Hey, is anyone else having trouble getting the Private First Class achievment..

I mean, im past the Private First Class rank, im on about the fourth rank or something, but i do not have the Achievment for gaining Private First Class :s is this somekind of bug or something ??

Yes, I have the same problem. As a returning Rainbow Six Elite player I got enough points from the start to go beyond this rank. Never got the achievement. A couple of my friends have the same issue.

Me 2 as far as im aware this problem has now been fixed but thats no good to us. I hope they get there finger out and sort this so we get our achievement.

Mine unlocked fine, they sure seem to have stuffed up some of the achievements pretty good and proper.

Everyone one in my clan including me has this issue, except ExG II Vengeance  and he is the only one who didn't play vegas 1 a link between playing vegas one and not getting this cheevo maybe

i think there is a link between them cos i finished the first one on normal and never even played enough online to get to private first class, and then in the second one last night never got the achievement

My friends and I are also having the same problem. :-(  I hope they fix it.

Hey just to let you guys know, everyone pretty much has asked about this. If you had a previous save of Rainbow Six Vegas, elite or not. I was a captain last I remember maybe two or three ranks shy of elite. And I passed the private first class rank when I turned on RSV2 for the first time. I did not receive my achievement , and it has been proven to pretty much everyone that had a save previously who qualified for the automatic rank up, did not get that achievement. If you did not have previous save, and I think it has to be on that specific gamertag, then you would not have automatically passed the ranks, and thus earned your way to the rank, and received your achievement normally.

Am I wrong on this?

I am on my 8th xbox and have never played RS1 on my current xbox (I did on a previous xbox). I received the bonus points and missed the achievement also.

So you skipped the first rank, and got the bonus the second you turned on the game?

You are on the 8th xbox, but not the 8th hard drive are you? Have you carried the save from the original game? Do you have achievements from the first game on the same gamertag as you are now playing V2?

He doesn't rquire the save...perhaps only the cheevo for Vegas Lgend or rank of Elite....those alone might do it.

I was thinking of moving both my R6V & R6V2 game profiles to a memory card and then starting again without the memory card in, to see if I get it.  Let us know if your method works.

yeah i started off on the second rank =/ because of the old vegas game and i havnt got the acheivement either but myf riend did while we was playing co-op im now on the 4th rank, maybe if you get to the highest rank you might get the acheivement? :S

Deleting your game save wont work or reseting your rank. 

 

Before I put vegas 2 in I put vegas 1 in and reset my rank then deleted my game save. Still as sooon as I put Vegas2 in it skips private first class and no achievement.

 

This game recognizes your gamertag not your game save data. I hope Xbox can contact ubisoft to fix this problem.. Since Xbox requires all game developers to have all achievements atainable. This achievement is clearly not so a fix is needed.

 

Ohh yeah if you think its going to unlock after reach Officer rank ... guess what it doesn't. I just became an officer and it only unlocked Officer achievement. Please xbox make udbisoft fix this isssue.

I've submitted a question to Ubisoft to see if they intend on patching it or something. I would've assumed that the achievement(s) would have unlocked at the next level up but then that wouldn't help Elite ranked players.

I'll update when I here more.

I was lookin around and if u even played R6V1 you get like 1000xp bonus hence skipping private first class

No I have not got it and I don't know any of my friends that have it. I hate achievements that don't work.

They're reseting peoples ranks because of that achievement, Ubisoft is working on it.  The game was released to early, and needs more content.  but its a great game.
