Won First Race - 10 Points
Come in first place in race mode with the AI and Laps set to 5 or more.

- Pretty easy. Go to Race and then set-up a Circuit Race. Turn the AI difficulty down a notch, and then choose at least 5 Opponents and 5 Laps. Then, just make sure to finish in first place.

First Career Race Won - 15 Points
Finish in 1st place in any race during your career.

- You need to take a first place (gold medal) during any Race in any event during the Career mode.

First Race League Won - 10 Points
Finish in 1st place in any league during your career.

- You’ll need to get enough first places during races in a specific Event during Career mode. Just finish an Event with a gold medal, that’s it.

Career Complete! - 100 Points
Complete the entire career by finishing 1st in every league and invitational tournament.

- Do just what it says. You must finish the Baja Career mode and achieve a gold medal in every League. Don’t worry about getting a gold in every race, just come in first place for each League.

- Also, you must get a first place in every Invitational Tournament that you qualify for. The Invitationals will come around every year on a specific date, but once you begin an Invitational, you only get to play through it once.

- So, make sure to use the “Restart Race” option until you achieve your gold medal, because each Invitiational only comes around once per Career. Plus, it’s best to wait until you can afford a favorite vehicle, since the Invitationals allow you to race with whatever.

Owns 15 Vehicles - 20 Points
Purchase 15 vehicles through the course of your career.

- After earning enough cash, make sure to purchase 15 vehicles over time.

Owns 25 Vehicles - 25 Points
Purchase 25 vehicles through the course of your career.

- After earning enough cash, make sure to purchase 25 vehicles over time.

Mille Bournes - 20 Points
Drive 1000 miles in all vehicles combined.

- Pretty straightforward, although time-consuming, you need to accumulate 1000 miles throughout all races, whether offline or online. Basically, just drive a lot and you’ll get rewarded. You can check your Profile Stats at any time by surfing through the Options Menu.

Deux Mille Bournes - 25 Points
Drive 2000 miles in all vehicles combined.

- Again, pretty straightforward, although time-consuming, you need to accumulate 2000 miles throughout all races, whether offline or online. Basically, just drive a lot and you’ll get rewarded. You can check your Profile Stats at any time by surfing through the Options Menu.

Clutch Used - 5 Points
Use the clutch at least 5 times in one race.

- Easy as pie. Simply press the “LB Button” to use the clutch. Do this five times in one race, and that’s it.

Hand Brake Used - 5 Points
Use the hand brake at least 5 times in one race.

- Another easy one. Press the “A Button” to activate the E-Brake. Rinse and repeat 5 times.

Preload Used - 5 Points
Use preload at least 5 times in one race.

- Using the pre-load is pretty easy, but many people are unaware of this feature. Basically, when you approach a hill on the track, hold down on the “Left Analog Stick. Then, once you hit the hill, pull-up on the Left Stick until the apex of your jump. Naturally, you will gain extra air because of this maneuver. Do this 5 times during a race.

Speed Demon - 5 Points
Achieve a minimum top speed of 120 MPH.

- A good place to reach 120 mph is by choosing a Rally Race, and then going to “Canyon Lake.” From there, find a race called “Tortilla Flats” and there will be a few open straight-aways to haul some tail. Also, choosing the Trophy Truck Class will ensure you have a fast vehicle to cruise around with.

Roll Over - 5 Points
Roll your vehicle at least 3 times in a row.

- Pretty simple. During any race with a cliff or high incline, simply launch your vehicle over the hill and let your vehicle flip over and over at least 3 times in a row.

Total Loss - 10 Points
Finish a race without any body panels attached to your vehicle.

- This one’s pretty easy. Get yourself a vehicle without many body panels to begin with - preferably one from the Open-Wheel Class. From there, just smash your ride until there’s nothing left.

Careful - 10 Points
Finish a race in 1st, 2nd or 3rd with no body damage what so ever.

- This one could be a little challenging. Just pick a race and vehicle, and then drive extremely careful around the track. However, get enough speed to finish in the top 3.

Friendly Skies - 10 Points
Accumulate a total of 1 mile of distance traveled while airborne.

- This one will automatically unlock over time. Since there’s so many bumps in each race to catch air, you’ll get the Achievement soon enough.

Hat Trick - 10 Points
Finish 1st in three races in a row in Baja Career.

- While in Career Mode, keep “Restarting” each race until you get first place. Do this 3 times during one Event and it will unlock no problem.

High Roller - 10 Points
Have 1 million credits in your account.

- This baby will ultimately take some time. Just keep racing enough Races and finishing Events. Sooner or later, you’ll accumulate enough money provided you don’t spend it too much.

Well Informed - 10 Points
Watch all of the tutorial videos.

- Just go to the “Race’ option and choose between Circuit Racing, Rally, etc. From there, a short video tutorial will start and give you a rundown on what each Event is about.

