Can we PLEASE get something done about the DMR issue!

So, I get my system back from repairs (3rd system) and they sent me a replacement, not a fixed unit.  Now NONE of my downloaded content will work offline and to make matters worse, the SEGA games tell you they are trial games even if connected to Live and you have to redownload them EVERY time you want to play.

When is MS going to do anything about this?

I feel like a Beta tester for the XBox and they are NOT fixing the problems it has.  I have over $400 in downloaded materials, NONE of which can be used offline and now NONE of it can be used by any profile other than my own.  This is complete garbage.

totally agree, this is completely unnaceptable.Considering how often these machines die, you'd think they would of thought about this.

Now not only do i have to UNLOCK the full game everytime i wanna play sonic + golden axe whilst connected to live,i just noticed that MS prevent me from watching some of my videos that i've downloaded when i'm not online.WTF!!??

I'm paying X amount a year for this service, yet it feels like i'm not getting the full deal.

I swear if i see sonic/golden axe saying 'unlock the full game' one more time even though i PAID for it a while back now..something/someone's gonna get broken!!

I have the same problems of course with Sonic and Golden Axe.... similar bugs exist in Carcassonne expansion packs, Crystal Quest expansion packs, and the Puzzle Quest game itself.  MSFT clearly does not TEST or have documentation in place to assist developers in avoiding these stupid DRM bugs with content WE PAID FOR.  Wake up, Microsoft, your poorly designed DRM scheme assumed your consoles would last forever and never break!  Well, guess what?

Re: Can we PLEASE get something done about the DMR issue!
Here is my deal:

I had an Xbox Elite crap out on me. (RROD) oh well... it is the 2nd one that has gone out on me, but it happens.
I sent it in and waited 7 weeks for a new one to arrive.
I plugged in my hard drive and played some games.. finding that 2 of 45 of my PURCHASED arcade games (Sonic & Golden Axe) could not be played.

It keeps telling me they are trial games, even though I have paid and re-downloaded several times to try and get them to work.

I have recovered my gamertag and done all the troubleshooting I am supposed to do.

I called Microsoft March 14th and spoke to 2 guys and finally asked for a supervisor because they could not grasp my problem. The Supervisor explains its a DRM issue and that the Sega games are linked to a specific console AND gamertag, and because this is a new console it was not working.

It is a KNOWN issue with the Sega games and replacement consoles...
But none of their reps know about it??

Anyways, it sounds like we are on track now..

He tells me he will forward my info to the right dept and they can link the game to my new console they sent from repair. Should take no more than 30 days. If there is any problem, they would just refund my Microsoft points.

Cool, its figured out.

So I sit and wait patiently for 30 days, nothing... 45 days, nothing.
I called at 45 days and the agent says it is in the right dept. and it should be "any day" I hang up and keep waiting.

Here I am 63 days later... STILL NOTHING.

I call today and tell my story to another agent, he tells me to just ask the Supervisor for the quickest solution and ask for the points back.

After 25 freaking minutes I get to another Supervisor he says he can do nothing. It shows on his end that the correct dept. has it and I have to wait.

How long? I ask..

"Should take no more than 30 days"

Ummm... did you not read my issue?

"There is nothing I can do sir, the correct dept is handling it"
"I don't have authorization to rush things any faster"

They will not give me any concrete date as to when I will get to play the games that I PAID FOR MONTHS AGO, they will not refund my Micro$oft points.. The Supervisor today tells me that they do not refund points and that the last Supervisor and the agent I had just spoken to were mistaken.

So I asked him "Not that I am doubting you.. I just have to speculate. How do I know that YOU are not mistaken because I had another Supervisor tell me they would and the agent that transferred me to you told me to ask for the refund"

He tells me I can hang up and call back and ask for another Supervisor and that they will tell me the same thing.

I JUST HAVE TO WAIT.

Could be 30 days... could be 3 years.
Nobody knows.

I have to say that their call center Supervisors are pretty much worthless in regards to resoving customer issues...
The guy gave me no useful information. He did absolutely nothing to satisfy me..
THE PAYING CUSTOMER.

THE GUY WHO HAS PURCHASED THREE XBOX 360's AND PURCHASED 45 GAMES AND COUNTLESS VIDEOS OFF XBL MARKETPLACE.

The Supervisor told me I don't need to call back and that it will get fixed, but he has no idea when and that if he told me anything it would be a guess.

3 calls so far... OVER 1.5 hours of my life gone over 800 points.
The whole thing is ridiculous.. its just the point now.
I could care less about the money.

A simple "it will be fixed by this date or you will have a refund" is all I want... is it really too much to ask?

I don't even know what to do at this point.
It cannot be that hard to switch my console serial numbers in the system.

Its not like I am asking Dairy Queen to fix my problem...
I would understand if they did not know and it took this long to resolve.
This is Microsoft, the people who have been building computers for YEARS.

Yet another reason I own a Mac I guess..
Cheap Cologne is my gamertag in case anyone at Microsoft is reading this and cares to look into the matter.
Help me Obi-Wan... you're my only hope.

63 days and counting...

Re: Can we PLEASE get something done about the DMR issue!

I have been waiting since MARCH 14th.
77 days... 5 calls to Micrsoft, 3 escalations to "supervisors" that can help,  and 3 hours on the phone,..
I am still NOT fixed.

I filed a complaint today with BBB.

I don't know what else to do..

Refund my points already of you cannot fix the problem.

Ridiculous..

 As The Sun Dies wrote:
If you want to play the SEGA games there is a simple solution that i cannot understand why others havn't figured it out. When it says trial on the main menu just select download full game, then select full game from the guide tab and select download again. A few seconds will pass and it the message will pop up saying 'Sonic full game downloaded' and the trial thing will disappear from the menu. Easy.

Works with all SEGA titles.

Cologne - I had the same problem as you and finally got someone from accounts to credit the MS points to my wife's account.  Problem occured with my replacement 360 around Feb and just got the point last week.  I pasted in the above posting from "As The Sun Dies".  It works with some people, but not all - hope it works for you.  If not the DRM issue seems to be getting a fix in the next update.

yea... it does not work for me.

I cannot believe they have not done anything for me... knowing I was filing a complaint.
I assumed they would, but I guess I  was wrong.

WEAK.

You have to use that system transfer tool that is on this site some where under support.  I had the same problem and doubted the Indian telling me what to do, but I did it and it worked.  If it doesn't work for you then you are probably doing something wrong.
