How hard is it to put this in the game? I don't get it...
Does MS not know that people have friends, girlfriends, wives, etc.. Some of the fun factor for this game is to be able to play in 2-player alternate mode.

They STILL haven't put this in after all the complaints??! Then guess what Namco, I'm not buying it. Just like I haven't bought ANY of your Live releases because of this. Why don't you get a clue from Konami and Midway, hmm? Don't blame MS when this is clearly Namco's fault. BOYCOTT NAMCO!
Plurre wrote:I agree. With co-op, I would definitely download it. Now I won't. I own the SNES version of this game, and that have both co-op and a lot of more options than this. They should have released a new, better version of Pac-man with both online- and offline multiplayer and widescreen support instead. But even if they did, I bet it would cost 800 points.
Agreed.... and I would have gladly paid the 800 points for that, too. As for those you thinking they will add in a local 2 player mode, forget about it... they won't do it. All Namco's games have had this mode stripped out for XBLA. If you want local 2 player on XBLA, go with Midway and Konami. At least they have some common sense and actually lift a finger to try to actually IMPROVE the original game too, with enchanced graphics options. Namco are just a bunch of lazy jerks. Why should we give them our money anyway, when they made Soul Calibur III, their best series, PS2 exclusive? Until Namco starts showing us the love, they're not seeing my money.
"Seems like one of the requirements for XBLA's business model mandates two-player versus or two-player co-op functionality online, and if the publisher chooses not to implement online functionality, then they simply eliminate the option altogether; which is what Namco did."

That makes absolutely no sense if this is indeed true. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't "Jump in" Microsoft's slogan for the xbox 360? So who cares whether people join the xbox community offline or online? Or whether it's versus, co-op, or alternate? C'mon Microsoft stop being stupid. This just pisses me off. IMO by eliminating a two-player alternate mode offline you are actually discouraging people from jumping in.
So MS stop shooting yourself in the foot! First the silly 50meg limit for developers for xbla games and now this.

If this is true, there goes my hopes of ever seeing Pac-Man Vs on Xbox Live Arcade.
