Adventure story gold medal walkthrough videos
Just came across these videos made by DanielShawn over on youtube and thought that it might be adding a thread with links to them all:
There seem to be a few missing though I'm not sure why. If I find any more then I'll try and update the post.

Another useful (text) guide is by Drunky and can be found here:

Re: Adventure story gold medal walkthrough videos
Ok, last post I'll need to make hopefully. For anyone trying for the gold medal times, the methods described by Drunky in his guide (link in the second post) are more than sufficient for the story missions that there aren't videos for.

I also noticed that there is in fact another post in this forum with the videos already mentioned in so apologies for missing that. At least in this thread it's got all the links together I guess! Embarrassed [:$]

Re: Adventure story gold medal walkthrough videos
If the guide has more than enough info to get gold, then I'm not right in the head. ;)
I'm stuck on chapter 2 - I can get 8:36, but not 9:45 remaining.  I've played it many times in a row and have it down to the tightest second.  I'm assuming there's a vital difference from the linked walkthrough needed to get the shorter time.  Can you or anyone help me?
Thanks!

Re: Adventure story gold medal walkthrough videos

Firstly, make sure you are famliar with all of the General Tips (section 5 of Drunky's guide). In terms of saving time the 3rd, 5th and 6th points will probably be of most use to you. If you are simply following the walkthrough guide as is, just make sure that you always pause the game to find out what to do next rather than just letting it run - you could be losing some valuable time there.

Also, simply watching some of the above videos should help even though there isn't one for this mission at the moment. He does a good job of explaining what he's doing, e.g. turning power off to help save money or pre-selecting the facility that he will be placing down next.

Re: Adventure story gold medal walkthrough videos
I don't remember the exact details of what I did to achieve Gold Medal in Chapter 2 but this is what I recall:
  1. Built Chem Lab
  2. Built Solar Windmill --> turned it off when built
  3. Built Newspaper Stand --> turned on Solar Windmill before building
  4. Built Collector Prototype --> turned it off when built
  5. Built Hall Of Records --> turned on Collector Prototype before building
  6. Sold Chem Lab
  7. Built Radio
  8. Sold Newspaper Stand
  9. Built Observatory
  10. Sold Hall Of Records
  11. Built Spy Training Center
I can't remember if I had to adjust any of the energy settings but all the Science and Information expansion appeals were set to maximum (press the right-trigger) or just a notice under.  I completed it with 10mins. remaining or a little under it.  I hope this helps.
