Gullible isn't in the dictionary!

Seriously though, they were never free and will remain that way for the regular xbox...

Well, why shouldn't I be gullible about it? After all, the Halo 2 maps you had to pay for are now free...

I say that to anyone that "hears" something from somebody else on xbox live Wink [;)]

The Halo 2 maps were sponsered by Mountain Dew. That's why they are free right now...

Re: Were the PGR2 booster packs ever free?
sorry to hijack the thread, but my question is sort of related...
When i eventually get a 360... would i have to purchase the PGR2 tracks/cars again? (i already have paid for both).

I know i would be playing PGR3 although i figure i still would have a dabble on PGR2 to play with ppl on my friends list that still aint got the 360.

Cheers

Right now, PGR2 isn't backwards compatible.

But the word on the street is that they will be free if it does become backwards compatible. Cross your fingers on that one...

Re: Were the PGR2 booster packs ever free?

I had to buy a new Xbox and start over on PGR2. I don't mind that so much, and my Live rank is the same.

My question is: do I have to rebuy the booster packs, or are they free to re-download since I have already purchased them?

Yeah I had to pay again when I got my second original XBox. Shame they have no way of telling you already bought them Sad [:(]

Re: Were the PGR2 booster packs ever free?

Anytime a game has a sequel that is released, all downloadable content SHOULD be made free for the old versions, but then again gates didnt make 80 billion dollars by giving things away.  By the way, Halo 2 maps were made free because Halo2 made 125 MILLION DOLLARS ON THE FIRST DAY!  and mt. dew threw 'em a few bucks

I don't remember ever paying for mine. Or seeing the charge on the bank statement. But none of the cars are unlocked? Confused [*-)]

They do have a way of telling , because I have both booster packs, I purchased, under 2 different trial gamer tags, and when I called to cancell may trials, that made reference to the premium down loads that I purchased. I guess now that I have a New gamer tag, they would have no way to know..

Re: Were the PGR2 booster packs ever free?
I got an email from Microsoft about 1 of the booster packs being free for a limited time, but I deleted it and I've been trying to find out more about it which led me here. So yes, you could get 1 of them for free, but I don't remeber the deal. Anyone else know about it????