Clean Line - 10 Points
Complete a lap without ever leaving the track.

- Very easy to accomplish. Once a Race begins, just stay at the back of the pack and drive carefully enough not to leave the track during that Lap. Mission Accomplished.

Clean Driving - 10 Points
Complete an entire race without ever leaving the track

- Very easy to accomplish. Once a Race begins, just stay at the back of the pack, drive carefully enough not to leave the track, and then make sure to finish the Race. Mission Accomplished.

Never Flat - 10 Points
Finish a race in 1st, 2nd or 3rd with no flat tires.

- Pretty easy, just don’t fly over any huge bumps during a Race and you should be fine.

Hot Pit Repair - 10 Points
Get fully repaired in the Hot Pit for the first time.

- Extremely simple. Whether or not you even have damage, just find a Repair Station during a Race, pull-in, and come to a complete stop when it says so. One place to find a Repair Station is by going to “Canyon Lake,” and then choosing “Apache Trail.”

Help From Above - 10 Points
Get fully repaired by the helicopter for the first time.

- Again, easy points. Go to a Baja 250 Race, drive around for a bit, and the press the “Y Button” to summon the Helicopter. Eventually you’ll see the guy land his aircraft next to the track a ways ahead. Then, simply make a complete stop next to him for the repair.

Manual Tranny - 10 Points
Finish 1st in a race with the AI and Laps set to 5 or more using a manual transmission.

- This one’s not difficult at all. First, during the Main Menu, then go to the Options Menu until you find “Driving Physics.” Set the Transmission to Manual. From there, find “Controller Settings.”

- Change the Pre-Set (there’s 10 of them) with a configuration that allows Manual Shifting with the Right Analog Stick. Then, just pick a race and win while shifting throughout.

Won All Hill Climb Races - 25 Points
Finish 1st in every race in Hill Climbs.

- Go to the “Race” in the Main Menu, and then choose “Hill Climb.” Then, come in first place during the 7 Races and the Achievement should unlock. It’s also possible that you’ll need to complete all the “Hill Climb Events” during Career mode - maybe.

Won All Open Class Races - 25 Points
Finish 1st in every Open Class race.

- Same as “Hill Climb Races,” just choose the “Open Class Race” inside the “Race” Menu. Then, come in first place during all 9 races and the Achievement should unlock. Again, you might need to complete all “Open Class Races” during Career Mode as well - maybe.

Won 5 Invitational Races - 25 Points
Finish 1st in 5 Invitationals races.

- Play through the Career, and wait until you qualify for Invitationals. It’s best to wait until the Career is almost completed until you finish them. This way, you’ll have a fast enough vehicle to grab a gold medal. Then, place first 5 times to unlock this Achievement.

Baja 250 - 20 Points
Complete any Baja 250 race.

- Set-up a BAJA 250 Race and then complete it by crossing over the finish line. This Race will take roughly an hour in real-time to complete.

Baja 500 - 30 Points
Complete the Baja 500.

Set-up a BAJA 500 Race and then complete it by crossing over the finish line. This Race will take roughly 2 hours in real-time to complete.

Baja 1000 - 50 Points
Complete the Baja 1000.

Set-up a BAJA 1000 Race and then complete it by crossing over the finish line. This Race will take roughly 3 hours in real-time to complete. Yep, grab a sandwich and empty that bladder.

King of the Hill - 50 Points
Complete the Baja 1000 in a Trophy Truck.

- Set-up a BAJA 1000 Race and then complete it by crossing over the finish line. Make sure you also choose a Trophy Truck in the process. You can earn this Achievement and the BAJA 1000 at the same time. This Race will take roughly 3 hours in real-time to complete. Yep, grab a sandwich and empty that bladder.

Explorer - 15 Points
Find all of the hidden Discoveries in Free Ride.

Go to the “Race” Option and the find “Free Ride” Mode. Pick a level and then cruise around at your own leisure, finding hidden treasures in the process. Unfortunately, I don’t have a complete list showing where everything is hidden on each map.

Basic Multiplayer - 10 Points
Play at least 5 hours in Multiplayer.

- This one is easy, although time-consuming. Just hop online and race around with fellow gamers until you rack-up enough time on your stats.

(Okay, unfortunately there happens to be 9 Achievements that won’t unlock - even after fulfilling the recommended requirements for each.

Even after doing extensive research and experimenting, there has been no luck within our BAJA Community.

Hopefully, we can all come together and find an answer to the following Achievements. Therefore, any help would be greatly appreciated.)

Won All Cabo San Lucas Races - 25 Points
Finish 1st in every race with the AI and Laps set to 5 or more in Cabo San Lucas.

Won All Canyon De Chelly Races - 25 Points
Finish 1st in every race with the AI and Laps set to 5 or more in Canyon De Chelly.

