How You Do Dat (this write up)
SignalLT (confirmation of calls of key survivors)
And a guide on gamefaqs by GeistCH

*There are a total of 39 calls you have to answer in order to get this achievement.

*You have to save 6 key survivors to get this achievement. Ronald, Floyd, Kindell, Cherly, Paul and Simone.

*In order to get this achievement you must fill each room with 1 survivor not including the key 6. Get 2 survivors in each room just in case. The reason you do this is so they interact with each other and talk about whats happening. I try and save as many as I can just to be sure, but casualties are acceptable, unlike when you're trying to get 'Saint'.

*If you have too many scoops open at once you will no longer receive calls. So if you start getting bogged down, kill some survivors, to free up space for more additional scoops. Gotta get those calls!

*If you are standing in the security room, heliport, or the rooftop where the vent is, YOU CANNOT RECEIVE CALLS!!!

*You have to receive the ENTIRE call, and Otis has to hang up. This screwed me bad once when I was waiting in the warehouse to for Otis to call, and tell me to head to the Security Room. The call came, and right before it completed, I jumped the gun, and opened the door to the rooftop. Otis was then unable to call me back (no calls on the rooftop), and I didn't figure it out, until I played the entire 72 hours, and no achievemwnt. Missed it by maybe one second.

*A call CAN be interrupted. You just have to make sure that you pick it up when Otis calls back.

These calls are all in order. READ THE WHOLE THING FIRST!!!

Legend--

Green - A must save survivor. (key survivors!!!)

Orange - Save if you wish.

Red - Kill survivors.

Blue - Tips and Suggestions.

Brown - Calls before cases. Usually, this is Otis calling to tell you that you're time is almost up for your next scoop.

Violet - Survivors needs.

Black - No special meaning.

Days, Calls, Locations--

Save Jeff and Natalie.

1. 19th - First time you enter the warehouse.

2. 19th - After you finish case 1-3 in the Entrance Plaza

3. 19th - 2pm - Do not be in Paradise Plaza - "Cut from the same cloth" Scoop

Kill Kent. Head to Food Court. Kill Carlos. Follow Brad through Al Fresca, to Entrance Plaza. Wait here for your next calls.

4. 19th - 4pm - Do not be in Al Fresca Plaza - "Barricade Pair" Scoop

5. 19th - 5pm - Do not be in Al Fresca Plaza - "A Mother's Lament" Scoop

6. 19th - First time you enter the Food Court after case 1-1.

Wait til 10pm to enter Wonderland since your next two calls are both located there.

7. 19th - 9pm - Do not be in Wonderland Plaza. - "Out of Control" Scoop

8. 19th -10pm - Do not be in Wonderland Plaza - "Japanese Tourist" Scoop

9. 19th - First time you enter Wonderland Plaza

Now since you have free time go and kill Adam, save the Japanese tourists, save Greg (off of the roller-coaster), and escort everyone to the bathroom. This way Greg opens up the shortcut to Paradise.

10. 19th - 11pm - Do not be in the North Plaza - "Shadows in North Plaza" Scoop

11. 19th/ 20th - First time you enter the North Plaza

You can save David or kill him if you wish but close his scoop before case 2-1.

There is alot of free time here, so I like to head to the Maintenance Tunnel parking lot, grab the red car, drive to the center room on the map, and get the Maintenance Tunnel Key. Time can get a little tight later, and this will be advantageous.

12. 20th 12(midnight)-5am - First time you enter the Maintenance Tunnel.

13. 20th - 6am - Do not be in the Security Room - Otis calls about Case 2-1

14. 20th - During case 2-2 - Otis says the gate from Paradise Plaza and Entrance Plaza is open.

15. 20th - 7am - Do not be in Wonderland Plaza - "The Lovers" Scoop

To be on the safe side to get call 16. Wait outside or in the Wonderland Plaza until you get it then go get the First-Aid Kit. I say kill Tonya & Ross, for a couple reasons. Tonya is borderline retarded, and Ross can't walk. Additionally, you are heading to fight the Grocer, and if you need the survivors, the three (see below) outside of Crislip's Hardware, are much easier to save.

