Haven't cried yet, but it's probably bound to happen if this game is as sad as people say it is.. I wept at Wall-E at the end FFS lol.

Just started playing this game after owning it for a year. I really like this game, but the dream about the old senile lady who calls Kaim big brother was really depressing!!!!!!

Re: Who here has cried?
As stated in another post I made in this forum, I've finished disc 1/4 and I cant even keep count of how many times I have cried so far.. the stories, Larium. the dreams are downright depressing but beautiful in their own sad little way. I think that the dream sequences in text was the best decision they made because it has you draw from your own imagination and gives you a "visual-sensory break" from the game.

The game is just fantastic to me being a noivce to the JRPG genre, even if tremendously sad. I think the last time I have felt this way was when I was watching this anime called "Wolf's Rain" where the story was so sad, but the cinematrogaphy, story and voice-acting was outstanding.

Here's hoping to a more light-hearted sections on the rest of the discs...

Don't worry, Jansen will make you laugh one way or the other, because he owns like that.

Yes i've cried at quite a few parts in this game. The stories are, amazing. At first I was like "wow these things are long, like reading a whole damn story" but then I seen how wel put together they are, the touching stories. I read each and evry single one of them, and made some other family members even read them to show how great the game is. I can damn well say the ending made me cry. Poor Sed :\

I must admit the 1st dream was very emotional.. I did well up a bit.
But the following dreams haven't tugged my heart-strings in the same way.

Re: Who here has cried?
The first dream, the dream about the lying girl, and the one with the man marrying a brown girl, who ultimately commits suicide are all extremely well-written. I wanna know who wrote these, and if they have any published books. Stick out tongue [:P]

I'm gonna be honest; these stories are just there optionally, but I read a couple every time I get on the game.

And am I the only one who gets annoyed with Mack's crying throughout the game over everything? I mean, seriously, someone just HAS to mention Lirum, and he gets all emotional.

Thanks for the info, and i haven't cried during any of the dreams.

I seen it, I did it, I claimed it. Dreamt about it, and became it.

Re: Who here has cried?
The first time I played through the Lirum sequence my wife was watching it and she cried. I have to say that I would be very happy to see a sequel. I felt the dream sequence stories added a unique dimension to the story. Plus the game reminds me a lot of a minor cross between Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy X.

This game serves as therapy, I cried a few times. Mostly during cut-scenes, but that first dream made me shed a tear or two XD

Re: Who here has cried?

This is the type of game that makes you cry, then when you least expect it, you're like;

Wow; am I crying...?

How Gamespot could give this emotionally-fueled masterpiece a 7.5, I will never know.

Re: Who here has cried?
Well, I'm not made of ice; a few of the short stories and the death of Lirum got me really, really choked up.  The game may pull a lot of cheap puppet strings to get the user emotionally invested, but I think the sentiment is genuine for the most part.  Caring about the characters, and how the story turns out, was a pretty significant part of Lost Odyssey's appeal for me.

when lirum died it was quite sad... probably because cooke and mack.... theres just something about children crying (at something worth crying over... not talking about when you snatch the xbox controller out of thier hand and they throw a fit)
