I agree. DOOM 2 would be one of the greatest games that could come out to the Xbox Live Arcade.

It's great to have everyone's support here as I never thought this thread would go on as long as this. Doom 2 wouldn't be hard I don't think but maybe someone should make it as a community game. Of course not just like Doom 2 but similar.

Eh, I guess.  Doom 2's not nearly as good as Doom.  It's almost a chore to go through at times for me.  The only thing that would really get me to buy it is buying custom wads and better multiplayer.

As far as i'm concerned Doom II deserves to be on the arcade list a lot more than even Ultimate Doom. If they do this though, I hope this time they add Widescreen Support (and a patch for the first arcade game as well), then i'd be 100% satisfied :P

Only if they increase the field of view.  I'd rather have it pillarboxed like Doom is now than make everything look fat.

Why won't they release Doom2 on xbla? I've heard some rumors that it's because the huge amount of pentagrams and other satanistic stuff. I mean.. come on, i can buy Wolfenstein3D which is filled with swastikas, hitler portraits, etc. Just release it iD :(

I don't see why it's not on the marketplace since pretty much everyone (including me) really wants it. The only way I can play the original is on my Doom 3 disc but my DVD drive isn't working.

yes i want it too but wish they think some of the bugs on doom 1 multiplayer, hopefully if they got that right then maybe doom 2 multiplayer will work fine, the reason why i say doom1 first is cause its uses less than doom2 but doom1 multiplayer can get  be  a bit laggy for wierd reasons
