THIEF Achievement

I had 7 stolen bases but I had my difficulty turned on custom halfway through the game. I turned it back to PRO and got two more stolen bases but it still didn't give it to me. I figured I needed one more but the game ended.

What exactly is MERCY mode? Can you have unlimited innings so you have time to get the THIEF achievement?

If you got this, tell how you got it the easiest way. It's the only one I have left.

91% overall achievement completion.

Nevermind I got this. I feel like an artard for not being able to do this earlier. Once you get the hang of baserunning it's a cakewalk. There's just 6039843098324 buttons to learn and you have to use it's really unique and kind of lame at first.

This marks 1000 on this game!

What's the trick to stealing bases then?

Re: THIEF Achievement

It's been a long time since I posted that but what I can remember is you have to look intently at the baserunner camera view in the corner and you have to press a button over and over to run fast. If you see you are going to get caught, turn around and run the other direction to land on base. If they are faster, keep going back and forth until they decide to chase after you, then make a dash for the free base.

Sorry it's been a long time and I forget what buttons they are but that's what I remember doing to get the ach.

Re: THIEF Achievement
No worries .. I figured out a much easier strategy for this.

Go to Manager and max out all the stats for the Yankees ... Play as the yankees against the Royals ... when you get someone on first ... As soon as the pitcher picks up his leg push Up on the left stick and X at the same time ... then tap the heck outta B to make him run faster ... you should get a stolen base 9 out of 10 times.

I got the cheevo on the first try ..

I only have Wall Climb and 3 HR's with one player left ..

Re: THIEF Achievement
You could max out stats for the Yankees, lower stats of another team to zero, then play as the Yankees and get a single.  Then when the next batter is up, press B to bring up the runner, then Left on the D-pad so the batter won't swing and risk getting out.  When the pitcher raises his leg, press R trigger then tap A like mad.
