TES Online
Well since almost every game that's out now is online or people want to play it online. My question is if TES 5 was online like co-op would you play online all the time or just part of the time. Personally I would be online all the time.

Since Elder Scrolls 3, I've been dreaming of the series being an MMO (like World of Warcraft). Realistically, I'd guess it would be a party system, where could play with a limited amount of people in a group online.

Funny this thread should come up.
I actually did some research on this subject a couple nights ago.
What I found was quite interesting.

I have one other post that basically backs up about a great possibility that they could be making a TES:ONLINE

If they made a TES: ONLINE, i'd get it, and i'd scroll all of you. Stick out tongue [:P]

Is this the only sort of thread that appears on here now for Oblivion?? I agree 100% with death knowz

I am sick of reading about it. Thats what W.O.W is for. Oblivion is best for single player only.

Yes this forum would appear to be forever damned to have to go over Multiplayer.

Similar to how back in the day the Morrowind forum was plagued with constant "r dis gam b BC????//?" threads.

I miss those days...

BC = Backwards Compatible.

It was a very frequent and very annoying question, too the point where I began to threaten that I would hunt down and murder anyone who asked the question with a full scale replica of Frostmourne.

Not forever, just until they come out with a tes game that has MP.

And as I always say to those who say MP would ruin the game...you can't know that.  It might be good, it might be bad, it all depends on how it was implemented.  Perhaps a very limited (2-4 player) co-op mode would be sufficient to satisfy people's MP desires, and would allow them to keep the game's concentration on the single player game.  Only a few people are actually suggesting an MMO, I think most people just want to be able to join up with a friend or two.  There wouldn't even have to be any achievements associated with it.

But like the rest of you, I am getting pretty sick of this conversation.  I almost hope they put in some form of MP, even if it is a cheap, unsatisfactory system, just so we can put the topic to rest.

I would say that the single biggest problem/issue that most people have with TES V is the fact that it doesn't exist yet, which makes it really hard to play properly.  Wink [;)]

I hate the idea of The Elder Scrolls being online. One of the things that makes it great is that you can immerse yourself in the world entirely and forget about everything else. I don't understand why people want every game to be online. I mean, yes if the game calls for multiplayer, do it, but The Elder Scrolls does not.

And having the ability to play online prevents you from being able to immerse yourself?  There is nothing that makes you play a game online, unless you are one of those people that can't stand not getting every single achievement for every game you play.

People have fun playing games.  People have fun hanging out with their friends.  It seems natural to me that therefore people will enjoy hanging out with their friends while playing video games.  We all have a built in desire to share the things that we enjoy with the people that we like.  An online MP component means that they can do so even when they are not able to physically be in the same place.  That is why people want every game to have a MP component.

I would prefer the next Elder Scrolls game to be single player for the reason I love to immerse myself in an RPG game. But even if they do incorparate a MP option, does NOT mean that you HAVE to play it like that. There are plenty of online games out there which you can play story co-op if you like, but also on your own. There is going to be no one to force anyone to play it online. Myself, I would give it a try but probably stick to offline gaming for it.

Bethesda, in my opinion, should stick to keeping it an offline game, so they can focus on making it a class game, thats better than Oblivion. I would prefer to see a bigger game world for a start, if its possible, and no loading times for entering cities. Also, if its possible. Plus many other things to make it better. Longer story quest for starters, and more side quests, and small towns but, its all down to space and would the game run smoothly.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see what they present to us when its finally finished. Now lets stop this topic, as its been around longer than a cheap 60 year old prostitute!

Its not my place to judge but its an elderscrolls topic none the less, and I think we should respect that. Smile [:)]

I'm kinda buttering up to the idea of an elderscrolls online game. I wouldn't mind showing off my nerdiness by playing day in and day out.
