not unless 24 is old... I've maxed out Fallout 3, and my first console was a NES, then I jumped straight to PS1.

i'm 32...  34 ain't old, knock it off.  i've been a gamer since the days of vectex and artari.  if games continue to become more sophisticated, like fallout, i'll be a gamer till i die.

Most gamers in general range from ages 12-18.
Most RPG gamers in general range from 14 - 20 I think.

I'm 15, so I can't really judge what old is, cause Deisenaut's been along more then double that I have, but for gaming, he's pretty old.

Still, he doesn't compete with people I've met over WoW. I've met a 51 year old guy over WoW. xD

Re: Old Fallout 3 players
i've heard that most gamers are in their teens and 20's, but who knows...  way back in the early eighties when gaming was just getting started (remember pac-man fever?) games were naive - but, they've become more sophisticated and evolved like the film industry.  i grew up with games and it's silly to think i should stop just enjoying something because i reach a certain age.  games will eventually lose the stigma of being for kids, and geeks; and it'll be games like fallout, mass effect, and grand theft auto that lead the way.  it's funny that the previous poster mentions that most gamers are 12 - 18.  the esrb says that for a mature rated game you have to be 17.  i guess that means you can only have fun for a few more years before you have to grow up.

Stupid, isn't it?

I never really understood ratings. Just because I play GTA doesn't mean I'm going to go out and rob a bank and kill people. That's why I'm playing the game - to see what it's like, or, kind of like, or kind of not really like at all with added fun.

Re: Old Fallout 3 players
Yes sad to say I am 52 years old and bought the system last year when Fallout 3 came out on xbox. I'm an old falloutguy, played fallout 2 and fallout tactics. When I got out of the Navy in 1976, home version video games were just getting started. Todays games are light years a head of what I played. I think the first system was Atari and then Nintendo 8 bit.

Re: Old Fallout 3 players
There are older gamers then 34, that's as normal an age for gamers as 12 or 20 is as we have all grown up with video games. My dad is 44 and is sitting in the living room playing Eve on his computer as I type this. He has been gaming most of my life (I'm 21). A really old gamer is 50 or up, but even then there are tons older then that that break the mold.

I am 43 years old. Play Fallout, Halo, Fable 2, GoW, etc.

I have been gaming since games began. Had a pong machine, then Atari, then began on an Apple II and programmed in Basic language.

Just finished Fallout 3 on my PC, but even though it is a powerful laptop, it cannot handle the high powered graphics settings, so I will probably replay FO3 on the Xbox shortly (to try out the evil life in the wasteland).

I'm 36, been gaming since I played Pong on an uncles pong console.

It's amazing how far video games have come, when I see a youngster complaining about the graphics in Left4Dead I shake my head in bewilderment.

32 and I was blown away by Fallout.  I just think it nails alot of things you look for in a game and then some.  Just a complete game.  My all-time best game list .

1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Super NES)
2. Fallout 3

35 here.  Started with Combat on the Atari 2600, then Gauntlet on Commodore 64, Sega Megadrive, Playstation, Xbox and now Xbox360.

My friend and I programmed a text based game for Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy on C64 when we were 12.  Probably made it about 100 pages into the book...

I'm 18, been gaming since I got my hands on a Gameboy. Used to play those things to death!! Still remember how the game went from a sturdy brick to a blow on it to hard and it will break but you need it for Pokemon clam-shell.

Re: Old Fallout 3 players
I am 60. After buying my wife a Wii Sport package last Christmas, I bought Blazing Angels and World at War just to try them. I was very disappointed in the controls and video quality using Wii. I could tell from watching G4 on TV that there was better stuff available.  I went to Target in January and left with XBOX 360, HDTV LCD, Fallout 3 and a Prima Game Guide. That is about the last time I saw any members of my family. They all stay upstairs and the basement has filled with empty pizza boxes and Dr. Pepper cans. I put out lots of Roach Motels, so its not THAT bad down here. I did take a brief break to visit the real Vault 101, which is locared at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV. I recommend a tour of the Congessional Bunker to all Fallout 3 folks.

Be 41 in January...started w/ Mattel Intellivision, used to love the old Odyssey system, never cared much for Atari.  Graduated to Sega 1, Playstation 1, XBox, then the 360.  Love FO3.  Its either that or the Call of Duty series that is my all-time favorite game.

I'm 21. Started with the original Nintendo with the original Gameboy. Then graduated to SEGA Genesis to Nintendo 64. Had a Dreamcast but that was years after it came out. Didn't get another big system till the PS2 about two or three years after it came out.
