Braid is hardly a Mario "rip off". It simply tributes a few things to our favourite plumber. If you'd played right through Braid, you'd know how much it is NOT like Mario.

On topic though, I would certainly buy Sonic CD for basically any price (within reason), sadly, it's highly unlikely that it'll ever come to XBLA.

Well from what i played of the demo Braid bored me and i'm a huge platforming fan.

I dunno maybe the fact that the whole time traveling platforming was done before but better in Viewtiful Joe.
I honestly think N+ is a better buy for 800.

It would be nice to have Sonic CD on the 360 on the off chance my Mega CD does finally die a death :) But I remain skeptical it will happen for two reasons. Firstly the 360 emulation software would need to target the Mega CD hardware, since there aren't that many great Mega CD only games I'm not sure they'd see a return on their money. Also since they used FMV and CD Audio in Sonic CD you will probably exceed the maximum size Microsoft sets for XBLA games. Of course you could rework things to use MP3 audio and such but it all comes back to money. In comparison what they've done with the Mega Drive games on XBLA is going to be quite cheap after you've done the first game...

First of all, they managed to emulate or port Sonic CD pretty well for Sonic Gems Collection, so it's been done before. Second of all, I'm fairly sure all the rules can be broken as far as size goes. *points and Portal on XBLA being over 600MB*

Sonic CD would sell like hotcakes.
Why?
Because its the only platform besides Sega CD to bring out a major release of a exclusive Sonic game that never came out to popular consoles. Besides in compilations... But not everyone has those systems.

so disappointing that it was the one with Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and Sonic Spinball. talk about forking over cash just for Sonic CD....

Just goes to show Micro wont bring out a series in continuation.
Were's Sonic3, Sonic And Knuckles, and even Sonic Adventure (may be the worst major Sonic game but it's still fun). They bring out games like Castle Crashers, Braid, N+ and other new platformer's... But whats wrong with classics? I'd think the sonic games would be a lot easier to manufacture.... Oh well at least Banjo's coming.
