discussed.  Coherent thoughts, punctuation, grammar.  It's nice.

Think you're the oldest one on Live?

You should avoid my posts then. I went to publick skool.

LOL. Seriously I might be 36 but I do have a tendency to construct my sentences in a way that makes people wonder how I got through college twice! Stick out tongue [:P] Two college degrees and still can't spell. Angel [A]

Re: Old gamers
51 and have been gaming for years, really enjoyed all the gaming with my son who is now off to college and we play together still thxs to the net. Have met some great people playing and have done a meet and greet with about 15 people from all across the country. We met in Columbus Ohio at a gamers house and rented some big screen TV'S and we brought our xbox consoles the orig back then. We had a great time and most of us still play together. All I can say is enjoy the time you get with your kids playing and with the friends you meet playing taker care and enjoy all. If and when I get my elite back  from the service center I will be back to playing COD4 if anyone wants find me.