16. 20th - When you enter Seon's Food & Stuff during case 2-2

17. 20th - 8am - Do not be in the North Plaza - "The Hatchet Man" Scoop

I like to save these three survivors, since it is an easy run through the park, back to the security room. Up to you though. Doesn't matter who you save, as long as you're populating the security room.

18. 20th - 9am - Do not be in Al Fresca Plaza - "The Coward" Scoop

I usually let 'The Coward' scoop expire. He always seems to be a little out of the way. Up to you though.

19. 20th - 11am - Do not be in the Security Room - Otis talks about case 3-1

20. 20th - 11am - Do not be in Paradise Plaza - "Restaurant Man" Scoop - (Ronald)

Complete case 3-1, then go and save Ronald. Make sure you have a food/drink item for him.

21. 20th - 12 am (Noon) - Do not be in Wonderland Plaza - "Above the law" Scoop

Here again, since it is a nice-sized group, that is within easy reach of the bathroom shortcut to Paradise Plaza, I like to save as many of these girls, as I can.

22. 20th - 3pm - Do not be in the Security Room - Otis talks about case 4-1

23. 20th - 5pm - Do not be in the Entrance Plaza - "Antique Lover" Scoop - (Floyd)

24. 20th - 5pm - Do not be in the Entrance Plaza - "Mark of the Sniper" Scoop

25. 20th - 5pm - Do not be in the Entrance Plaza - "The Woman Who Didn't Make It" Scoop

26. 20th - 7pm - Do not be in the Security Room - "Ronalds Appetite" Scoop - Ronald needs food/drink.

27. 20th - 12pm (Midnight) - Do not be in the North Plaza - Otis calls to talk about case 5-1

Note KINDELL is not part of a scoop. You will find him outside the location where you meet Isabela in case 5-1, at midnight.

28. 20th - 12pm (Midnight) - Do not be in Colby's Movieland - "A Strange Group" - (Cheryl)

29. 21st - 2am - Do not be in the Security Room - "Floyd the Sommelier" - Floyd needs some wine to calm down.

30. 21st - 3am - Do not be in the Security Room - Otis calls to talk about Case 6-1

31. 21st - 5am - Do not be in Wonderland Plaza - "Long Hairded Punk" Scoop - (Paul)

32. 21st - 8am - Do not be in Wonderland Plaza - "A Sick Man" Scoop

33. 21st - 11am - Do not be in the Security Room - Otis talks about case 7-1

Personally, since I'm a fiend for efficiency, I now use the Maintenance Tunnel Key (that you grabbed in the beginning, right?) and head down through the Maintenance Door near Paradise Plaza's bathrooms. This drops you off next to the white car. Then I go and get 2 of the bombs, before the next calls come in. Even getting just 1 puts you ahead a little bit.

34. 21st - 12am (Noon) - Do not be in Paradise Plaza - "A Woman in Despair" Scoop - (Simone)

Grab Simone, then head up to talk to Kindell. You don't have to, but it saves you some back & forth action, and I'm sure by now you're sick of running through that warehouse, with idiots following you. :)

35. 21st - 12am (Noon) - Do not be in the Security Room - "Kindell's Betrayal" Scoop - Talk to Kindell calm him down

Head to the Maintenance Tunnel to get the bombs. Must finish before 5pm, or Kaboom! Once you get the bombs out, you can let your cases expire. Isabella will just stand outside the vent on the roof, waiting for you to talk to her.

36. 21st - 5pm - Do not be in the Security Room - Otis talks about Jessie

37. 21st - 5pm - Do not be in the Security Room - "Paul's Present" Scoop - Talk to Paul and get your cocktails.

38. 21st - 7pm - Do not be in the Security Room - "Simone the Gunslinger" Scoop - Give Simone a handgun.

