The first time I tried to play multiplayer was a day or so ago, and thought it must be down. Same problem last night and I had the genius idea to post a question on the forum. Now I stumble upon this massive thread, and feel like a jackass for not looking here before I buy an arcade game. I don't realy feel that I should have to check on a forum before I buy a game to make sure everything it is supposed to have is included in the price.

I feel your pain there. You shouldn't have to check a forum just to see if a game is working. By the way, if anyone is interested, I wrote to Major Nelson about this and some other stuff and did hear from him......and the answer was pretty much as expected, that my 'comments had been passed along to the appropriate teams'. So basically, we got hosed, and life goes on at MS and Sierra/VU. 12 pages of shame now....

I select to sign in, it take 50 seconds to say it failed, If I say test connection it all works, if I say no then it freezes for 5 minutes then sometimes signs me straight in, sometimes doesn't work at all. I can't really even get into Xbox Live. If anyone is suffering with the same problems as that then say as well, it's not directly related, but it's Xbox Live failure anyway. All my settings are 100% what they should be, I think it may be because of the Spring update to Xbox Live changing how it was working. Please solve it MS!

You can fix the game in this time?  I think entire games have been written in this time.  You could have started from scratch and just rewritten the whole turd over again.  Either fix this piece of crap, or give me 800 points back in my Marketplace account.  And hire some competent programmers, or quit releasing games.

FINALLY!!!!!

After four months, 10+ calls, faxing console receipts and a whole lot of ***, I was given a refund!  I initally requested to have my 800 points for this game and another 1200 for the GRAW Chapter 2 Pack to be refund.  I guess M$ felt bad for taking so long to get this resolved that when I called today that the operator informed me that he had 3 refund codes for me.  I thought cool!  He read them to me, I verified them back and then hung up.  I was assuming that I was issued two 1000 point codes and perhaps another 100 point code for my troubles (big whoop, right).  I start entering them on my 360.  First two codes were only for 100 points each, so I'm like "WTF is this about"?!?  Get to the 3rd code and upon entering it, I was informed it was worth 4000 points!  That's a total of 4200 points.  So I guess them more then doubling what I requested is cool, but it took wayyyyy to long and too much legwork on my end.  Not only that,  This game is still not fixed.  Good luck to others in getting their money back in this issue.

I'd just like to compare the approach of the devs of Assault Heroes and those of MadTracks which many of you will know has a couple of problems.

The devs of MadTracks are regularly posting and interacting with the forumites and working to fix the problems, how does that contrast to the muppets who coded Assault Heroes.

And what's more the devs of MadTracks are welcoming suggestions for improvements to their game, what a world of difference.

Well, I am pretty much giving up here. We got hosed, and nobody cares. Not that that is surprising, but it is still not right. Lesson learned, I guess....

I tried to play this last night with a friend, we've played before in the past and I could not connect. We tried hosting a public match, private match, I host, he hosted and nothing. We always got stuck on the waiting screen.

I would like to have this problem fixed because when the game works it is really fun online!

I just purchased this game and it seems it is still broken. I was invited into a game and both of us locked up on the loading screen.

I think its pretty stupid when you call them up (Xbox Live CSR) on the phone with them, they try to say this is the first time they have seen this issue. Then they have you check a bunch of crap and then try to blame it on something else...Its just going to end up going in a loop over and over.

Add two more users to the pile. Myself and HAIGER DA both own the game and were trying to play together. When it didn't work when I tried hosting, I had him host. The first time I tried to connect to him, my 360 just plain locked up, and the second time we still got the same eternal "Waiting" message.

this is totally ridiculous.  i spent ages on the phone with them about a month ago.  they still haven't fixed it.  then i tried this morning to play sp.  there was a patch, but i couldn't download it.  i deleted the game, redownloaded, tried the patch again.  nothing worked.  just how broken can a game be?

Same here. I couldn't download the update. So, I went and deleted it, downloaded it, and still nothing!

Same problem here, tried downloading the update several times and it just wont download, able to download everything else except for this update.. I just started having this problem yesterday at least with the update, but in any case I never tried to play online.

Wow, a friend of mine picked this up and has had problems getting the update.  I was going to get it so we could go at some coop gaming, but since its broken, I'll be sure to avoid this like the plague.  GG!

Saw there was update from monitoring this thread.  Login into XBL and get the "Update is available for this game" message.  Download then fails each time.  Utter BS, as like others everything else can be downloaded w/o problem.  Glad I was finally given more then enough credit back on this turd!

An arcade game is not something I would usually spend money on.

Anyway, I spend my money on an awesome Arcade game and I suddenly can't be on XBOX LIVE whilst playing the game, how do I use the leaderboards now!?

Actual games on my xbox download automatic updates and they work fine, but this one doesn't. So count me in to

ok, i have this update download problem, only...

my xbox blew up a while back, so i have a new xbox, with the old hard disk.

so to play this game at all, i have to be signed into live (otherwise it reverts to the trial version - as with every other xbla game i have).

i can't sign into live while playing this game because of the update, so i can't play the full game at all...

 

so any updates on a fix for this would be appreaciated...

 

(also, given the hardware situation - is there any way i can make the xbla games work when i'm not signed into live?)

My understanding from talking to Xbox, and please correct me if i am wrong, Is that since you got a different unit back the console ID's do not match.  i was told to call back X-Box and they would issue point refunds for all Premium content and then you can repurchase them so that any content will be working as intended (With Live running or not).  i personally am waiting to get my xbox back so I am curious to see if what I was told correct and if I may be looking at future issues.

this game looked hype. but its just completely buggy. dont they test this crap? without the update live stays off... u cant use the leaderboards...and no coop.... wtf...?

Local 2 player is possible, you just have to deny the update.  Problem is, you're still signed out of Xbox live, which sucks. 

I can't believe i bought this yesterday and got screwed....  At least I had a friend over so we could play a bit, but I'm definitely going to make MS give me my 800 points back if there's no word on a fix soon.  Unbelievable...

dosent work for me either, and i bought the game a week ago =X
