I only started grabbing all the birds at chapter 6. Can I complete the game, then go back and do the previous chapters and still get the "found all birds" achievement or will I be required to start an entirely new game? :)

It seems like once you earn all of the Silver Bird Awards then you should automatically unlock the Golden Bird Award; however, there have been numerous reports of a 'bug' in the game that fails to calculate that you have actually found all of the birds.

I would highly suggest taking the safe route and starting an entirely new game. This way you should be able to complete each chapter, back to back, and find all the missing birds you may have passed. For a helpful guide to finding them, along with metal pieces, click here.

i just went back and did those chapters again when i completed the game, though i had to do cpter 1 twice before it came up. also it bugged out on my melee achievement :(

So did I eventually.. I had to play the game all the way through twice to get 50/50. :)
