I gotta say that this game is a decent game.  No more no less.  When I first jumped in and had no clue what was going on the game Sucked A$$! 

But then after playing about 10rounds or so it actually becomes fun.  Will it be better than GR.AW. or BF2....
NO WAY!    So there you have it,   one gamers unbiased opinion.  I can definitely see the boards lighting up with this game is garbage, trash, etc.... but in all fairness give it a chance beyond the first few rounds of play because once you get a few guys who know what 's going on it DOES start to become somewhat fun.  CHAOTIC  but fun none the less.

So my personal review based on OXM grade scale I'd say about anywhere in between 6.5  -7.5

The explosions are nice and the concept is a good one. (Basically BF2 (as far as capturing spawn points) with a more cartoony look give or take )
But what I think holds it back is the control. The players in my opinion just move way too stiff.  Now this could all change with the release of the retail version seeing as we don't know how far along this demo represents .... but I doubt there will be any major changes .

just got through playing a round or two with Remi.

Summary:
Its a cross between RTS, Brute Force with a slight bit of SOCOM in there too. 

Game play:
Points are taken away when you don't control a strategic asset (HQ, radio tower, motor pool etc) ... very much like BF games.

Shooting/fighting is very similar to the Brute Force model, as you have a 3/4 view of your "guy".  My German machine guns seemed to spray way more than the American guns ... even at close range.

Air strikes are f'n funny too ... most of the time your opponent can see the smoke of an incoming attack and displace to a safe location, but not always.


Multiplayer:
Friend and I were in 360 lobby chat, so we could laugh as we took turns getting the upper hand in an engagement.  The map you get is maybe as big as Fox Hunt on Socom 2, so too much for one on one even with vehicles... it would just be mayhem if you had several guys on each team.


Overall:
one word: FUN.

I'm not huge on RTS games, but this game seems to pick the best parts of a shooter and RTS to make a good game.  I've gotten a huge desire to buy this game now.

PS. I have read some of the other comments about the graphics and frame rate, and  I can't say that my first three games suffered from frame drops.  I can say that the graphics could be better done, but I lean towards the game play over pretty graphics clamp.  I'm on a decent SDTV though, so my resolution bites.

Of the games I played it is fun, got about 7 kills within two games. I think some of those were bots though. I wouldn't say it is next gen though.

The Bluegrass Phenom

Well it played a lot like I thought it would just froming looking at the screen shots. It's kinda fun, but nothing great. The graphics are pretty disappointing, especially compared to the new 360 games coming out this month. But even besides graphics, it doesn't feel that good to play. I found the controls a little uncomfortable. And you die when you go into the water?!?! What is this, GTA III? Also when you shoot weapons you don't have a good feel when you're hitting someone or not. They don't have that feeling of weight, if you know what I mean. I could see having some fun, especially when you get used to the game and figure out what your supposed to be doing, but for 60 bucks? Really, just get GRAW instead.

I think the game is actually pretty good for what it is--a third-person strategy game. It kind of reminds me of Natural Selection.

I'm not sure why this game isn't on the XBOX1. The graphics are not par for the 360. When I first popped it in, I was about to pull the plug but decided to give it a try. Yeah it took about 3 games before I started liking this game. This is not a FPS so the score can't be given based on GR game that is coming out this month. Would I spend $60 on it, NO WAY. I would get this in the bargin bin and be happy with it for a $19.99 game.  The idea is great for a Xbox1 game.

Were's the my money

I understood alot of the game rather fast. I thought it was just amazing. It seems a bit small but I would say it is definatly worth 40 bucks but that is just based off the one multiplayer map.

I didnt like it too much. Had quite a bit of lag when i was playing 6 players, but i guess that could have been someone elses connection. This should have been a launch title, because then it might have sold quite well. THQ have kinda dropped a *** releasing it at the same time as graw, but then again, there has to be someone that will buy it! I guess life would be boring if we all liked the same thing. Fair play to people that like it, dont listen to all of those dicks saying "dont waste your time downloading".

Pretty much how I feel. If this game had been set to be released during the december-feburary game drought it may have been a big hit. To bring it out against Oblivion and GRAW with a demo that is shoddy to say the least... I doubt it'll take off.

The game itself I feel is very mediocre. Sure there's an emphasis on strategy but not a very big one. Everything is just decent I feel. Nothing stands out, nothing is really gripping me. Just a very standard affair. The demo itself though, has some major problems. It's crashed on me 4 times within an hour. People are saying in the lobbies they're geting disconnected for no real reason. Some pretty unbareable lag/rubberbanding too. Maybe the fact I feel it's so standard is because it's frankly hard to play right now with the intense blanket of lag.

As of right now I'd give it a 5/10. Nothing special, nothing so bad it makes you want to erase any memory of the game.

i played it and the characters are slow, the guns take 100 rounds to kill, and the overall game is just... horrible

This game is pretty good once you get the hang of it.  I was just in a 4 vs 4 game that, thankfully, had no lag.  People had fortified their sides of the map and it was really tough trying to break through their defenses.

You have to play this game more than a few times to really see what it has to offer.  I think many of the people posting on here didn't really know what type of game The Outfit was supposed to be.  This is supposed to be the complete opposite of GRAW, so the comparison doesn't really make sense.  This is supposed to be an over the top strategy game and that doesn't even try to be realistic.  It succeeds in what it was supposed to be.

My only complaint would be the handling of some of the vehicles.  Once you get used to them though, the game's great.

I'm loving it now that I'm used to it.

It seems you really like the demo or really hate it.  I've played a about 4 games so far and haven't lost yet.  The game seems BFMC like where there are checkpoints you need to capture.  I really like the points/money feature.  You earn points by gaining checkpoints and kills.  You got to save up your points to buy a tank in this game.  I've never played a game like this before.  I think once people understand how to play this game it will be a success, unfortunately many gamers don't have the patience to learn new controls and strategies.  If it doesn't have Halo2 controls the game will flop, sad very sad.  People will say the graphics suck but for me graphics are not everything, if the game is fun thats what matters most.  This game will be fun, just give it time.  It is the first day its been out afterall....

I would buy this game at a reduced price.  There is just too many games coming out in March/April.  The developers should have waited till summer to release this I think.  So I'd give it 7/10

Good Post.   I think the majority of people wanted to jump in and play a kill fest and that's not the case. While there's a lot of chaos going on it's not deathmatch.  U can actually win a round in about 2 -3 min if your team knows what to do.  While graphics do make a game better, it's all about gameplay for me and how fun it is.

Excellent MATURE post!!!  Gameplay should be the most important factor.  Who cares about next gen eye candy if it's not fun to play?
