Does any1 kno when Codemasters are fixing the Drive 'Em All Achievement?

When the patch is up which is whenever Microsoft finishes processing it which is hopefully soon.

I didnt even know the cheevo was broken, I've got the cheevo, how long has it been broken for? Is it since the 8-ball pack or an update came out

I have drive 37 different cars up to now and I only need 8 more but I'm afraid I won't get the achievement.

For the last 8 cars you said you have to do, just take each one for one lap of a track in test drive and you should get the cheevo, thats what I did with all the cars I hadnt driven and I got the cheevo for driving all the cars

Don't know what's up with this game, but it's really getting on my nerves. I've played through the entire game and unlocked all the cars, got a few additional when finishing the game, and in the information between races it says 43/45 on "drive the all".

I've viewed all the cars stats on the cars and verified that none has 0km on the tripmeter and rerun the ebay bought that had high milage just to be sure, but still I remain on 43/45 and this seems glitched. From what I've read you could drive the cars in race day as well as world tour.

Have rerun 1/3 of the cars now as precaution and really don't want to have to drive through them all just to find out I still wont get it which seems very likely now.

Any tips... I really don't think I've missed anything.... and please don't say I have to buy the car pack...

the 8-ball car pack means nothing to this cheevo as you cant race them in Grid world

Any car you can race in Grid world you can race in Race day as well and from grid world going through 'view car' you can test drive any of them also

Im sorry but the only real way to do it is more than likely run a lap (choose a small track like maybe the okutuma sprint circuit) with each car and tick them of on a piece of paper sounds g*y I know ticking them of on paper but this is what I did and I ended up getting the cheevo once I had driven all cars

I've done this now... gone through each and every car in Race day, even the Porsche which must me "LeMans'd", and I've finished a race with each and every one, I still get 43/45 on drive 'em all.

All km values and race/event info was before going into this "drive through all again session". Now the ** stars is my note that I've finished them in Race Day today.

This is a glitch if I ever saw one.

i have e-mailed codemasters and they replied by saying they are looking into the matter and possible another title update. I also asked when they were thinking of releasing this update but i had no response. Perhaps if a few more of us e-mailed them we could perhaps encourage them to work on it and release it asap. I am pretty srue its agaisnt their rights to have a game where the full 1000 is not attainable...Anyway worth a shot.

i have the same problem can not find 2 more cars,have got the download but still can not find the missing cars its sending me crazy.....

I got this reply from Codemasters a few weeks ago.

The "Gotta Drive 'em all" achievement is currently not achievable in the game, unfortunately. We are currently investigating what can be done in terms of a further title update to resolve this problem.

I remember seeing somewhere not long after GRID was released that there were licensing problems on 2 of the 45 cars that were slated to be in the line-up. They couldn't get all the legal licensing mumbo jumbo wrapped up on these 2 cars so they were pulled from the car list shortly before the game released, but were not removed from the "actual" list of cars that were needed to be driven to attain that achievement. They said they would remedy the problem with a TU/patch. I haven't played this game for quite some time now and figured they would have fixed this by now, but I guess not.

yeah it was about 2 ferrari's that were going to be in it and then codies lost the licence to have them

I do feel and share your pain dude. I have done exactly what you did, possibly wasting about 2 weeks of valuable game time. I really did not expect this from CodeMasters. Anyhow, here is to hoping they will plug this bug soon...

I do not think so but its worth e-mailing them just to sorta prod them in the side and remind them we are all here waiting.

man i dno, i just e-mailed them and they said they have no plans for futre DLCs but the idea is not ruled out.
hey they may be jsut keeping it low key i dnt know but its obv an automated response as it did not even adress the issue of the glitched achievement. Prob try again soon but only adress that issue.

Hi, u can't get the achievment because there are 2 cars missing from the list, they are 2 ferraris which were taken out because of licensing problems and codemasters couldn't change the game because it was done very late in the development. they will issue a patch soon to change it.

Another incompletably game, hurray. DICE and EA never had a similar *** up with an achievement on Battlefield Bad Company which never got fixed, and I wouldn't hold my breath on this being fixed either. I mean they fixed it then broke it again... so either it's a quick tweak on an update and job done, or Codemaster don't see any benefit to rolling out an update for it because they have no DLC to bring in the cash with it. Shame because it's a damn good game.

Yeah, I whole heartedly agree. GRID is a awesome game.

I cant confirm they will fix it but i must say there is very high chances it will be fixed.

I got an e-mail back from codemasters saying they are looking into fixing the achievement....
well we all probarbly got something similar and so far nothing.

Now that they are finishing off other racing games it would seem they are coming back to GRID, i previously emailed them about additional DLC they replied by saying there is none planned. Recently i emailed them again. Now they are saying there is some DLC on the way but no date has yet been put forward.

Ok, so to add DLC they need to patch the game :) so in doing so i am hoping they will also patch the achievement which would be a very wise thing for codemasters to do especialy seen as they stated they are looking into fixing it.

well jsut thought all my fellow achievement hunters should be aware that in the near future hopefully we can expect a fix... finally.

There was a post by Codemasters staff on their Grid forum saying there would be an update to the ferrari issue and they were hoping to get it out towards the end of April.

correct me if im wrong but is that last april as in 2008. where they fixed the problem but then what were waiting for is the new update for it after they "broke" the achievement again after the 8 ball pack.
