Splitscreen Terrorist Achievements:
Splitscreen Terroist Achievements:

There has been alot of controversy about these 2 achievements so I'm pinning this to alleviate the question being repeated over and over.  There was an error in the achievement name text.  The word Splitscreen should have been omitted.

1.  Veteran Hunter
Complete all maps of splitscreen Terrorist Hunt on Normal difficulty

2.  Elite Hunter
Complete all maps in splitscreen T-Hunt at Realistic difficulty

Most ppl including myself didn't understand the term splitscreen which suggest offline play with a buddy.

*note:  If you beat T-Hunt on Realistic first then you will automatically recieve the achievement for Normal.

Set Up:

From the main Menu Screen select single player,  then Terrorist Hunt,  then select map which Border Town will be the default and it doesn't matter about the order you play them,  then choose your difficulty level and the amount of enemies:  low-med-high.  You have No Respawns.  1 Life only.

I just wanted to let you all know so if anyone is wondering how to get them you can but I assure you it isn't easy.  I have only played the normal Terrorist Hunt. You have very little forewarning of terrorist appearence.  They will miraculously appear out of thin air and they are ruthless when it comes to flanking you. So don't think you can snipe from afar. Most will be shot at point blank range.  The enemies will usually be in the same spots but the amount of enemies will vary. Sometimes one, other times many more. One of the more challenging things is that you do not have your snake cam. You simply open a door and face whos there. Closing doors behind you is also futile.  If you have went thru the door then they can flank from that direction regardless, they will rappel as well.  Some maps you will get thru on the first attempt and others will make you pull your hair out as many times as you have to restart.  I found the Library map to be one of the most difficult.  I can only imagine how much tougher it will be on realistic. The main key is taking your time and always look 360 degrees at all times.  For the RB beginner it is a very good way to learn the maps and practice your quick firing reflex which will help you in online multiplayer play.

Just for your info and Good Luck!  You'll need it.

If you complete it in realistic difficulty does it automatically reward you as if completing in in normal difficulty as well.

Re: Splitscreen Terrorist Achievements:
Ok, Me and my brother beat this today on split-screen and we did not get the acheivement. We have 2 accounts so we put one on a memory card and we played together and we played every single map on Realistic difficulty. When we finished neither of us got any of the achievements. I have no clue why we did not get either achievement for Realistic or Normal.

Re: Splitscreen Terrorist Achievements:

Split Screen is supposed to say Single Player I'd imagine, as described in first post.

You must complete terror hunt (all maps) single player.

Doesnt Co-op mean offline play with buddy and splitscreen usually means going online with a buddy.

COOP is online and SPLITSCREEN is offline. For the library, the best way i found was and this might be long so sit tight:

1-go to the front door, open it and then walk back to the column and lean there to cover the door, a few terrorist will come out, wait a couple of seconds and move on to another door.(i dont go in yet)

2-the side door, i do the same thing, open the door then move back to the corner wall.(usually, there's only one terrorist there).

3-the two floors with the ropes at the back of the building, same thing, climb to the window but dont enter, just kill the terrorist in the room then move to a defencev position(the van near the corner is good). Then do the same at the second level.

4-The back door, the van in the street close to the stairs is a good place to fall back.

5- go on the roof and climb the other rope on the other side, not all the way down, some terrorist will be coming out through the door on the second floor, wait and shoot them, when that is done, go back to the front and start entering the library but use the same tacticts. Find a terrorist and move back to a safer position and wait for them to come to you.

It works great for me, if you use the same tacticts in all of the map, find a defensseve position and use it to kill them.

enjoy, hope it helps.

Re: Splitscreen Terrorist Achievements:

I did the Library in 3 segments (realistic)

First I did as  HuMaNioDTyPh0on described - open front door and wait by post for them to come out.

Next I ran into the middle of the Library, where at least 10 terrorists are alerted to your presence, retreat to a defensive position and pick em off.  Pick your position well since they will flank you in most spots.

Finally I ran upstairs and fired a few rounds, then I went and hid in the corner of the washroom.  This has got to be the best position on the level, the terrorists seem to get stuck as they come in the door, at one point I ran out of ammo with both my shottie and MP9, in the time it took me to pull out the D. Eagle the terrorist standing in front of me the whole time still managed not to shoot me, and he was the last one.

I also found Dam and Research Labs challenging, otherwise the alert and camp routine works like a charm.  Worst cases of this were Dantes and Kill House.  In Dantes I got all the terrorists before even entering the building, and on Kill House I ran across the middle level on the right and camped the far corner, got every one, just watch your back.

Just curious; does the GPS 'glitch' work on single player T-hunt as well?

Guess it doesnt as you cannot change the gametype but can anyone confirm? I never tried it - it just came to mind just now......

One very important thing!

When you play the Terrorist Hunt on Single Player, you can't change the character you're playing with. I did this  after Dam, I went from Logan to Kim, and I did not get this achievement. I will now replay the first 4 maps with Kim. I've already completed all maps with Realistic and Low Density, but the achievements has not been registered.

I will inform you as soon as I get these first four maps played through.