39. 21st - 8pm - Do not be in the Security Room - "Cheryl's Request" Scoop - Take some photos of her.

Good job! Don't forget to hang out at the helipad if you want the Mall Worker's Uniform to be added to the Security Room goodie pile!

My plan is so simple an idiot could have thought of it

Re: Dead Rising Compilation of FAQs and Guides
Frank the Pimp Guide by Crimzen dragon

1. Make sure there are no survivors that need to be saved anywhere in the mall at the time of doing this. If you do have any lingering survivors you will not get some of the calls. Either save them first or kill them off. I prefer to kill them, it's quicker.

2. Wait for the scoop "Above The Law" 12:00pm On day 2

3. First, save Sally from the Bunny and Kill Nick(hanging on bunny in Wonderland Plaza)1:00pm (No Call)(1 Survivor)

4. Kill Jo(From "Above The Law" scoop) and grab the 4 girls. If you save Sally first then head right to Lovely Fashion House, you will have no problems with Jo killing off 3 of the survivors.(thats 5 so far)

5. Take shortcut to Paradise Plaza via theWonderland Plaza bathroom.

6. Save Jennifer(Inside box) from the Raincoat Cultists outside of Jills Sandwhch Shop in Paradise Plaza while the other girls wait in the bathroom. When the cutscene occurs for this part the girls will follow you to the cultists. You should head back to the bathroom and put a waymarker in there BEFORE you killl the cultists and save Jennifer(thats 6)

7. Wait in the bathroom in Paradise plaza for scoop "Mark of the sniper" in Entrance plaza(5 pm)

8. Kill the 3 snipers from "Mark Of The Sniper" scoop in Entrance Plaza while the 6 girls wait in the cosmetics shop(Estelle's Fine-Lady Cosmetics) on the 2nd floor at the top of the escalator

9. Kill Wayne(survivor from "Mark Of The Sniper" scoop) who is in the same cosmetics shop that the girls are in.

10. By this time you will already have the scoop "Antique lover" in Entrance Plaza. Kill Floyd from this scoop inside the antiques shop(Ned's Knicknackary) while the girls remain in cosmetics shop.

11. Now, to get the final scoop,"The Woman Who Didn't Make It", you will have to leave Entrance Plaza. Head to Paradise Plaza, get the call from Otis, then return to Entrance Plaza.

12. Once again send the girls to the cosmetics shop(Estelles Fine-Lady Cosmetics) on the 2nd floor in Entrance Plaza, straight ahead from the escalator.

13. Head downstairs to "Grandmas Shop" to get Jolie from the scoop "The Woman Who Didn't Make It".(that makes 7)

14. And the last one is a continuation from the last scoop. Head upstairs and grab all seven girls and head to "Ladies Space" to get Rachael.......The 8th girl

***All of these scoops will happen in a 5-6 hour span(Game time) so it's pretty quick.***

-         Head upstairs and run through the supermarket back to Carlito’s hideout, use motorcycle out front of store if time is short

-         Talk to Isabela

-         Head for security room to get Snuff Shot J Avoid SF

-         Return to Carlito’s Hideout between 12 am and 10am to talk to Isabela

-         Return to Carlito’s hideout again after 10am but before 12pm for final cutscene

-         Get to roof and wait for chopper at 12pm

Otis(49), Frank(50), Isabela(51), and Jessie(52) are your other possible survivors depending on which ending you get. Brad(53) and Dr. Barnaby(54) unfortunately perish but may still count (dunno till I get there).

Ending E Otis, Isabela, and Jessie are the final three. Basically stop doing missions after you complete 7-2 (don't go back to security room) and don’t go to the helipad at Noon. They'll recount tales of your heroism to the pilot but you die in the mall.

Ending B Otis, Jessie, and Frank make 51. Stop doing missions after 8-2 (don't go fight butcher) and be at the helipad

Ending A Frank is the only other survivor for 49, unless the game still counts Isabela and the others. We’ll have to play through it and get there to see.

