Holy crap!  Pin-bot!  I totally forgot about that one.  I probably played that, Whirlwind, and Indiana Jones the most.  T2 was fun for the novelty of the gun-plunger.

Definitely a fun one.  I just played Pin*bot a lot more.

I thought of a couple more:

Black Knight

High Speed - complete with it's own soundtrack (ZZ Top's La Grange?)

I loved...

   - Theatre of Magic,
   - Road Trip,
   - Revenge From Mars,
   - Lord Of The Rings

Yeah they still make pinball machines.  They did die out for a while but i've noticed a bit of a comeback (In the UK at least)  Mainly in London.  The arcade on Googe street aleways has the latest in as do a lot of the 'play 2 win' places.  AFIK only STERN still make new machines but a company in Australlia is trying to start up.

My top 2 Favorites.

#1: High speed (1985 Williams Mfg. Co)

#2: Addams Family (1992 Bally Mfg. Co.)

There are lots of great tables but if I could own any 2, these would be the ones.

Re: Favourite pinball machines from yesteryear

Growing up there wasn't really any popular pinball tables, only the generic one.  I was wondering, since nobody commented on some tables I've noticed out there, could someone tell me if these tables are any good.

South Park

Jurassic Park

The simpsons (original vs Party)

Pirates of the caribbean

Indiana Jones

Are these tables any fun?

Re: Favourite pinball machines from yesteryear

The one I remember playing the most is Terminator 2 when I was in college.

I have some vague memories of playing some really old-school pinball machines with my dad when I was a little kid.  I remember some of them had mechanical scoreboards with the digits on rotating cylinders like an old cash register.  They had worn painted wooden playfields and the sound effects were limited to bells and buzzers.

Currently playing:
PC: Sacred Gold, Diablo, Diablo 2, Dungeon Seige
Xbox 360: Look at the icons

South park is a fantastic table!  Used to play that one all the time (one of the last few before Pinball started dieing).  Personally Iwasn't a fan of the original Simpsons table but Pirates of the Carribean is very good.

Right... i'm off to find a Southpark table!
