Yes, I'm back once more... Does anybody have some tips of defeating it, without using arrows or health items while still dodging it's attacks? Any input is much appreciated!

I havent tried it myself, but the Kusari Gama (the ball and sickle) is meant to be good against him.

Yes indeed, but mainly it's UT. Once you have essence unleash near the boss and usually you'll kill some buggs at the same time so you can string the UTs. For a second playthrough the Scythe makes short work of him as well.

I'm stuck at genshin chapter 7... I beat him in chapter 2 but I can't even seem to damage him this time around?

Got level 3 scythe, LS and FT, max invent 90k ess and some LotG, If anyone has a good strategy, please post..?

First kill all the IS ninjas, then what I did was just use the 360 UT with the Staff. It will take a while but you wont be at any risk.

There are a number of ways to kill him with your arsenal. Probably easiest is with the claws; keep your distance (always block and don't jump) and wait until he finishes a combo and then; forward XXX (three dashslashes).
Rinse and repeat. Important is have patience, stay clear of him untill he goes for a combo and after the combo unleash an attack. Personally I use the Scythe on him.

For the Water Dragon, Stay on the platform that holds the key to the Bone Boss Area and use your Fiend Bow with charged arrows. The only attack that needs to be dodged standing there will be the roar. Quickly dash right or left just as the roar waves reach you. Dump level 2 charged arrows in him until he is defeated. This is actually the easiest Boss fight in the entire game.

What I usually do with the rocket launcher guys is place myslef on the corner of like a wall so only the right side of your boady is howing and you can launch a arrow at them and they cant see you.

Well there are 2 ways to look at it really, if want to kill everything then kill everything, if you just want to beat mentor then skip what you feel you must to progress, there's no shame in it on a 1st mentor run, just do what you have to do to survive.

Just make a mental note of every part you turned tail then go back and give 'em what for on a new game+, good luck with your run mate!

Chapter 11. Wow. I can't even get past the first fight... should I use scythe, LS or FT? And how should I do it?

Hi mate, I just did this chapter today on MN, I used the Tonfa for the early battles, just slowly edge down the stairs to spawn the 1st fight and backtrack to the start point and charge a Tonfa UT and begin chaining attacks, take out the archers with IS then slowly edge down to spawn the next fight and head back up again to charge a UT.

Just take it slowly and you should get through it ok, it's a brutal chapter but patience is the key, use the weapon that works best for you but I prefer Tonfa for the earlier battles as Ryu will often cover a lot of distance to connect with enemies and the de-limb is practically guaranteed if not the kill.

I'm a Scythe man and the way I do it is to go to the stairs and dash back behind the wall and charge a Lv.2 UT. They will come to you and if you time it right you can almost string UT the first batch. After the first batch slowly go down the stairs. About halfway dash forward and use a fire ninpo to get rid of the rocket archers and you will spawn a second wave. Quickly go back upstairs behind the wall and fight em there again. Once they are gone there's 1 left down the stairs right through the first wooden gate. For the next wave go back up the stairs about halfway and jump all the way down. This is the trickiest part and you might wanna use your windninpo here, either where you land or even better try to make it across the wooden walkway to the next enemy batch and ninpospam the lot of em there. After that it's white ninjas only and you can use the Muramasu statue as a sign when they come. (if you're fast you can refill before the light go out for the first wave) Just watch for the light to go out and jump back to charge. There are a couple of waves and after that you can save.

Or, you can skip the whole fight and make it all the way to the bridge all the way down where the big fight takes place. And that's funny too because of all the enemies that follow you when you go through the first gate of the bridge the purple IS who are waiting for you there will all be statues; you can kick them at your leasure and they won't do anything but stand there. Pretty funny.

Both of you... Thank you so much! I'll try what you two said, and first try and actually kill them all. If that doesn't work... well, I'll try and run through em all :). Also, any tips for the courtyard fight? I heard there was some kind of glitch but I want to try and fight my way through it, though. Any help is appreciated anyway... Everyone is really helpful.

Alright, this is just ******* insane. I can't kill them, I can't run past... this stupid chapter will probably put me off trying to complete Mentor and possibly (never) MN. I'm lucky I didn't break a controller... These guys just spam you to hell.. nothing seems to work....

(Why can't you edit posts? It's really annoying.)

Just take a break and come back to it mate, it works wonders. The game seems harder the more frustrated you get, Ch11 is the last really hard part left so giving up now is a shame after coming so far. You'll feel more confident once you hit that 1st savepoint, I was going through exactly the same thing today, I took a few hours off then came back and beat the damn chapter.

If you're skipping; jump down from the top of the stairs and equip the DS en run for it with a dash-jump-flying swallow. If you get stopped, use the windninpo and keep running (don't wait for the essence) all the way down to the big Rasetsu fight arena. Once there clear the dogs and rocketarchers (fire ninpo if you still have some).
After you cleared it and got the key they should all be gone and you can go back to Muramasu to refill and you'll have 2 savepoint to refill your health.

Once you get to the bottom and spawn the fight be real quick and jump to the base of the tower and up to the top, Ryu will not run sideways and fall off the base here, so as soon as you hit it press jump to land on the top of the tower, take out the archer then flying swallow across to the next tower for the 2nd archer.

When you're up there stick to the back of the archer tower and wait for the ninjas to jump up to you, use XXY with the DS, only one ninja at a time will jump up to you and if you stick to the back the IS rarely hit you.

Yeah, I did that before you posted, but found it on accident :P I'm at the courtyard now... Got any tips? It seems impossible.

I'm at Zedonius, chapter 12. I got.. enough healing items, but the question is, how do I kill him? I damage him a little bit, he flies off, summons red snake demons and I'm dead seconds later. Should I also use ninpo?
