Paper Boy FAQ

Hey guys whats up. I saw no one made a FAQ for this game so I thought I would. I really loved this game when it was out on the Game boy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

History

This game was made in 1984 by Atari games. There are a lot of different remakes for it and were on systems like the NES, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color, Atari St, and much more. Now you can get it on the Xbox 360. It was released February 14, 2007

Point of Game

The object of the game is to basically deliver papers and avoid obstacles. You must deliver papers to subscribers houses and try to vandalize houses that don't have a subscription to the newspaper for points. You can lose subscribers subscriptions if you don't deliver their paper or if you accidentally damage the subscribers house. However they can be recovered by a perfect day of delivery. The game takes place over 7 days and you have to try and get perfect deliveries across all 7 days. There are three difficulty levels. Easy Street, Middle Road, and Hard Way. You lose the game if you crash into objects or you cannot deliver all the papers to the right places. There are training courses at the end of each level also where you can hit targets with papers or ride over jumps to earn additional points.

Enemies or Obstacles

These are the enemies or obstacles that you have to try to avoid while playing Paperboy.

Bicycle tires- pretty easy to avoid. Just try to stay away from them.

Street Bikers- these guys are sometimes in the street when you cross a road to get to another section of houses or the training course. Just slow down to avoid them or speed up.

Skateboarders- these guys are pretty annoying. They will try to crash into you so try to swerve onto a lawn or back into the street.

Remote Controlled Car- sort of like the bicycle tires so they are pretty easy to avoid.

Construction Workers- these guys really won't come after you as they usually just are using a jackhammer in the street. Just pedal around them and you are clear.

Dogs- These animals are very annoying. They hide in the doghouses and then start chasing you. Be careful , you can speed up to lose them and are very tricky.

Man in a sewer- found rarely he sometimes pops up out of sewers and will crash you. To be on the safe side just stay away from the sewers if you can.

Dancer?- I don't know what this guy is doing but just avoid him. He spins on his head. Pretty funny.

Go-Kart Kid- This kid just tries to block your path. Just ride around him

Tornado- Disaster waiting to happen. Just try to avoid it as it is very annoying.

Grim Reaper- Evil. He isn't really that hard to get killed by actually. He will just try to block your path so just avoid him.

Random Objects- Things like cars, fences, bushes, fire hydrants, etc. Common sense applies here so don't hit them or you will crash.

Cost

This game costs 400 Microsoft points(5$)

Multiplayer

This game does include multiplayer and you can have Xbox Live co-op and versus matches. It has an offline mode too where you take turns playing with two controllers plugged in or turned on.

Overall Opinion

Many websites gave this game a score in the low 7s or high 6s but I would say it is a pretty good game. it is only 5 bucks and even though I don't have it I still have it as a gameboy color game and thought it was a lot of fun. So if you got 400 MS points to spare and you don't know what to do with them you could always buy this game. You can just demo it too if you are unsure.
