With how relentless Formidable difficulty can be in this game, a full 1000/1000 is respectable because you have to put up with some frustrating battles to get it.

I'll be there shortly, currently have two levels left on Formidable and then I'll go back for the one man army achievements.

All hero achievements except save pepper on formidable. Didn't realise formidable would be so stupidly difficult when I first started.

Took half a day to beat Iron Monger on formidable. A bit of luck helped out, always that one stray missile that takes a life. It's stupid that there's really no other way but to sacrfice one life to get to monger to grapple him and then two just to take out the four generators because you're being pounded by so many missiles.

On the save pepper mission flying through the rings protects the core, while giving you a chance to protect the rings.

You don't have to sacrifice a life when you go to grapple Iron Monger. Just put on your shields, fly over and grapple him. Even if you don't successfully grapple him on the first try, the shields protect you long enough to get a second try.

I only need the Excelsior acheivment.

You should get some kind of medal or prize for getting 1000/1000. This is probably the hardest game I've ever played, it makes Spider-Man 3 look ridiculously easy.

Finally got it.  Not a great game but entertaining none the less.  Not as bad as people make it out to be.  And Formidabble is definitely Formidable!!

Strangely, I found the last 2 levels on Formidable significantly more manageable than most of the other levels.  Though I did have to do the pop-in, pop-out of cover method for the Iron Monger.  Pop-out, hit secondaray weapon while shooting repulsors, pop back into cover, repeat.  He's easy picking while flying too, just be sure to boost to cover when he stops.

I usually don't post in 1000/1000 threads, but seeing as the 75pts for beating formidable was pretty challenging, especially flying fortress and arctic battle, I think I'll throw my John Doe on this one.  The other 925 points were really easy though.

Great job folks, i gave up tryna save pepper lol, 740/1000 ain't bad though =) couldn't stand the damn rings always gettin' blown!

hey thanx for the tips i really appriciate it, since i got my HD tv i haven't played, so maybe i'll dust it off tonight and get to work and join the club !!! =)

Np, check the "formidable tips" thread for help on formidable.  The hardest two missions by far on formidable are flying fortress and the very next level after it, the arctic one.  Use hulkbuster for fortress and classic armor for arctic, with power routed to weapons when you fight titanium man.  Make sure you clear EVERY enemy in the level before fighting him, as you'll get stray missiles from miles away otherwise.  Just hide behind the short fat silos and pop out to pulse cannon and rocket him, lay into him good in between his recharges and you should take him down.  Just make SURE to hide from his Unibeam attack, as it will probably drop you from almost full health in the classic armor, but hulk buster's weapons are too slow to fight him so it's necessary to use classic.  Good luck!