Re: Dead Rising Compilation of FAQs and Guides
Frank the Pimp Guide (alternative) by Valyc

1. Your key-scoop is "The Restaurant Man" (20th 11am). Make sure that you do not have any other outstanding scoops, when Otis makes the "The Restaurant Man" call, and do not be in Paradise Plaza.
The easiest way to make sure of this, is to kill all the survivors from all the scoopes before "The Restaurant Man".

2. Head to Paradise Plaza and kill Ronald inside Jills Sandwich Shop, and then head towards Child's Play. Save Pamela from the Zombies around her, and go inside Child's Play, and speak to Heather (2 survivors).

3. Escort the girls to the bathroom, and wait here until 1pm. In the meantime you should get the "Abowe The Law" call from Otis.

4. After 1pm use the shortcut in the bathroom to Wonderland Plaza.

5. Run left towards the Food Court and save Sally (hanging on the giant Bunny) (3 survivors).

6. Head up the stairs and enter Lovely Fashion House. Kill Jo and rescue the 4 girls held captive in the store (7 survivors).

7. Escort the 7 girls down the stairs again and run towards the bathroom.

8. Use the shortcut back to Paradise Plaza.

9. You should now get the cutscene with the Cultists. As soon as you regain control of Frank, run back towards the
bathroom where the girls are, and set a waymarker for them inside the bathroom to keep them safe, while you deal with
the Cultists.

10. Kill all the the Cultists and save Jennifer (inside the box).

You now have all the 8 girls to receive the Frank The Pimp achievement.

Re: Dead Rising Compilation of FAQs and Guides
53,594 Kills by Gurv720
Thats a lot of zombies to kill in 3 days. In this FAQ I will describe and give off some valuable information to help you all successfully get this achievement.

Before you attempt this achievement
1. Start a new game- This will take you about 2 hours(48 hours in game time) to complete.
2. Stock up on "untouchable" Remember its Pie plus OJ put into a blender
3.Stock up on weapons such as the katana and metal bar
Look at this fantastic map
http://newcenstein.com/deadrisingmap.htm

Then
1.Head over to the parking garage
2.Get in the convertible sports car and drive into the Maintenance Tunnels.
3. Once inside turn right onto the road then immediately left at the turn then right once more into the Giant T.
4. Go inside that room and pick up the Maintenance key it will come in handy for later(Only Do once).
5. Whip your car around and make a right out of the giant T then once more another right and follow this road all the way down to the White car.
6. Your red car is beat ditch it and get into the white car.
7. Drive off and follow the road until you get to the first corner after you pass it turn left.
8. Drive past the giant T and turn right and follow this road all the way up the ramp.
9. You should see a giant truck at the top of it, ditch the white car and take it.
10. Get in the truck and drive down the ramp and go all the way down to the end of the road and turn the car around.

11. From there go strait and exit the Maintenance tunnel on the left "exit has cones, can't miss it"
12. Exit and drive over to the Convertible and start the process over again.
Tips
1. When doing a cycle at the end you should average about 800-1000 kills
2. Avoid hitting the Gas tanks, those will weaken your car and it could possible destroy it.
3. If somehow your car gets destroyed which is very unlikely if you follow this, then you either try to get out or get to the next vehical if your close.
4. Don't try to do anything else only focus on getting all these kills, IGNORE OTIS!!!
So you got all 53,594 kills...
Start the process of the "Then" once your at the White Car there is an exit near by, exit the tunnels. You are in Paradise Plaza the smart thing to do would to SAVE your game at the bathroom which is right next to the door you just walked out of. You should have at least a day left on your file, do what ever you want. Just make sure your at that helipad at noon on the 4th day or else you want get that mega man blaster(which is super cool, and kills psychos in a few hits!)

Have anymore questions post them here, I hope this helps those who need it.

