Since the update i have been getting the exact same message... cant download anything from the marketplace.

I've also got this dreaded status code - looked on Xbox website for about an hour and found nothing on it. Sodding thing is stopping me from downloading anything - free or premium. Any help most appreciated. Cheers.

This is driving me mad!!!! i just bought 2000 points and now i cant diownload anything! I have also spent hours on the net trying to find a way to fix it. The weird thing is that i can download things on my other account but ive put the points on this account! Can someone please HELP!!!!!!!!!

Exact same thing is happening to me. Its really annoying and I hope it gets fixed soon

Oh thank god I'm not the only one! I was worried my Xbox had broken but yeah it is happening to me too.

Argh... it seems it's only affecting NZ and Australia. Hopefully xbox knows whats happening... with 2000 points left i'd like to be able to download a song or two!

I've rang Xbox support and they informed me that they know about the issue and are working to resolve it. Unfortunately, none of their tips helped to fix the problem for me.

Darn. What was their advice? it just seems strange that all my other NZ friends can download content perfectly fine.

Yeah same problem here, i tried all their suggestions and still no fix. this is stupid i want to get waw map pack 2

yeah so i rang xbox support (0508555592) and they got me to call back in 24-48 hours..... i did today and they told me that the code had some issues to do with the NAT settings... i fixed them and noooooow it stil doest F@#$ING work whoopdy doo so i urge you guys to call them. i mean it wasnt too helpfull for me however it may be for you, also xbox will hopefully catch on if more of us complain..thanks guys call em if you got the time.

This is pretty ridiculous... you spend $80 a year on gold and then lots more on points, and you cant even use them.

i have the same problem i rung xbox live aswe but they sed they were aware of the problem but do not know what it is.

Yeah - it's a known problem since the background update which was recently done. It's not affecting everyone, but for those that are affected it seems to block MS Points spending + redemption codes. Hopefully this'll be rectified soon.

Same problem here. But I found that if you desperately want to download any content, you can do it from the xbox marketplace website. If you purchase something from the website it seems to automatically download to your console.

i got the same problem but im under 18 so i cant download from the website. i rang microsoft and they gave me the most useless advice arghh i want my halo maps!

i got the error code. is it worth while calling MS or is it a waste of time.

I've been getting the exact same problem since the update about a week ago. No fix for me either yet. Ive been trying to buy Big Surf Island to no avail. I got in contact with one of the guys on http://blogs.msdn.com/xblops/ and hes been asking me to do a few things to try work through and fix it, but nothing has worked so far. Come on Microsoft!! At least roll back the update until you've worked out whats going on with it!

Same problem after emailing them  4 times they all tell me diffrent things,  one even said i am banned for no reason!
Com'on xbox fix this NOW!

This doesn't seem to be working either, 'server down' or some rubbish. Like a previous poster said we pay big money for our Live memberships, so this is ridiculous.

thanks matt but you spelled my name wrong its zak anyway soo guys i called them.....again and they said that the new update (you know the one it f@#ked all our s@#t up) it makes it so child accounts (even if they are allowed by the parental settings to download stuff) cant because microsoft decided to f@#k them over by making it so nothing can download for some stupid reason so im going to ps3. this is a waste of my god damn time......oh by the way their brilliant scheme to fix it was to wait it out till the account turns 18 that on its own is bulls@#t i have to wait a year for this acount turns 18 yeee fricken haa.

no way... that cant be right. i know for a fact that at least 3 of my friends have NZ child accounts and they can all download fine.

i know all my friends can download stuff

this is totally F'n me off now, it been like this for over a week and i want to get magic the gathering. stupid microsoft doesnt want my money then. they better fix this soon