For the last ones you have to do the rally races in the same region to get the achievement to unlock.

You have contradicting statements here. The invitationals will come around each year so if you don't win it the first time you will get another chance.

yeah i hope its wrong. i have one invitational that i bronzed in. and it would suck to have to start a new career just for one invitational race.

otherwise, good list!!!!

 so about the invitationals......................

i just went into the invitational list, and the Slime VW Invitational is still there. i have done this one before and it does show one gold medal on the information side of the screen. so i think its safe to say (for atleast me) that they do come back the same date next year.

if anyone else wants to confirm this that would be great

one more peice of evidence. i am on the march 15th invitational list and there is 2 events (Mckinzies Inveitational & Blue C Rally). seeing as you can only do one event on that given day, it leads me to believe you can get another shot if you mess up on an invitational. i guess i will find out for sure in a few days or so if i get the career acheivement or not.

Actually, it does make sense, it just all depends on how you actually interpret everything.  For example, the first paragraph means that every year the Invitationals will come around until you actually play them.

Then, the second paragraph means that once you do happen to finish an Invitiational, it will no longer come around - hence, only once per Career.  Does that clarify things a bit more I hope?

Great job. :)....             Only you are wrong with Mille Bournes and Deux Mille Bournes                               ( 1000,2000 miles ) achievements. Miles only count in Career Mode .This is on 100%.  Then again about " WON ALL ........RACES" ACIEVEMENTS. ( you can check  my old posts in "BAJA needs an Achievement Walktrough..." )     Better i will say now more easy: Simple won all races and rallys( 2-3 rallys per location ) in Race Mode in each of 9 locations. Set Ai to 5, Laps to 5, difficulte and damage any.           This also works on 100%,today completed last one.   Enjoy.

He means that for the "Won all [location] Races" you also have to do the rallies and hill climbs from those places.  I'm not sure if that includes Bajas.

I've done a bunch of free roam, and so far most of the discoveries I've found are just clusters of buildings, and observatory, some dude's mansion, stuff like that. Some are also big cliffs, dry lakes (i think), etc...

Sorry man, I didn't mean to get on your case or anything.  It's just that some of your writing was hard to understand.  Now that you've let me know your English isn't so good, it makes more sense.

While you are now being clear, your information is quite incorrect.

I've finished the August 1st PSC Rally three times, in three different years, within one career  with a 1st place finish each time. I've done this with multiple different invitationals, so it's not just a one off occurrence.

When you complete an invitational, the invitational option disappears for that day only (but will re-appear next year, or on the next invitational date). So, as someone suggested in the invitationals thread, if you're trying to get first in your invitationals you may want to restart an invitational race (before you finish) if you aren't going to finish first, since otherwise you'll have to wait until the next year for another chance.

It's also worth noting:
 - invitationals do not advance the date
 - you'll only be able to do one invitational per day ( so if you have two available on a date, you'll only be able to do one.
 - you don't get sponsorship money from invitationals

Okay great.  I'm glad everyone is clearing this up.  Personally, I was only going by what people had told me, and I was obviously being fed wrong information.

Won 5 Invitational Races - WARNING

I had won the five requested 1st place Invitational races and never got the achievement.

Only after getting 1st on my 6th Invitational win did I get the achieve. This may not happent to everyone?? Just hang-in there if it doesnt happen on 5 wins.

I'd say the achievements feel glitchy tho as I was using the hand brake for 2 days none-stop in my play and only when I though b0110x to it and just pressed it 5x in a row while driving in a straight line did it pop up.

I got this achievement having done just over 900 miles going by my career milage. It poped up in mid race so could not see the true milage but when I looked I had 912 miles.

My overall milage from the normal options were some 1500 miles inc online play ect... at the time of getting this achieve.

BTW. Invitational Race Milage does not count towards your career milage for some strange reason.

Oh man, I should've searched for this a couple hours ago - I was wondering why I couldn't get those "Finish in First place in X" achievements!

I have spent 14hrs finishing the career & i have not got career complete ach i have done every league in every league i have a gold trophy by every event, also it says 100% on career, but i have not done all invitationals i have done 85% however my ploblem is this, some of the invitationals are still locked and say win more races to be invited (what ive finished my career) so my question is has anyone got career complete ach and did u do 100% invitationals if not how much % on ivitaionals, this is really really annoying ach's seem glitched all over the place witht this game.

Finished career 100% Invitationals, got the 100 pt achievement.  I couldn't figure out why certain Invitationals wouldn't unlock after getting all golds, so I had to use the "SHOWTIME" code to "unlock everything."  Once you do this, all Invitational events appear as a selectable list (and you can see which ones are missing gold trophies).

Great job. Enjoy.

Oh, I just noticed this - I guess they are attainable, then?  I just have to get first in Rlly, Hill Climb, okay - thanks.
