actually, whoring is just like proving, in a sense...whoring is easy to do, but hard to be great at.

same with proving, its easy to do, but hard to do great.

 

and if he wasnt lying, then why dont you show me this 1billion point line at the mall he bragged to me about so much.....

its funny, cause everytime i achieve something im proud of...thedarkmooncraz always has to shoot me down with...."oh, well my frend got____"

for example, i land 777mill in beverlly hills and im excited cause i finally land an awesome combo there. then darkmooncraz will be like well me and my friend got 2 bill there...

same with guitar hero 2, i just got 500k achievement.....thedrarkmooncraz-"your lucky but, my friend got 601k before"

happens EVERY time, no matter what game.

I just meant he wasnt lying about the stuff he told ME. I dont know any thing about 1 bill in the mall and i dont have guitar hero so idk about 601k.

and your right proving is hard to get great at and so is whoring its just (and dont tell me this isnt true) proving is a lot harder than whoring and a lot more more exiting to boot.  i can get like 300 mill whoring but only like 30 mill proving. proving also makes use of all the games flaws like bouncebacks and  neuroplanting also certian tricks like wallshuffling and sama planting. you just dont use things like that in whoring.

im not saying your not good because you do whoring instead of proving im saying im SICK of whoring because its so boring!! and i absolutely Hate it when people like Madxl cant appreicate a good improv and have to talk trash.

can i get a reason why proving is harder than whoring?

im not saying whoring is harder or easier, i think theyre both equal and are two different types of skill. im just wondering what your resoning is =P

i think proving is harder than whoring because your mind isnt preset on where you are going and what your going to trick on. you have to deal with what you have around you even if its the crapiest pieces to skate. in whoring you repeat the same line many times and sometimes you switch to another line and youve got every thing planned out. you know exactally what your going to do before you do it.

and actually newbie i think you could be a really good improver if you ever decided to quit whoring. not that im trying to get you to quit whoring.

PS: no ones actually 1 billed the mall but some one has 900 milled it and I dont lie.

900 mill basically is a billion =/

 

but see its true, whoring you dont have to worry about where your skater is, or have good control of your guy unless you mess up the line and have try to get back on. but thats not what whoring is about. whoring is about your balance meters not what route you take n your combo...where in proving balance meters are something you dont really have to worry about.

you have to worry about your balance meters what are you talking about balancing is still very important in improving just as much as whoring but at the same time you have to worry whereyour guy is going. thats what makes it harder in my opinion.

not as important as when your whoring. just like like in whoring you kinda have to pay attention to where your going, but not as much as proving....

um NO WAY man. when your proving, trying to do those complicated manuavers (which is the basically the whole point of proving) really takes a toll on your balance. in whoring you use the best possible line with the best possible conditions and try to get the highest score you possibly can.

Not to butt in or anything, but...

Whoring and Proving are two completely different skills, and I guess it just depends on how you think act, and remember. As Newbie said, you really do have to watch your balance meters in whoring, mainly because you will probably be going a lot longer. But DemonBird has a point as well, because you aren't in a whole lot of planned out big airs, you will probably be grinding and manualing a lot more, and not everything has a way to save your balance or give you a lot of air.

Whoring is planned out, like DemonBird said, but sometimes you will mess up, and then you need to find a way to get back to the combo line without losing any revert, balance, or combos. Sometimes this can be easy, but sometimes it spawns a whole other set of mistakes. Improv skill could come in handy there.

Improv would take quick thinking, timing, and a good visual idea of the map you are skating, getting to places where you can get some air, while not losing too much balance or revert. But, there are people out there who judge by score, not skill, and you may not be as well known as the big scorers.

I'm not taking any sides, just saying what's on my mind.

btw- im not on any side, i dont think whoring is harder...i think they're equally difficult.

like ive said before to many people, they are two different skills. a noob could do a combo line, or prov....but each one takes alot of practice to get really good at.

 

whoring= long combo, less style

proving= short combo, more style

But see proving is harder thats why its not meant to give you high scores like whoring( i mean come on newbie try to get a billion proving -_-). i guess all i really trying to say is i just dont like the way every one judges you on your highest combo and not your skill.

yeah its harder to get high scores when proving, but then proving isnt about your score....

getting a high combo does take skill, a different kind of skill compared to proving.

i know proving isnt about your score im just trying to say i dont like the way every one on 360 is centered around scores and not true skill. i mean i can do some things many poeple cant do but they can still get a higher score than me and to them thats all that matters. i mean look at madxl. . .he trahsed on nekros improv just cause it was only 107 mill! did he even notice the dd45 nekro did or the wall shuffling? no. does he know how hard any of that stuff is? i dont think so. i guess all i really want is to be recognised for my skill and not my score. . .IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK!?!?
