Deep in the game you get chased by a bear....i beat it but is it just me or did that bear catch anybody else of guard.

I knew there was something lurking as you could hear it. When you first see it through the crack in the wall I almost sh*t myself. Then when it appeared moments later and the words RUN FOR YOUR LIFE appeared I panicked somewhat and didn't quite out run it. I was that shaken up I actually switched the game off for the night.

i love how condemned does that. You hear some scratching and you get a chill and forget about. As youre walking along all of a sudden..... BOOM BEAR IN YOUR FACE!!

Anyone else have a problem after you pick up the shot gun your guy would be facing a wall and not be able to turn when the guy is telling you to fire.  Like the first couple of times that I picked up the shot gun I would be facing a wall and couldn't get my guy to turn and would end up with the bear killing me.  It wasn't until I faced the doorway where the bear comes out and picked up the gun that I was able to get a shot off and kill the stupid thing.

running from the metal junker (or whatever) freaked me out even more i think. that thing never stopped, even after i thought i was safe! i didn't like the game at first, having loved origins, but by the end i couldn't turn it off.

The bear scene was the best chase scene in any video game I have ever played. Hands down. Suspenseful and nerve racking. The fact that the only thing the bear thinks about is "Catch Food" makes it so much more freaky, knowing when/if it catches you, you're not just going to be killed, you're going to be dinner...Best scene in a game, ever!

Favorite part of the game hands down! I died a few times and still loved it. Did anyone else notice the stuffed bear in vanhorn's cabin (same level) was also missing an eye??

As soon as I saw the Bear, I a didn't think I would have to face it. Then it said "run for your life" and I was said "from what?" And then a bear smashes through the door and I litteraly ran around in circles looking for an exit. I must have gotten killed atleast 3 times because I forgot to push the bookcase infront of the door at the end before you see the SCU soldier with the shotgun.

Am I the only one that wasnt afraid of that bear? Im not trying to act like a tough guy or anything but it really didnt get to me...I guess all my fear is concentrated on the "paranormal" :O! (Like the dummies in the apartments that...multiply)...oh and spiders ;...;!

I liked the bear the most cause it was the ONE thing you KNEW was real. The other "scary parts" were great but like it was said, the bear is rabid and all it wants is food, it's gotten a taste for people. It was unrelenting and was always one step behind you.

Sure if i was really going through what happened to ethan in this game I would be freaked (but love the whole head explode move) but running through an old cabin to escape a bear. Thats true terror

I had a feeling a bear was going to confront you when you find the bloody arm and Rosa starts talking about saliva and animals, also the ambient roaring of a grisly in the background. I just didnt know it was going to be that fast, vicious, and huge lol.

Hahaha. Yea I got ate a few times, but the very first time I like stood there and tried to attack LOL. But yea you gotta run like crazy from that thing.

The bear section was easily my favourite part of the game, even though I died a few times. I tried hitting it, then tazing it and kept running the wrong way

Can anyone help me with the part where your running from the bear and you come up on the wounded soldier who has the shotgun laying by him...everytime i try to get near him , before i can even respond to what he says the *** bear pounces on me and rips me to shreds , can anyone help me ??? lol ive died like 10 times in a row now

when you run into that room you have to block the door with the dresser.
then run up to the soldier and listen for directions.
