I had so much fun playing thru all the episodes in DooM again!! its aged very well and is still fun to play and has more levels then most FPS these days,awesome LvL design also

i think they need to fix doom 1 before moving onto doom 2 cause doom 1 can lag alot when playin multiplayer which is annoying so god help me if they try making doom 2 aka final doom on the xbox without tons of bugs

in short if they can fix doom 1 then go for doom 2 but if not fix doom 1 first cause there basically kinda using the same engine so something needs sorting

im on episode II right now, and im enjoying the hell outta it

lol, i was thinking that when i complete ultimate doom but as far as i know they've just changed the ratings system for it, that was a while bk, people assumed it was coming soon but never came unless they've got a trick up there sleeve, maybe when doom 4 comes out we might get a collecters edition with all 4 games with achievements i hope

About time!!  I was waiting for around 3 years for Doom 2 to come out, and it finally got announced!!

Well, good thing I already have it on Steam, with zdoom port.  I've already beaten it plenty of times on UV (I'm currently trying to play it on Nightmare, on map 15), so I should be ready to crush the leaderboards when it comes out.

its ashame ID isnt porting this themselves cause the people making the port are the ones that messed up Doom 1 port but hopefully they don't make it as laggy cause Doom 1 multiplayer is well empty most of time due to this reason, Doom 1 was brilliant for multiplayer so it was a shame not be able to work correctly

I thought Nerve did a great job with the port.  They're also making a new episode.  I'm excited.

to be fair they did a gd with single player but try running in doom 1, u'll know why it terrible ported for multiplayer, anyway great port but hopefully port the multiplayer correctly or im going to lose respect for nerve since there messing with a legend.lol

The port of DOOM for the XBLA is actually one of the best official ones to date. High res HD, tight controls, simplistic set-up. I don't think the lag is entirely their fault, it's something that seemingly couldnt be helped. Oh and I think DOOM is set for November, whatever 'the holidays' means.

im not sure if its my fault since every person ive talked to had the same problem but a game that doesnt take munch memory, can work fine on psp, ds, be streamed to play multplayer wireless in my opinion would or should have worked perfectly on xbla but for people who were very gd at the pc version i felt handycapped when playing against others

The multiplayer is the same as the one in the PC version.  They used the same netcode.

unless your a coder whos seen the code or programmed then im sure thats hard to believe since the coding for the original doom was using modem, while doom is now using wireless instead so in short its completly different, anyway yes the gameplay is the same but the multiplayer conversation is buggy so try playing more than 3+ hours and you'll kind of see what i mean, yes some may then don't play it or take breaks, etc... but to be blunt who the heck usually takes breaks when they are having fun.lol
