Hopefully the developers will acknowledge this and take action...

There are various glitches that I and many people have experienced regarding some of the achievements in this game and we would like them fixed as soon as possible. First of all, the achievement "Gunfighter" says to win a ranked duel with each ship type but there are two problems with this. One is that my friends who have this achievement told me they had to win at least two or even three ranked duels with EACH ship, which is clearly not the achievement description. However, a further problem comes with some people, like myself who have unlocked the Navigator achievement but did not receive the Cavalier ship. Now, other people did get the ship when the Navigator achievement unlocked. However, this is a problem because a handful of people are missing a ship to get the Gunfighter achievement. Also, we as the community have not found out an alternate method to unlocking that ship so if there is one, please either inform us or patch the game. I know that many people are experiencing these issues and if anyone else found other glitches or problems please post them here so the developers can fix it and ensure a better playing environment for everyone.

May I also suggest that people start bugging EA technical support about this, I tried yesterday but got the standard this is a gameplay issue check community websites even though it was obvious from my question that I had, but I was thinking if enough people bug them then they may at least bring it to the attention of the developers. I am following up my query as I speak

I'll sign. I bought this game at like 2AM and just messed around with it, flying around the multiplayer maps by myself as nobody plays anymore and I accidently unlocked the Navigator achievement, while flying a Kilrathi ship. No Cavalier, of course.

However, just look at Godfather ditched at 830 total gs, LOTR ditched at 735gs. EA never patches or finishes anything, even when it plans to. I think we're all screwed forever. :(

Yeah I need the Cavalier, surely someone has to have figured out how to unlock it!

What is it that determines whether or not you get the ship when you get the Nevigator achievement? Under what conditions do you have to be playing? What team, game type etc.

Now, I haven't figured out a way and I have absolutely no idea what happened, but after I ran into this glitch I ignored the game for months and then I was invited to play some matches and get some achievements with someone. I figured I should at least get the ones I could and ignore the Gunfighter one since I couldn't get it anyway.

Lo and behold, when I booted the game after all this time, the Cavalier had magically appeared in my ship roster when it was never there before. I have no idea what happened there. Was there a patch? I know it doesn't help, but uh, maybe people who were also missing the ship should boot the game up and check.

If there wasn't a patch, there has to be some other way of unlocking it and that's how it appeared... I did Hot Dog, Ace, Untouchable, Hibernation and Deathstroke (achievements) around this same time. Maybe one of those unlocked the Cavalier.

I'll check it out, unfortunately for me I already have all the achievements except for 16 player game and gunfighter, I'm hoping that if I (ever) get the 16 player achievement, the game will be nice to me and unlock it.  I will definitely load the game up and check it out though, thanks for the info.

I got the 16 player Capital Ship achievement and played some other random game modes for a while, still no Cavalier.  I feel that the only thing I can hope for is a patch!
