Ask a developer aka me
Hey guys, I am James Montemagno, I was a programmer on the game. If you have any questions I will do my best to attempt to answer them. Hope everyone is enjoying the game, as a lot of hard work went into this one. Motz

Hmmm I haven't heard anything, but I also haven't been able to test it myself. I will be online around 1PM PST. If I hear anything back from the studio I will let you know.

Hi James, thanks for posting on here.

Why has the right trigger been restricted to just one minor function and not reprogrammable to acceleration or firing, which many other games use it for?

Thanks in advance.

Market that is a good question, and I don't have a great answer for you. We attempted to give some control over the controls by being able to switch the the shield buttons and turbo buttons I believe. The LB and LT just always seemed to be thrust and reverse thrust. The main reason for not putting firing on a trigger is that you can not tap a trigger. As with almost every ship you can actually perform rapid fires by timing button pushes correctly. I wish I had a better answer for you, but hopefully that helps a little bit.

Re: Ask a developer aka me
hi motz, are there the same amount of levels in score attack as there are in adventure? and if no or yes, does score attack loop?

Zombies everywhere, zombies everywhere, zombies everywhere. They're coming for your brains and it's too late to change.

Great game Motz. Thanks a bunch. I hope it sells good enough.

Guys, I'm not trying to judge here but I'm really worried about your exercise levels.

Re: Ask a developer aka me
There are different amounts of levels between the two I believe. They are completely different levels between each mode though. Score Attack does not loop, it is sorta like a high score mode to see what people can do in the set amount of levels. However there is a Hard setting which is harder. The more you play and get better you will learn how to chain things and work the score system.

It does, in part, so thank you.

Multiplayer RANKED needs 3 people atleast. PLAYER matches do not.

    Yep, I know.

Nothing visual to represent this. Wasn't reporting it as a bug, no worries =)

Was only able to spend 10 min with the game before work but the tutorial sold me... Can not wait to dig deeper into the game. Well done!

That is GREAT to hear. Check out the following to see what went into it.

This might help you see what the developers were thinking:

Hey Motz!

I will be buying this game very soon, I like the demo so far, I looooooove and played the heck out of Subspace/Continuum. I really hope this game takes off as I would mainly be playing the online mode. Btw cool studio setup you got there from the photo :)

DLC for new multiplayer modes like CTF or team DM, now I'm still in the dark about some of this games feature so maybe those are already in the full version.

Oops forgot to say, maybe it's my 360 but the load times are alittle long, especially before the main menu when you first load up the game. It's no biggie tho.

Re: Ask a developer aka me
what are the requirements for beating the game under 120 minutes?  i went through 17 levels and apparently after dying a couple times on the last boss said i had 36 minutes, yet it was more like 50 when i added each individual level up.   I dont have much luck with this game.  My xbox crashes on level 16 in score attack and now i just wasted an hour.

You have to start in training and go all the way through, those are the only requirements. Did you play all the way through adventure mode then go into score attack, or did you just start score attack when you booted up the game. Sorry that you experienced a crash, and for your time that you spent playing.

Think it refers to adventure mode not score attack

Re: Ask a developer aka me
correct under 80 minutes actually 1 hour 20 mins. for adventure. There is a score attack achievement where you have to get all of the crystals to unlock the secret ending.

Do you ever sleep?  Isn't it like 1 am in the morning there (I take it you are in the USA).  And hey isn't it unfair for a developer to top the adventure board;)

:p

Only thing i wonder is why not allowing more players online, like subspace, big arenas with lots of people =)

This was done in adventure mode.  I started from training.  I did each level as fast as i could.  Instead of 20 levels, i played 17.  My total times were an average of just under 4 minutes a level   Yet, when i died on the shred, it said my time was 36m.  After i beat it, nothing.

I will be testing this tonight, I have seen others with the achievement. 17 levels sounds correct as you most likely skipped the secrete levels. I will let you know what I find.

I think it was like 1:30AM or something, no I do not sleep I am here for you guys :) Well I figured after a 8 mill was posted I would give you guys a challenge. I actually just played through it normal. I haven't played through the game in months to be honest, the only reason I'm the top is because I did it in 1 credit and you get a sick bonus.
