Re: DIRTY DRIVERS
Gosh, I hope it isn't as bad as the race I had this morning on Nurburgring. It was my first ever online with this game and lo and behold on my first lap a guy was all over me. At the first hairpin he tried to ram me off the course because I got a decent start off the line, then was blocking me into a turn (no problem there) but then on the following straight proceeded to brake check me and bump me off the road and into a spin. Fortunately, at the slow chicane he crashed a bit and I was able to win the race. Karma, anyone?

Re: DIRTY DRIVERS

If that's the way they want to try and win good luck to them, they normally end up losing anyway.   No skill, no brains - too bad they don't want to man up and race hard and fair.

They have to live with themselves.........

Yer I recon this one goes both ways, people were trying to kick me when i was playing my first online race in open wheelers, as I braked on the corner causing a pile up :|, people have gotta learn :) in saying that if you are trying to have a serious go and people are spoiling it going backwards thats a pain :)

Hey dude. Got your message.  We have about 8 or 9 now for open wheelers on Friday nights. We have a good time - not too serious.......Normally a twenty lapper followed by three 10 lappers.  A few laughs and everyone enjoys themselves.

I keep my more 'aggressive' behaviour to the destruction derby tracks... but I know some stuff is unacceptable.  There was this one guy pushing the hay bales into the middle of the road, causing all sorts of carnage!

I suggest to those who don't like dirty driver to find races where collisions are set to off, that way you'll never be taken out by anyone but yourself.

Re: DIRTY DRIVERS
IT becomes fun when you get called out for aggressive driving on the destruction races.... too bad the way crashing is implemented in this game. Oh well the list would be long the only thing i always do when i catch someone driving backwards or just on purpose ramming people is tht i give them a negative review.
Doestn help much but makes me feel good about it. Soandso is now an avoided player. Not much more you can do.

PS Even in the destruction races i go for racing wiht wheelbanging instead of straight crashing cause crashing aint gonna finish you and get exp points

What's up with people vanishing out of nowhere and all of a sudden appear ten seconds ahead?

As for the original subject I took GRID online for the first time about a week ago, and I got rammed from behid a lot, and I understand that a racing game of Grid's nature is a bit of a contact sport and that accidents will happen I got the feeling that most of the time it was done on puposs and thats just mean!! I'm not saying that I dont make errors in judgement, but I try my best to race cleanly and farely.

Still I managed to have a good time and even von two races Big Smile [:D] the bad thing is I stayed up way to late and payed for it the morning after Smile [:)]

Re: Ang. Re: DIRTY DRIVERS

I had this yesterday on the HKS Freestyle Drift.

I was in a 32x multiplier, and this one player called Throwed Joe had posted a 10 million score, and to prevent anyone beating him he'ed deliberatly drive around crashing into the rest of us to hit the wall to stop our scores so he could win.

If id had landed mine before he crashed into me id got 30 million, I managed to beat him the next race and he quit.

Dirty drivers i just try and drive fair but if someone is trying to ram you into the barrcade i just brake so instead of my car crashing they end up out the race or slighty/badly damaged but players do think if you join lets say second race that they think have a god given right to cancel you out any big points in the race and remember even if you join in a middle of a 2 to 3 series you have nothing to lose why not go all out for a top 3 finish half chance you could get it or top 5 is ok anyway you look at it.

anyone who wants to drift with me feel free i have collisions off for those reasons, and i drift legit, i would rather play a frendly game and have fun anyday. seen others in my rooms who fail to drift complain that i hacked the game or move the barrels in the way on the yokohama circuits, i mean if i hacked it i would not beable to get online, my tag would be baned strait off live.

If you are a regular GRID player, I'm pretty sure you have raced this idiot: ant battle
Before he used the name ant battlemode but he got his account banned for aggresively insulting other players without mention totalling every car in the race each time he got a chance..

He keeps doing the same thing, he joins a race crash everyone, leaves the race then join again.
I havent seen him race ONE race without doing this, so whats the point of this guy? ruining the experience for others..

here's a link for his banned account so you can see the prove of this: http://live.xbox.com/en-US/profile/profile.aspx?pp=0&GamerTag=ant%20battlemode

I try not to play dirty, but sometimes its either crash and lose the race or bump into another driver.  I'd rather hit another driver off the road (AND NOT WRECK THEM) rather then lose the race.  Stick out tongue [:P]

When I usually race on demo derby, I put collisions to off so drivers can't race dirty. Unfortunately, when you play in someone else's match, its really annoying when people drive dirty because they know they can't beat you using skill.

Are you reading your own post?  .. you turn OFF collisions in Demolition Derby ..!!.. and thus, you have created a street race, with ramps, and horrible cars .... Demolition Derby is specifically design to WRECK everyone. .. . hence the term .. DEMOLITION.  "this is the only race where driving dirty is supposed to happen.

I like that you said TRY.   People understand a little bumping, that's normal .. but I think the people who "PIT maneuver on the turns, Ram you when you are passing & drive backwards are the DIRTY drivers.

Well they can read the rules before they start the race. They can leave anytime they won't. I will race how I want thank you very much.

Recently, the crashing hasnt been too bad. Ive had a number of clean races with only 1 wreck. I've been playing when there arent too many players online (9.30pm in australia). u race a lot of english players, who are great to have a race with. they usually kick anyone who causes accidents and are always willing to give u some room if u give them some.

From the joy of play to the thrill of victory

I decided to dust Grid off after this and have a crack at it online again. I have to say, I was disappointed. Over 40 races, and only 2 of them I managed to finish unharmed, and it wasn't for want of them trying. Luckily I managed to avoid the last backmarker to wreck himself on the pit-straight on the 8th lap, after he'd tried hitting me and three other guys from lap 1. This was playing in different servers at different times etc... Not sure I'll bother playing it online again.

Re: DIRTY DRIVERS
oh i have had this problem of other drivers trying to make u xcrash etc, in my first online race i was at donnington park grand prix circuit in the tvr's and the race started off fine nice clean race a few little bumps nothing that would take anyone out, but it came to fogartys esses he made a mistake and spun so i took advantage and took the lead but when getting to goodards i saw him still at foggartys esses so i assumed that hed wrecked his car so cam out of mcleans and noticed that he was coming the other way trying head on collions lap after lap, ( BEAT EM EACH TIME) had the same problem in touring cars but they were trying to kick me out when i joined in at the begining i dont mind a little bumping every now and then cause its just racing and if a bump turns into a crash into the barriers is not the end of the world just get the car going again. but i dont get why some drivers think they are god and can crash every one!! just to let poeple know i will be posting these dirty drivers on here, feel free to write me a meesage or add me on xbox i am a clean driver.

god knows y they do it, i guess they feel intimidated. lol. i find when uv started going up a few ranks they dont seem to try as much, to take you out. but yet again they still try and do it. im on jnr pro now and i keep ending up with higher ranks than me and still try and do it aswell as kicking me out of the lobby, so i just put a kick on them. so far i find it to be europeans and some americans not as many tho. sorry if i offened the americans. lol