Re: Dead Rising Compilation of FAQs and Guides

 By Forsaken32

Here’s a list of which survivors end up in which room. (not 100% complete, but enough for transmissionary)  I think you only need survivors in Ronald and Kindells room, but its up to you because I haven’t tried leaving the other rooms empty.  Not sure of minimum survivors per room, but this is what I had and I was successful.

Yellow Door Room (Simone, Paul, Floyd)

(34) Tonya (35) Ross [Lover’s Scoop]

(50) Sally (51) Nick [Hanging from rabbit in wonderland]

(56) Jolie (57) Rachel [Girl who didn’t make it scoop]

(58) Floyd [Antique Lover Scoop]

(70) Paul [Long haired punk scoop]

(75) Simone  [Woman in distress scoop]

Blue Door Room (Ronald, need people here to get ronald’s call)

(43) RONALD [Restaraunt Man Scoop]

(21) Bill [In the closet, entrance plaza]

(25) Sophie [Convicts, leisure park]

(26) Burt + (27) Aaron [Barricade Pair Scoop]

(40) Heather + (41) Pamela [At PP after or during Lover’s scoop RESCUE*]

Green Door Room (Kindell, Need people for kindell’s betrayal)

(19) Jeff (20) Natalie  [Rooftop after the entrance plaza break in]

(28) Leah  [A Mother’s Lament Scoop]

(37) Josh (38) Barbara (39) Rich [Hatchet man scoop empty store]

(42) Gordon  [The Coward Scoop]

(44) Jennifer  [In the cult members box after cut scene]

(55) Wayne [Mark of the sniper scoop]

(59) Kindell [Outside of the empty store you meet Isabella at midnight]

Pink Door Room (People you can probably leave to die, but save a few to be safe)

(31)Yuu (32)Shinji  [Japanese tourists scoop]

(33) David [Shadow over north plaza scoop]

(46)Kay (47)Lilly (48)Kelly (49)Janet [Above the law scoop]

*If you kill Tonya and Ross, I can’t guarantee Heather or Pamela will ever spawn.

Re: Dead Rising Compilation of FAQs and Guides

By Mr Sark

This is a simple, step-by-step strat to get the Gourmet achievement in as little time as possible.

I am assuming that you are level 50, as far as how many inventory slots you have. If you are not, you'll just have to run back and forth a couple extra times. :) You should be carrying minimal equipment, so you can carry all the ingredients.

Special thanks to SAS Soldier & ahsatan for input and test-runs.

22. Easy way to do this part is to go down this list from the top. Checking each food item off one-by-one, so you don't miss any. Pick 'em up. Eat 'em.

- Apple

- Baguette

- Cabbage

- Cheese

- Coffee Creamer

- Cookies

- Corn

- Frozen Vegetables (Grab 2. Eat 1.)

- Grapefruit

- Ice Pops (Grab 2. Eat 1.)

- Japanese Radish

- Orange

- Melon

- Milk (1/2 gal. Carton)

- Milk (1 gal. Jug)

- Uncooked Pizza (Grab 3. Eat 1)

- Raw Meat (Grab 3. Eat 1)

- Red Cabbage

- Squash

- Wine

- Yogurt

- Zucchini

23. You should now be holding...

-2 Uncooked Pizzas
-2 Raw Meats
-1 Frozen Vegetables
-1 Ice Pops

Paradise Plaza / Food Court (Find an oven.)
______________________________________
Head to either Paradise Plaza or the Food Court.
If you choose Paradise, go to the oven in Jill's Sandwich.
If you go to the Food Court, pick an oven. There are several.

24. Cook 1 Uncooked Pizza. Eat the Golden Brown Pizza

25. Cook 1 Raw Meat. Eat the Well Done Steak

You should now be holding...

-1 Uncooked Pizza
-1 Raw Meat
-1 Frozen Vegetables
-1 Ice Pops
Now you can go about your business for a couple game hours, while you wait for everything to go bad and/or melt.

26. An easy way to be SURE that everything is rotten or melted is to drop it, and see what it is called when you pick it back up. I believe it takes 2 in-game hours for the food to melt/rot. Then, eat the...

