How about the idiots that ride around with you in the gunner's seat and don't shoot anything, and don't talk.  Then, when you land to repair, they won't get out to help fix the damage.  They just sit there and wait for you to get out to repair. When you finally do get out with drill in hand, they immediately steal the chopper to pick up their friend, so they can get shot down in 30 seconds.

They get TK'ed the rest of the round if I see them again. 

Few things in this game are more aggravating than those lalalaholes.

and the sniper who uses the heli as a personal transport and dumps it

if your not in the same squad, the pilot should get a prompt to accept or deny entry for non squad members
playing with no one else, great, let em in

I can fly the helicopter just fine but, I choose not to because I find battling on the ground much more enjoyable (besides the fact you have to start teamkilling just to get the darn thing typically).  With that said I do not care if ppl take the heli or not.  Everyone has to start somewhere, just let ppl play the game the way they want and you play the way you want.

I had to fight to get my experience in the heli, just the same as they have to fight to get theirs. If they want to practice flying, look for a room in which you are the best pilot and therefore are the best suited to fly. It's not hard to find a game like that..

This game really needed some kind of mode to allow people a way to practice with the new heli controls... i'm usually a great pilot in any game (operation flashpoint, bf1943, bf2mc)... but these controls are effin weird... def getting the hang of them though... muscle memory is about to kick in

Our military leaders started out as privates; does that mean every private has the right to command the army? Company presidents and executives all started out as an average employee; does that mean every employee should be able to run the company?

I know these analogies are in a different context than a game, but they still apply. Just because everyone started as an equal doesn't mean everyone will stay equal. Those who have worked to be the best deserve first dibs, while those are still working to be the best will have to work even harder to top the current heli pilots.

Actaully I thought everybody had the same right to fly, just because somebody is better at something than me doesn't mean I should be excluded from that option. I understand your complaint though and can see what you are saying. I think the big problem (and I just started playing a couple weeks ago) is people don't communicate. If I am going for a heli and somebody yells that they are a better pilot I'll gladly take gunner. Although like many other here I prefer ground assault.

Well in an earlier post, someone posted a real life analogy and you stated that this was just a video game. So in your mind, those situations truely have nothing to do with it. So pick your side, cause your a little double sided right now. Either it's just a video game, and real life matters not, or its a video game and real life does matter?

Also, I payed the $60 for the game, so I am going to experience what I want to experience, whether I am good at it or not. There is no "video game constitution" stating I have the right to fly or not. When you buy the game for me, then I will allow you to dictate whether I can drive that tank, or fly that chopper. Crazy world your living in if you think you have the "right" to tell me how to play a game I bought.

I submit that I am only an average player at this game...seriously, who cares though, and you are probably more skilled at BF:BC than myself....thats fine, it is just a video game..I'll live I think.  Maybe I'd be better if I had both the time and the inclination to play games more, but due to keeping my office desktop computer tuned to this site while I"m at work, I spend more time here in the forums, than I ever do actually playing games by far.  Now, I may be better than some players at say...driving an armored vehicle, but this does not "entitle" me to said vehicle before my less skilled teammate...its first come first serve, and I certainly aint gonna get bent about him driving off in the tank I was runing towards....who cares?...geez.  The only "entitlements" in video games are gamerscores, game achievements and game unlocks, and I think thats about it
