Ive just cancelled my shopto pre order as you have to sign for the UK mail packages but i contacted game and they said you don't have to sign for this particular game when parcelforce deliver it so i went with them instead. This is ideal because i will be out from 8-4 on tuesday.

Can't wait for the game.

If you actually took the time to research the situation, instead of wading in blindly, making yourself look like a complete tool, you would know that it has been confirmed by several forum users, and on various other forums (AV Forums, Shopto.net etc) that couriers ARE , in fact, holding the consignments of MW2 until it is time to deliver them for release day.

They'll hold onto them if they've been given instructions and, importantly, payment to do so. Activision have put an embargo on online retailers despatching the game early - there was a quote by shopto on a thread earlier today, but the thread's been locked - I'll have a look to see if I can find it

If this alters at any point we will post this. Rivals might be charging you early but thats so you cant jump ship and then cancel and as said above nowhere is allowed to ship and deliver early by Activision. Other companies are very good at charging you up to a week in advance and then not dispatching it for delivery until the day of release. We dont do this as we think it is unfair. We as a general rule allow you to cancel up until processing for dispatch at anytime. "
