i can handle big opening prices because they will come down, i can even take the heckling i get for careing that much about what my avatar looks like but what is getting to me is there is no way to see how to unlock avatar awards in any game yet or even a list of games that have them can some one point me in the right direction?

There are none yet as far as i know. Splosion man is supposed to get an update to include them but other than that i think its only for future games.

same idea as on the pS3 with rewards (clothing items) connected with games that you play.  Have friends with the PS3 and they ended up replaying some of their past games to unlock awards/clothing.  It would be nice to see a list of possible games and some dates as to when those updates will take effect.

I like the awards idea, hope it turns out to be applied to some of my favorites, and to the big releases that are coming soon starting in Sept with Beatles rockband.

well in my opinion they should make it to where your awards from previous games in the past that you have played also have awards so that they carry to the current time so at least you can feel accomplished having achieved 1000 gamer score on all those past games that you have played countless hours on. But it will be irritating to find that microsoft will only give awards to games coming out to games that are coming out after this update.

we should all expect awards to be few and far between. also expect very few free clothing items. in the past everyonce and awhile new FREE stuff would be available to put on your avatar. those days are gone now that they can charge you out the wazoo for it.

I think some of the new games coming out will include avatar awards that are clothes. Madden 10, MW2, Halo: ODST, not sure about any others.

lancers are a great idea but only if we get spartan lasers as well. i also like the idea of having retro active awards like if you played and got all achievments for both gears of war games you could get the lancer like was just mentioned cause i think it will be one of the more sought after awards. i would also like to see all armor varients form halo show so i could make my avatar look exactly like my spartan. if anybody finds anything out about this post it here or contact me on live.

Oh btw, I heard that the way it works is you unlock the achievement then you have to go to the marketplace and unlock it through the avatar marketplace rewards section... THEN... are you ready for this? *Drumroll* You have to PAY for it to be able to wear it! Awesome... who was surprised? I was... not really...

A also have a feeling that over time, there will be awards for every game......as I understood the video they had out before the update that told you about it, there will be weekly updates for it.  Of course, the big games go first, like Halo and Gears and such.  And I'm sure the smaller games won't have much too offer, either.  Maybe a t-shirt.  But something.

Right now, the only awards that I'm thinking about are the one OXM mentioned for Halo 3's Overkill achievement, if it'll just be something with the medal on it, or something unrelated, and when Banjo/Perfect Dark's awards will come out.  After all, they made the avatars in the first place.......if I remember right.

But... if you check Gamespot (Which could be wrong, but I doubt it). They say that even though you unlock them you don't get them. You have to pay for them to fully unlock it.

Eh, I never use Gamespot......if you could, could you please post the link to this?  They might be on to something.....even though it does still confuse me why you would pay for your own reward after doing the requirements for it.
