What the *** is this garbage? Oh I get it. Yea I understand EA owns what was once called Origin. Yea I remember Origin. This Arena junk is crap. If I were to free my bowels onto a paper plate and eat it, that would taste better than having to digest this corporatacracy drivel.

Do any of you even know what I'm talking about?

Wing Commander 1 on a 386 was a million times better than suffering through this profit mongering puke. Had you just called this game "Space Wars 2248" or some other generic name then fine. That's all this game is; a generic 2D space shooter and nothing more. I can't believe I almost bought this before playing it. That's how good the original games were. You could buy them without playing them and KNOW you were getting a solidly produced game.

TO THE PRODUCERS OF THIS GAME: Please go out in the alley and blow your brains all over the dumpster. You have defiled a perfect license. Worse, you ruined its good name on your filth. You should be sued for slander and libel.

TO THE PROGRAMMERS: I don't blame you. You just needed a paycheck. I get that.

The sad thing is most of you wont even know what I'm talking about because you're too young to have played the  holy series of Wing Commander. Do you remember Xwing? or Tie Fighter? Yea, Wing Commander was there way before them. It was a real space combat simulator which even used a joystick. Do any of you even know what that is? It was a beautiful device which mimicked that of an airplane's controls. Down was up and up was down. That's where you get your Halo Inverted Controls. They put inversion into games specially for old folks like me who played old games on old computers.

EA: PLEASE DO NOT DEFILE WING COMMANDER EVER AGAIN. Leave Privateer alone. Just drop it.

I know what you mean mate,  when I saw this title on xbox arcade my eyes popped out and almost bought the title without trying it.  Your right, this is a generic game and can be programmed quite easily with minimal effort;  it's not even a true space combat game ! ! !

I also remember Xwing and Tie fighter they were great games too imo, and I spent many hours playing them.

Yep, I really liked Wing Commander 1 and 2, I have a Privateer disk I got at a garage sale that I never got working, it looked really cool.

EA has been raping Ultima's corpse for years now. Starting with Ultima Online, it took development away from Ultima IX, similar to how Fallout: POS took time away from Fallout 3. (Even though I'm okay with Bethesda making Fallout 3 now.)

If EA touches something you love, touch it goodbye. Also: Madden sucks.

Wing Commander Arena is growing on me, and I kind of like it now. But it is, in no shape or form, a Wing Commander game. It has it in the name, but that's it.
The only space shooter is Project Sylpheed, which isn't as good as the proper WC series.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!  WTF??? 

I am so sad for BIOWARE (a little know Canadian company that brought us xbox games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect and PC games like the mmorpg D&D Forgotten Realms game Neverwinter Nights; that was recently aquired by EA

WING COMMANDER: ARENA SUCKS!! HOW DARE YOU!! W.T.H. WERE YOU THINKING???

Even the movie was better than this **** and two of the main characters did the Scooby-Doo movies for crying out loud! How hard would it be to do a Wing Commander I & II for XBLA when Doom and **** like Marathon Durandal are available?

OFF SUBJECT:  I would like to see (and definately buy) a Wing Commander Collectors Edition PC-DVD Game sometime in the near furture like they did with the Command & Conquer: The First Decade game which I bought.

If they made a game like that...... what WC games should be included?

Bethesda rocks!

I miss Ultima. It was a great RPG! How is that not XBLA worthy? Guess what? I don't care! Why? Because the next version of the Elder Scrolls from Bethesda is going to be Online!! That's right.... Daggerfall, Morrowing and Oblivion open world of MMORPG!!!

PS - I still miss Ultima..... Quake III: Arena and Duke Nukem are scheduled for the XBLA. Also: Madden does suck and there are a few Wing Commander online sites (PC)
