Self explanatory. Just stay away from the black 8 ball while doing the 8 Ball event. Sink all your balls without sinking the 8 ball. Achievement Unlocked.

The only thing hard about this achievement is the need for two controllers. If you have two controllers just find the 5 events that are shortest/easiest to complete.

8. Alien hunt - Find 5 golden aliens in 'Toy race' and finish the race. (20)
First things first, make sure you disable Auto Respawn in the Help & Options > Settings tab. Then go into Arcade Mode so you do not need to worry about other cars finishing the race. Start it by yourself.
Toy Race Aliens:
1. Right behind you at the start of the race. 2. Really big jump in the middle of the track, alien is on high track. Use a boost just before leaving track. 3. On the ground, to the right of alien #2 4. Somewhere on the ground. Drive around and you should find it no problem. 5. Right before entering the ventilation shaft near the end of the race, on the right.
Black Out Flags:
1. To left of starting point, in the bath tub. You can't miss it. 2. From the starting line, take your direct left and fall to the ground. Head left and you should see the flag, 3. From flag #2, head to the top right of the map. Flag is near or under a chair 4. On top of a chair that has a path leading up to it from the ground level. Take the path and grab the flag. (Pretty close to 3, Can't miss it.) 5. Go around the track until you are at the table area with the candles and the wine glasses. There are two power pickups, one on the right, and farther to the left. Go to the top left of this table, and drive off the table heading towards the wall. You should land on a blue ledge near the wall. Follow this wall and drive off in the same direction you've been heading. You should hit the ground level. From here turn to your right and you should see the flag,
Finish Toy Race 20 times without doing anything else. It does not matter what place you come in. Tedious more than anything else.
Biggest achievement in the game, not the hardest in my opinion. Here's what you should do:
1. First and foremost, be SURE you are in Arcade Mode and using the sports car. Impossible otherwise, so MAKE SURE!
2. Luck. Yes luck. You will need to pick up a decent amount of boost to even think about completing this. I'd say at least 4-5 per lap, and use them in key areas.
- First hill at start of the race, if you get boost from the first pickup, use it.
- Use a second one at the loop de loop, third on the left turn after the loop.
- Save number 4 for the big hill right before you hit the patch of ice. If you have enough left, use one right before the final jump in the track, the area by the candles. finally use one as soon as you land that jump.
If you aren't besting 40 seconds on your first lap just restart.
This MUST be done in Arcade mode. Add 5 AI racers to the race, set difficulty to hard, and have at her.

My xbox chrashes after 16 runs. It did so 2 times - now I'm really mad. Anyone else experiencing this?
Try quitting or restarting your Xbox.

That achievement wasn't hard at all, just use the light car instead of the sportscar and you will be fine.
Just wanted to post that you can use the Sports car to complete the Chain Racing achievement. It makes the races go by a little faster (and a little more enjoyable).

Not sure if this is what you mean, but I think if you hit the "left arrow" button (on the left of the guide button), you can restart a race...

Thanks bro! The aliens and flags where pissing me off and the game not worth the hasstle of being frustrated finding them.

I used the shortcut to jump towards the second checkpoint, and after a few lucky tries my fastest time is now 1:20. At this rate I'll need another four shortcuts to even get close to 1:15 ;)! I wonder what I'm missing...
On a side note: It's cool to see someone from the development team giving assistance!
The AI are so annyoing on hard doing the Hero achievement. They seem to be able to fire missiles and stuff at you at far greater distances than you can with them. I've made it to the 5th race a couple of times now, only to be blown off the track just before the finish line. Plus when I fire ice at them to turn them into ice cube they continue going at the same speed as me! Same with the power-up that alternates your controls. It doesn't affect them. Stupid AI! ! .

thanks....im hanging in there...i have gotten down to a 1:20.09.....ive found one short cut.....skipping the curve under the chairs, but i do better going striaght cause i always hit a chair...lol....but feel free to list the others
