i like the game, but im not obsessed with it to the point of using the games specific website forum. i love guitar hero and i dont use that one either. still. something seriously needs to be done about this glitch. i hate cheaters and the fact that this is such a HUGE probelm with the game and it takes all fun out of it is astonishing that this has not been fixed yet. especially since as you stated that this is atleast a 2 week old problem now, ON THEIR FORUM for that matter.

I'm sorry. but you cannot call a glitch a strategy... you get a permanent 2 tech levels that CANNOT be removed even if loosing the base. thats like saying super bounces or BXR in halo are strategys... no they are glitches and glitches (that give you an advantage) = cheating.

The solution: Rush. Deploy light infantry forces with maybe some scout vehicle support, attack from the rear and flanks of a base and blow up the enemy supply pads. He can't do squat with no resources. Eco boom and spam his quantum singularity back to hell.

there should not be an ingame solution on how to try to prevent doing it. it shouldnt be there at all. it should not be something that you need to make your gameplan about.

But them doing it makes them ridiculously vulnerable to a rush. The glitch inadvertently adds a little depth to HW.

regardless as to how open it leave you but the payoff is good or whatever, the fact is that it is a glitch that should not even be in the game. preforming a glitch is a cheat. this should be fixed asap.

What do you want Robot to do? Wave a magical wand and say it's fixed? No. They aren't going to make an update just for the cryo glitch, they'll include other fixes/balances. You likely won't see the update until next year anyways as this is the busiest time of year for the MS team that approves DLC/updates and HW is probably not too high on their list...

At least Robot said they are aware of the glitch and trying to fix it

so you are saying the ONLY way to cheat is to mod? ....no. glitching is cheating. especially in a way like this. when you glitch like that you might as well just start yourself off with tech 2 because it doesnt even cost anything.

Is doing the same thing over and over again in a fighting game cheating... no.

It is dishonest, unsportsmanlike, and stupid... but it is not cheating... you will not get banned for it.

your right, doing the same move over and over in a fighting game is not cheating, its cheap. but not cheating. why? because you are still doing something that was intentionally put into the game, and you dont have to do something that bugs the game out.

However if you did something that would say, glitch someone to be stuck and unable to move in a fighting game and you could just whail on them. that would be cheating. why? because you abused a glitch. most games ban people for abusing glitches. i rember when bungie did that in halo 2 all the time. but i still find it a bit hipocritical that they allowed BXR and it even became a mlg allowed rule.

It's actually somewhat useful in 1v1, if you can succeed in making the other guy turtle with 2 turrets and keep him from getting his 5th-7th buildings up with some hog harassment or if he's PoR kill his leader early on (it's ridiculous how bad 4 Gunner hogs own an unupgraded PoR) and while he's recovering save up to glitch 2 reactors, and get Guass and Chain Amp quicker than he can recover.

This sounds even more useless than the unkillable rifleman squad glitch from Kane's Wrath. Seriously, what's he going to have on the ground to fight you while he's doing this? Roll in some tanks and blow some sh*t up.

Exactly why this glitch isn't a big deal. But at the OP's level, everyone thinks it's unfair to attack before everything is max tech and fully upgraded, so it presents a clear problem for them.

First off no not EVERYONE knows how to do it. there will always be people who dont. but when you post it more and more its more likely that the number of people who dont know will decrease signifigantly. and yes you could goto halowars.com but as ive said before, not everyone is going to use the game specific forums, i love guitar hero with all my heart but i still dont use those ones. think before you act.

If you can beat it easily, then just laugh in the other player's face as you get an easy win. Just like I do when I a$$ ram a Venom spammer with Firehawks in CnC. Trust me, they either flip or rage quit when that happens. It's really funny.
