As for the points....it took me over 4 months and countless phone calls.  In the end the though I was given a total of 4200 MS points back, as compared to the 800 I spent on the game.  Good luck.

I've tried the fixes "Lucky 13 X" suggested in the link above, with no success at all.  I have no issues with other titles or with Xbox Live.  Assault Heroes is the only problem title for me.

The update is broken.  Time to "patch" the "patch."  Quickly!!

Countless minutes on the phone with MS for 2 days.  Trying everything.  The monkey finally asked me for my hotmail password so he can delete and reinstate my Gamer Tag and see if it's a problem with my tag.  I told him to F-off, not going to happen.  I explained numerous times about the hundreds of people with the same situation and it's time to step up.  He talked with a super-monkey and came back to be.  He explained to me they will not refund my points because they are (magically suddenly) aware of the problem and are working on a fix for the update.  I cannot believe anything monkey and super-monkey says anymore.  I guess thats what it turns you into after dealing with numerous people than need solutions like, "is the unit plugged in?"

Nice Sierra/Vivendi.  Release a game full of bugs, then when the consumer finds it, cop-out and say you don't support the game anymore. Good business.

P.S. The only silver lining, he didn't suggest it was a connection problem, like every "monkey" at MS.

So they should take it off the downloads list.  I hate to say that, because I love this game, but they are tricking people into buying a bugged game that they don't support.  If you are collecting money off of it, you should support it.  Or stop collecting money off of it.  Make it free.  God I just hope this update eventually works and fixes the bugs, that would lessen the crime.

How can they no longer support the game?  It hasn't even been out for a year?  That is a load of BS.

This sucks. I really want to play this game. You know what's worst? Because my first 360 broke (I downloaded it on my Elite) when they sent me another one I can only play the full version signed in. Because it won't update it signs me out and I can only play the trial version.

yeh i tested it out with my friend yesterday again the one i couldnt play with.. it worked :) too bad it was like a year later :(

Im not sure if the problem got fixed in the patch or not. But i have been on the phone with tech support for a good total of 2 hours today, and atleast 6 hours worth other days combined. All to run through the same old tech support acting like its my console with the trouble.

First no online, than patch is screwrd. even if its fixed now no one plays it anymore. i sure couldnt find a game.

ive been told it takes 5 days to escalate and now anotehr 5 days. im thinking of calling back and giving them a peice of my mind.

this is bullshit. people SHOULD NOT buy this game. its not worth the frustration.

Sierra has a bunch of new Live Arcade games they've just announced.  I recommend not buying any of them - at least until you've done your homework.

I got my 360 back.  re-signed up for Live Gold.  Re-Downloaded the Assault Heroes and it STILL DOES NOT WORK.  I can multiplay ANY OTHER GAME.  Just not this one.  Too Bad.  I was actually encouraged the patch woulda fixed it.  And too bad because of this i am not going to buy any more Sierra Arcade games till they get this out.  I just hope other people read this and join me.

It worked for me and a buddy.   Maybe try cleaning out the cache like lucky said earlier in the post.

The full instructions on how to perform the cache clear are:

Go to the system blade and then memory. Press Y on either the HDD or a MU and then press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X. Once you do this a blade will pop up saying: This will perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices. Do you want to continue? Select yes or no

This feature, claims MS, should only be used as part of official technical support. Using this feature will not damage your console but we can now confirm that any game updates you have will disappear and will have to be downloaded again.

I don't understand this game I can't find anyone to play a XBLA game with I tried to play a co-op game with my friend and it won't connect. And everytime I've started this game I have never being asked to installed an update to it so what gives.

Just picked AH  up yesterday and had problems joining with a frind until one of us made a game and the other one joined via quickmatch...as opposed to sending invites or joining via our friends list...which just loaded forever and sent us bak to the lobby. Figured we were the only 2 people doing co op since it found his game. Once we did that though, we went through the whole game no prob.

Finally tried the cache maintenance trick.  Deleted AH, and reloaded it and auto applied patch.  Still not working.  What a piece of trash!  All of my other games work!
