Good luck man! I am in the same boat right now. I'm hoping I get bumped up to the marketing team. It's a great job, great hours, great benefits, and the pay is not shabby at all. I will have my fingers crossed for both of us!

Edit: On another note, today is my little monster's birthday! Her party was last night and it was great. She wanted to feed me her cake and I hate cake. Hahaha. I think Seras will have pictures up sometime soon. She got this little stuffed animal name "Scout." He can be programmed on the computer to say her name and all of that jazz which is cool. Unfortunately, "Cybil" is not in its vocabulary so it just calls her "little monkey," which she loves. Oh yeah... and I HATE wonder pets. I want to strangle her grandparents for getting her that stupid DVD.

Join the club. Fortunately my youngest liked it at first but quickly grew out of it. Now, the most kiddie show he watches is Backyardigans, somewhat tolerable.

Definitely! I don't mind that show so much but the songs get stuck in my head far too easily. I'm just glad she would rather watch Batman: The Brave and the Bold over the REALLY kiddie shows.

Lucky for me, my daughter starts eating dinner when this show comes on.  And at that time I switch to something educational for the both of us like National Geographic or History Channel.  Or she watches me shooting people on either 360 or PS3.  Which thankfully, my wife doesn't mind her watching it.  The one show on Nick that has grown on me is Yo Gabba Gabba(sp???).  I look at it now as her learning music, but some of the things they teach I don't agree with.  Since they are so vague.  For example, don't throw snowballs at your friends.  That is all good and well, but don't put stuff in said snowball and throw should be the message.  I told my parents about this and my dad told me a story how his oldest brother pick up a bunch of snow off a trash can once.  And the trash cans had bricks on them for some reason and threw that at him.  He didn't get hurt but you see where I am going with this.  The producer of these shows on Nick, Jr need to revisit the messages they send out.  Throwing snowballs is part of growning up for most of this country that gets snow.

Well, back to work, and then off to Gamestop to get my final receipt for MW2.  Then back again around midnight to get the game.

I can't help but get the impression here that some forget G.R.A.W/ Vegas is not the series but Ghost Recon/Rainbow Six is.

I envy you guys that are getting MW2. I told my wife that I wanted Assassin's Creed 2 more, which I kind of do. Maybe she will surprise me with both later this month, for my birthday. I don't think I could love that woman any more than I already do but that would definitely tip the scales.Stick out tongue [:P]

Soon enough she'll be out of the Wonderpets, Little Einsteins, Imagination Movers, etc. and into the hilarious shows like Phineas and Ferb that take out the wonderful lessons on sharing and learning and replace them with all out hilarity!

Ferb is my favorite.  That is one of the better shows, along with Spongebob.  My two tear old loves Yo Gabba Gabba, and I am convinced that you need to be under the influence for that show to be good.  "My Name Is Brad, I like to DANCE!!!!"

For those who are not among the mass of humanity who are getting MW2...let me say you are not alone.  And it is okay, you'll be fine.  This guy does fine without being like everyone else and is a shining beacon for all.

If you have seen more than 1 win from your pro team in the past 25 games (going back to 2007) then you are better off than I am.
That is one of my all-time favorite commericals, Nien.
I'll be a part of the masses playing MW2 shortly!

I'm obviously not getting MW2 but I am getting something. I'm torn between Forza 3 and Dragon Age: Origins. Any suggestions?

I suggest Dragon Age, but that is only because I don't like racing games.  As one of the Chix wrote, Dragon Age is like video game crack because you just can't stop.  I keep wanting to do just one more thing that then became one more thing.  It took a little getting used to since I haven't played a game where I had to preset the actions of a character before fighting people.  I got a little guidance and things went much better last night.

MW2 is in the house, but I don't plan on playing it.

I'll be one of the few not getting MW2--not that I hate it or anything, just taking a break from shooters at the moment. I got super obsessed with all the Call of Duties and played them hours and hours on end. I hardly got anything else done Smile [:)] I felt like my responsabilities and family were suffering.

