Bathhouse. Please help!
I am at the part where you have to difuse all the bombs. Well, I can only difuse one cause when I try and difuse the second one, the men with the red beam emitting goggles find me and blow me away. I have seen a video on youtube where you stick various sticky cams everywhere. I tried that but it wouldn't work. What in the world do I do? I haven't knocked out one person. I don't want to start knocking out people now.

There are many methods, but a lot of them require kills/ko's.  DanielHac has videos on his website HERE that work perfectly for me, the trick is timing things just right.  I also wrote a text version of his 'furnace room' video in my spoiler filled walkthrough HERE that explains what's going on.

To access Daniel's videos you have to 'sign in', which is just a kind of guestbook thing.  I just used my gamertag to get there.  Best thing is that you can download them and watch as you play if you want.

I have watched his video and read your walkthrough. They still spot my cameras and shoot them. After I difuse the second bomb, there is a soldier walking down the aisle where I need to come up. Sorry, but this level is a waste of my time and I give up. I can't do it. I have tried for months to try to beat this level. I am even on the Normal difficulty. Hah what do you think of that? That is so stupid that I can't get past this one part cause the soldiers keep shooting out my cameras.

C'mon, don't give up.  What usually causes them to 'see' the sticky cam is if you hit it more than once, just tap it only one time.  Also be sure to place it high enough so they can't just walk past and see them.

As an alternative you can use my other method in the walkthrough where you defuse the first bomb, get behind the first guard and KO him, then defuse 2nd bomb and either sticky shock the next three or climb the pipe as soon as the 2nd one passes over you - rush to get behind the 3rd one - peek around the corner and sticky shock the 2nd one - rush over and dump 2nd one's body just below the last bomb, jump over and defuse 3rd bomb - aim at door and sticky shock the last one as the door opens.  There are many variations to this method...

I tried putting the cameras on the ceiling, I tried putting the cameras as high as it could go on the wall, I tried placing them in well light areas, I tried placing them in super dark areas. Nothing works. I think I will just skip this one and go to the last level of the game.

Re: Bathhouse. Please help!

well, the sticky cam way is one of th hardest because it leaves the guys alive/concious. First time I've played the game I put a mine in the entranse to the room before defusing the first bomb, then I did the same before the second one. For the third guy I just used sniper attachment.  Make sure you choose the "assault" equipment with mines and sniper.

Why did the one guy mention that some methods require killing... as if you're not supposed to?  I don't remember if you're not supposed to kill folks at the beginning of that level or not, but I know that by that point of the level you are allowed to kill.

I did it pretty easily actually, but it was on "normal" difficulty my first run-through the game.

I realize that the original post here is two years old by now, but since the DannieHac links don't work anymore (at least they didnt when i tried them just now) and someone else could be, like me, just getting into "Chaos Theory" for the first time... here's my strategy:

Make sure you have played the level a few times and are familiar with the locations of and correct paths to each bomb, so that you waste zero time fumbling around looking for them.  I run in, break the lock, and defuse the first bomb.  The first guard is in different spots depending on how long it takes you to get to/from the first bomb.  The way I did it you can see his shadow as you're finishing up the bomb and when you come back towards the stairs you're behind him.  I use the shotgun attachment on those guys in general, a well-placed blast kills them in one shot.  I don't know if there is a stairway leading to the second bomb or not, but don't waste time with it if there is... jump over the railing right above it to get there faster.  After defusing the second bomb you can climb up onto the ledge above you and two more of those guards will be making their way around beneath you from your left to your right.  You have to be careful cause they can see you fairly easily if you're not cautious, but using the sticky shocker on them guarantees that you take them both down with one shot each.  As the first one is hidden from view in front of you, take out the second guard with a sticky shocker to the back and then hit the first as he emerges to your right.  I don't remember any guards between there and the next bomb, but another guard does come in the door Shetland left through very soon after defusing the third bomb.  Another sticky shocker or shotgun blast and you're out of the room, if I remember right.

Oh, ok... I see now that the original poster said he "hadn't knocked anyone out and didn't wanna start now."  Well, I don't know this for sure, but unless there's a series of pipes to crawl on or something (i didn't look, maybe there is), I kinda doubt you're gonna get out of this situation without knocking out or killing those guards.

LOL at 'necroposting'. This topic was from 2007.

You absolutely can get through this area without knocking them out OR killing them.  Check out the links in the second post in this thread.  It takes a lot of patience, trial and error, skill and just plain luck to do it without KO's (see the DanielHac video link in the second post for proof).

I can duplicate the sticky-cam method, but too often I don't get the camera placement/timing just right. I usually go for the super-stealthy run-n-grab then 'stealth KO' and hide body method (see my walkthrough link in the second post for a description) which gets you the elusive 100% with all zeroes (0) in your stats.

Obtaining that goal is a Splinter Cell addicts mandate and we just plain can't play these games without achieving it.  If you're not a true addict of the stealth genre, then knockouts, kills and perfect mission stats mean nothing so play it the way you enjoy - that's the point, right?

I've only been playing them for a month... I was wondering why I got such bad scores on Chaos Theory missions haha (all except the last mission, I had 94% on that one for some reason)!  I like to try and take-out and successfully hide every enemy, complete all objectives, and remain undetected with no alarms and such... so I guess I'm some sort of hybrid-type-player, haha, cause im definitely addicted to these games like the rest of ya are i'm sure.  I didn't realize til about an hour after my post (when I started playing Double Agent) that they actually TAKE AWAY points for killing and knocking people out.
