I just rented this game, and I noticed that there is an option to buy and or sell stuff through an Online Marketplace for armor and weapons....
Now is it that it is just not working, or it is that no-one is on? How does it work if it is even working? Are you able to buy and sell?

The answer to the question is that there is no actual downloadable content for this game. Silicon Knights, guided by hubris as opposed to common sense, thought it would be such a massive success they would be able to milk it for quite a few months after with extras. Alas, it flopped miserably, thus DLC has never, and will never, be released for this title.

extra content already exists for this game but as you said, it did poorly, so it wasn't released.

I agree with you there. If extra content already exists then they should let it out. However it may well be possible that they have decided to keep it and use it in any possible sequels to reduce development time. It is also possible that SK, seeing how poorly received the game was, don't want to "test" it again by releasing content. The game performed poorly in sales but it didn't do catastrophically. Indeed it was more successful than a few titles that were slated to be AAA block-busters (Unreal Tournament 3 springs to mind), so SK and its shareholders can take some solace from that. However if they release DLC that nobody buys that really would destroy the entire project.

I have played too human more than a hundred hours. I've never played Diablo or other loot grinding games (Castlevaina SOTN would be the closest) and i loved this game. Takes time to understand it but the investment really pays off. And speaking of Unreal Tournament 3, that's another game that is pretty cheap and looks really good. Is it possible to just get into it now and enjoy it? i'm not good at shooters but i enjoy them... my concern there is me getting destroyed in that game.

The game sold like 800,000 copies. Being that most of its players are diehards about the game, I think DLC would still sell quite well. Ngaiden 2 had dlc and I can only find about 5,000 players on its leaderboards. I know Too Human would do better than that!

There are no recent official statements to my knowledge. And that is not bad thing. People at siliconknights.net are close enough to the developers to know for sure that they are indeed working on too human and more. For us, TH players that's great and for those who don't like the game... well, i don't think that it would do you any harm, so, let's not argue, let's play the games we like. I like the IP, and think it has a hell of a lot of potential. Stuff like Diablo, Sacred 2, the original Fallouts are among my favorite kinds of game. I feel that Too Human squandered its potential on some extremely poor design choices. So I like the game, not the gameplay.

U should really try playing the game again then. Shoot, its only like 10  bucks now. After getting used to it, the TH control scheme is the best suited for this genre.

What about the gameplay is it you don't like?

im guessing its the twitchy controls, wave after wave after wave.......of enemies, 50 second long respawn, and the occasional bug. just my guess

The Club is a great game, I love the design and graphics for the characters, but in the long run the game doesn't have enough meat to keep you playing for long, which is why I bought it for $10 new. People just didn't understand the concept behind it, being it basically a racing game with guns.

I thought SK was gonna develop something for the Wii, as they mentioned they were interested and Nintendo still holds some shares on the company, could be wrong though.
