You get out of this game what you put into it.

I didn't expect an amazing game and was pleasently suprised by the gameplay, graphics and controls.  I did post a little thread here on the forums saying this.

In my opinion it is not a bad game at all - i really like it.

Also, if you enjoyed the movie. The original voice actors for the king harothgar, beowulf, wulgar and wiglaf are in the game.

Which is a huge plus in my opinion, the campaign is roughly over 6 hours and, your lookin' at between 2 - 4 playthroughs for all the achievements depending on if you use a game guide or just good at lookin' for things.

It's worth the buy at the $19.95 price tag.

I find tha it's preety good for a hack and slash adventure story. There isn't usually alot going on in those except for the different ways you can smash and rip monsters. lol

ive heard horrible things about this game, but i rented it anyways, and its not bad.. i dont see what all the fuss is about.. its not great, but its not horrible, pretty average hack and slash, with a lot of tap *a, b, x, y** but its decent, 6.5/10

It's not terrible, but it's not a great game either. It feels rushed and the enemies can be annoying at times. I also didn't like the their power-up system. Still, for $20 it isn't that bad of a game - just remember that there are far better games in this genre like God of War.

I never really play games based off movies..

I would not suggest this game, as it is only done because of the movie and it feels very rushed, the story line lacks and epic proportion, the sound and the action tend to be boring.  I would say rent it at first just to check it out, it will be a 1000 easy achievement points if you're into making your gamerscore higher.

Thanks for all the comments cause I was almost going to get this game today. But after reading this post I spent an extra 15 to get Mass Effect on amazon's one day sale! haha I hate games that are over in 4-5 hours...totally not worth it if there is barely any replay value. Plus I hated the movie. ;-)

Have some common sense, what game has ever been good that has followed a movie. (apart from goldeneye on n64)

Catwoman, duh. Any video game that has you running around finding "bling" is obviously a great game.

warriors was pretty good.. but the reason why movies to games are never good is because they always rush the games to get them out a week or so before the movie.. they take no time with it.. they just slap them together, to bad too because there could be some sweet games - scarface was horrible imo could have been amazing

Dude - it's not that bad for $20?????  Let's put it this way - I have a rent it free coupon Blockbuster.  I rented it, played it for about an hour and then called the store to ask to exchange it.  Even though it was free, I could not believe I wasted my time picking the box up to look at it.

The gameplay, the controls and the really stupid story only made it worse that it was nothing like the box described it.

I dont feel ripped off or anything, but damn its a horrible horrible game.

It was a gift for me, I pray they didn't spend the 60$ it came out as, because it is not worth that.

Its either 10$ or 20$ right now, but save your money. Keep your 20$. And spend it on Beautiful Katamari, now only 20$.

Bottem line. Its a movie game. While some will be good they will never be great, and most will be garbage.

This is one of those games.

It beats the movie in my opinion, but i didn't enjoy it.

Althought it is one of the better "Movie Based" games i've played in a while.

Got this game for 10$ at Best Buy =].

I've only put about a half hour in so far and it's kind of decent.

Well, I just found it for £5.99 with free postage on eBay. I have little money left now, cos Im unemployed. So cheap games are what I need. I have to buy a game, play it, then sell it.

I only have Oblivion, Phantasy Star(nearly finished), Enchanted Arms and Pro Evo 6 left in my collection. I borrowed Smackdown vs Raw 2009 off a mate, and Im nearly done with that as well. So, not much for me to do on my 360. So Im gonna get this, cos like I said. I need to spend small amounts of money. Damn, I really need a job so I can buy some top end games. Like FEAR 2, Cod:WaW, Resi Evil 5 and Fallout 3. Much better quality.