-Spoiled Meat
-Rotten Pizza
-Melted Ice Pops
-Thawed Vegetables

Voila. Gourmet Achievement!

Introduction

You start the game as Frank West, a free-lancing photo journalist who gets a hint about an event going down in a town called Willamette, Colorado. Travelling by helicopter you reach the rooftop of the Willamette shopping mall after witnessing what you could only describe as a riot, having no idea what is going on. Your goal is to find out what’s happening to the town and discover the mystery behind the whole event. Will frank survive and make it back to the chopper in 3 days as planned? Well I’ve decided to make this psychopath guide to help you out along the way.

When I first bought this game I found it extremely difficult to play. For a beginner, this game is hard to get the hang of. However as I got used the style and overall game play it became much more fun. Just remember to not give up after your first attempt at the game, try it a few more times and you will realise just how good the game is.

If you have any more questions regarding psychopaths or anything else in Dead Rising then send me or DarkChaos319 a message or post here. His Motto says it all.

Note: Spoilers

I can not stress enough that this guide DOES contain spoilers, and some big ones at that. So please don’t moan at me if you read something you didn’t want too. You have been warned.

Psychopaths

Here is a list of names of all the psychopaths in the game.

1. Adam the Clown

2. Carlito

3. Larry the Butcher

4. Three Convicts in Leisure Park

5. Isabella

6. Steve

7. Jo

8. Cletus

9. Cultists

10. Sean

11. Hall Family. Roger, Jack, Thomas

12. Kent

13. Paul

14. Cliff

15. Brock

The Guide: Main Case File Psychopaths

Before I start the guide I would like to say a few things. If you have done the Zombie Genocider achievement and have unlocked the Real Mega Buster I suggest you use it on ALL of the psychopaths.  The mini chainsaws you receive after killing Adam are also extremely good at taking out psychopaths. I however have written this guide to help you kill them without the use of the RMB or small chainsaws. However if you have them, use them.

I’d like to also take this moment to say a few words about how to get Ending A.

Ending A: Complete ALL Case files, talk to Isabella at 10am on the 3rd day and be at the helipad at 12pm. A lot of people do not talk to Isabella and wonder why they didn’t receive ending A.

By DarkChaos319 ‘If you decide to go for Genocider, make sure you have both Horror Novels (Bachman's Bookporium, Paradise Plaza; Sinister Read, Entrance Plaza, Second Floor). This will increase all zombie killing PP bonuses by 50%. (i.e., 500 PP bonus = 750 bonus)’

-------------------------------------------

Name: Carlito Part 1

Case: 1-2

Scoop: Backup For Brad

Where: Food Court

Recommended Weapons: Katana, Sub-Machine Gun, Shotgun.

Carlito starts on the upper platforms of the Food Court above various restaurants and diners. He shoots you with his gun, throws bombs and uses a melee attack if you get too close.

Method: When you first start after the cut scene make your way over to the counter inside Chris’s Fine Foods and pick up some wine – although I seriously doubt you will need it. Make your way around the back of Carlito and walk up to some boxes – climb these. When on top of the platform follow the small wall forward slightly, if Carlito is around the corner from you stop slightly before the corner of the wall and let him aim at you. Don’t worry! He will not be able to hit you; his bullets will hit the wall and end up being useless. While he is reloading jump out from behind the wall and slash him a few times with the Katana. If he kicks you while doing this just jump up again and keep on slashing him with the Katana, he should be dead in no time.

Alternate Method: Grab a Sub Machine Gun or pistol and make your way to the food court ( Useful weapon locations will be available further on in the guide ). After the cut scene again make your way around to the back of Carlito but this time do not climb up onto the platform. Instead, aim at his head with your gun of choice and fire away. He will shoot you every so often and throw bombs. If you are low on health run over to Chris’s Fine Foods and take some wine. Keep shooting him in the head and be patient – He will eventually be defeated. If the unfortunate possibility arises that you run out of ammo, speak to brad and he will give you a full handgun at any time.