Dougie and Diver, I am with you guys in the Dragon Age saga.. I find myself staying up a little later than normal playing.. this weekend I just wanted to create a new character, play for just a few minutes so that I can understand all the spells, etc... I ended up sitting on the silver account for 8 hours or more... Last night I played until I found myself literally falling asleep in the chair... This game is massive and I figure it will be double the time I played in Mass Effect... I pre-ordered MW2 , and am totally blowing it off.. didn't even go to the mid-night release.. I may just cancel it ... and poor borderlands..will just sit and collect dust .. sigh....

Very jaded here as a Bioware RPG will trump almost any game for me, so Dragon Age!  I've heard complaints about the graphics, but I think they are amazing.  The combat takes a bit to adjust to, especially setting up AI tactics.  It is very manageble once you get familiar with it.  Part of my problem is I prefer to micromanage (goes back to Baldur's Gate on the PC).  Here you can establish predetermined actions of your party and let them go. You always have the option to jump over to them and take control.

I'll be picking up MW2 on the way home tonight and will give the campaign a playthrough just to see the story - the commercials really peaked my interest on this one.

Diver and Dougie, Madame .. I need some tips on my mage... she almost always dies in battle.. I can't get the settings just right for my party members...Her build is obviously awful.. I am at the battle, to light the torch (it's my 2nd playthrough , but 1st with my mage.. 1st playthrough was with a tank.. and I had no probs with him) I need my tanks to tank as it always seems the baddies always come for me.  And I don't understand the traps... There is so much, and I am beginning to think this is a steep learning curve here... I almost always choose a tank in the beginning of my rpg's just to play-through.. but I want some challenge... lol... And I still can't figure out how to use the first aid kit on my party members.. I can heal them when it's in my pre-set blade, but how do I literally use the potions on them? Is it where I have to use the rb and switch character to heal them from the inventory? That takes too darn long.. As a mage, I want to heal all my players at once... what are your character builds??

Cel - I am a Detroit Lions fan.

My take on MW2 so far?  More of the same.  It's a lot of fun, and I'm sure the MP will be really addicitve, but don't expect this one game to change the world forever.
The scene in question was COMPLETELY unnecessary in my opinion.  I played through it (never exposed myself to it online) and felt terrible afterward.  There was just no reason other than to say "Grand Theft Auto isn't the only game where you can blow away screaming innocent people!" except this is way more realistic.  I point my frowny face in your direction, IW.

OK, a fellow chick explained this best so let me quote her:

 iCeTKiTtY wrote:
You need to set up tactics... Press the Back button to open up your management menu... Flip over to the Character Record tab and press Y to open up the Tactics menu... From there, you can choose the behavior of the selected character, yes, even your own for when you switch over and use another member of the party, your main character won't just stand there and not do anything, which is the Default... And in turn, is why you say they are stupid and die... Anyway, behavior... There's Default, Passive, Aggressive, Ranged, Cautious and Defensive. Press X to view the details of each behavior to help you figure out what you want.

Then there's Presets, which are preset tactics like Scrapper, Defender or Archer... You may modify these tactics but there's also Custom... Which is what I use most... Since it starts you off from scratch... Note: There is only one Custom set, so if you modify one of the presets, it will overwrite as it is recognized as being the Custom set... So for instance, you want your character to use a health poultice at a certain point... You may do so by clicking on a condition slot... (the boxes that say: [1][+], etc...) Click on Self, then from there select whether to use it when your Health is at <50% and so on... Once you're done with that, slide over to the right where it says (Action) and click on that... Select Use health poultice: least powerful, since if the potion used isn't strong enough, the condition will activate again and use another one... So, you save your stronger potions from being used up too early...

As for the wheel, I don't use it since I assign things via the management menu, which gives me more details but you can toggle the Radial Menu to Toggle open/closed so that you need only tap the LT to open and close it instead of holding the LT down the whole time... Which is found in the options menu by pressing Start...

Now, you may gain extra condition slots via using a point in your Skills tab towards Combat Tactics... So, all in all, you may have up to 6 slots... Hope this helps...

The bold part I did for all the characters and it helped so much.  I didn't know how to use that function until yesterday.  Now they all seem to kick butt and heal them selves appropriately.  Now I haven't played very far as a Mage.  I'm guessing staying back and setting your party to be more aggressive would help.  Set them to either attack the closest seen enemy or to attack the enemy attacking you.
