Introduction:
Gauntlet is an Xbox 360 Live Arcade Title originally released on the Arcade around November 2005. You play as either one of the four heroes .
Characters -
- Warrior - A typically aggressive Dwarf using small throwing axes as his weapon.
- Valkyrie - A blue fighter who uses small throwing swords as its weapon.
- Wizard - The yellow wizard uses magic balls as his weapon to defeat the enemy from range
- Elf - The small green uses arrows to fend off its enemies.
Players who have fully downloaded the game can play with up to 3 other players in a 4 player Co-operative mode to fight their way through the Arcade mode, which consists of different fantasy enemies which you have to defeat to progress through the Game.

Controls:
- Left Stick - This is used to move your character in the direction you want.
- Also If you hold A to fire and move the left stick. It will determine the direction of your fire.
- A - Fire. Uses the characters primary weapon to defeat enemies. Firing stops movement.
- B - Once you collected the potion. This is used to clear the screen of enemies.
- Y - On Single-Player Arcade Mode, this is used to boost your health . You gain 700 Health out of 100,000 every time you press Y.
- Start - Pauses the game

Interface:
On the right hand side is a board which has a few different things on -
- Under each Character is the score they have earned on the left under the character they’re playing as.
- Then on the right of that is their Health they have remaining, which decreases by one every second you stay alive.
- The Characters are listed from top to bottom. First is the Warrior, Valkyrie, Wizard and finally the Elf at the bottom.

Game Modes:
- Single-Player Arcade mode - You can play this on your own playing as one of the 4 Heroes available. Or you can play with 3 other people on one console, each playing as one of the characters. You can only do this providing you have the amount of Xbox 360 Controllers required.
- Xbox Live Mode - On this game mode you can Create a Public Game open for anybody to join, or you can keep your Games private, letting only Friends who have received Invites are able to join. Play with 2-4 players online to co-operatively play through the game.

Leaderboards
There is a leaderboard option in the main menu. You can choose different filters to compare your scores with others. You can check the Overall High-Scorers in the whole world. Or just narrow it down to your friends.

1. Warrior Master
Get 1st place on in game score board with the Warrior using default settings.

Get 1st place on in game score board with the Valkyrie using default settings.

3. Wizard Master
Get 1st place on in game score board with the Wizard using default settings.
5 points
4. Elf Master
Get 1st place on in game score board with the Elf using default settings.

5. Max CO-OP
Play Xbox Live with 4 players.
10 points
6. Anti-Thief
Successfully kill a thief.
10 points
7. Bling
Collect 10 treasure chests on Xbox Live using default settings.
15 points
8. CO-OP
Finish level 10 on Xbox Live with another player using default settings.
15 points
9. Treasure
During a treasure level, successfully collect 11 treasures and exit.
15 points
10. High Score
Acquire an Xbox Live CO-OP score of 100,000 using default settings.

11. CO-OP Master
Finish level 20 on Xbox Live with another player using default settings.

How do I buy the full Game of Gauntlet?
Go to either the Games Blade, then select Xbox Live Arcade. If you have played the trial then It will give you an option in game to purchase it.
How much does it Cost?
It costs 400Microsoft Points. Which is approximately £3.00 or $4.00.

Is there any downloadable content for this game?
No, None available at the moment.
How do I change character in the Single-Player Arcade Mode?
On the few second tutorial at the very start. Either Press the following buttons for each character -
- Hit the B button for the Warrior
- Hit the X button for Valkyrie
- Hit the Y button for the Wizard
- Hit the A button for the Elf, but this character is already automatically set as the default character.
Is there a way of making this game easier?
On the main menu, select the Help & Options part and then settings. You can select the difficulty and other things in there which makes game play easier or harder.
If I change the settings, can I still unlock achievements?
No, to unlock all achievements you MUST use Default settings. You can reset the settings to Default by pressing the X Button on that page.

Does this game have easy achievements to unlock?
Relatively speaking, Yes. Once you know what to do for each achievement it isn’t too hard.
How can I check how well I’ve done in comparison to others?
Select the Leaderboard Option and refine your search as you wish.
Can I play with a friend offline?
Yes choose the Arcade mode and press the appropriate button for the character you want on the second controller.
Any Co-Op Play?
Yes, both Offline and Online via Xbox Live.
I’m having trouble unlocking the Master Achievements, can you help?

The screen is too Small/Big
When in-game select options and you can make the screen bigger and small by using the left-Stick.
I prefer the old-school non-enhanced Graphics, how do I change them?
Use the same method as above, you can select the graphic type in the settings menu, In-Game.