Name: Carlito Part 2

Case: 2-2

Scoop: Rescue The Professor

Where: Entrance Plaza

Recommended Weapons: Sub-Machine Gun, Sniper Rifle or Katana for melee.

Carlito is back! This time however he’s a bit more dangerous. Perched on the second floor of the Entrance Plaza he opts for a long range Sniper to take you down.

Method: Here’s the secret for this fight – Quickstep. This drink increases your running speed dramatically. Mix up two of these, grab a katana and make your way to the Entrance Plaza. After the cut scene run along to the far end of the plaza and go the escalators. By doing this Carlito is now surrounded by both Brad and Frank from either side. When close drink your quickstep, equip your Katana and run at him. Slash, Slash, Slash. He should be defeated relatively quickly. His bullets should miss you as you are moving too fast. If you prefer to gun him down, acquire a sniper rifle and shoot his head from behind a pillar. If positioned correctly he will not be able to shoot you but you can shoot him.

Alternate Method: The same as the first one concerning the quicksteps however this time no drinks will be needed. At the opposite side of the mall from where you start should be a sports shop. Go inside this shop and take the bicycle from beside the tent, ride up the stairs and charge Carlito. Hop off, Katana him, Dead. It is possible to substitute the Katana for a regular Cleaver, it may seem slightly weaker but it is also that split second faster. I’ve also been told it is possible to just run him over repeatedly with the bicycle – Make sure you’re fast though because if you take to long Brad will die and the case files will expire.

Name: Steven

Case: 2-3

Scoop: Medicine Run

Where:  Seon’s Food Supermarket, North Plaza

Recommended Weapons: Shotgun and Katana.

Ahhh a crazy supermarket owner with a shopping trolley……….rigged with

Knives!!!!!!!! Despite the dramatics, Steven can be easily defeated if done correctly. He charges at you with his Trolley and rams you over, kicks you if you get close behind him or shoots you with his shotgun, Great.

Method: You’ll have to be quick about this fight if you want to save Brad in time. Before activating the cut scene and initiating the fight I suggest you grab a few things – Wine, Katana and the Shotgun. Once these have been acquired try to open the Pharmacy door and you will be treated to a rather humorous cut scene. When it ends, hold down on your controller and run round to the next isle. Climb up on top of the shelves and aim at Steven with your shotgun, when he sees you on top of the shelves he will take out his own Shotgun – This is your chance. During this 1 or 2 second animation he is completely vulnerable to attack, Shoot his head! Immediately after this shot jump back down to the isle you came from before Steven can get a shot on you. When down, Steven will put his shotgun away again and take control of his trolley. Just jump back up onto the shelves and repeat. If done correctly he should die quickly without any damage being taken.

Alternate Method: Similar to before but this time you’re going to melee him with a Katana. When you jump up onto the shelves immediately jump down when he aims at you – He should still be aiming. He will stay in this stance until he see’s you so jump out from isle and slash him with the Katana until dead. Rinse and repeat.

By DarkChaos319Another alternate method for Steven (this worked great for me): [Recommended weapon: just the SMG] I tried to jump on the shelves and was immediately shot down. He kicked me and shot gunned me while I tried to melee. So here's what I did: take your SMG. Go to the other side of the aisle Steven is on. Now either aim at his head or let Frank do the aiming. (either way works fine). If you're going to let Frank aim, adjust the camera so you can see Steven. Shoot him in small bursts. He will duck behind his cart. Shoot again when he pops up. Repeat. When he gets close, you can risk it by taking a Photo Op moment or just flee down the aisle. Always make sure he's on the other side of the aisle. Repeat your killing.’

Re: Dead Rising Compilation of FAQs and Guides

Name: Isabella

Case: 4-2

Scoop: Girl Hunting

Where:  North Plaza

Recommended Weapons: Any gun, preferably the Shotgun or Sub Machine Gun.

Who’s this mysterious girl? What’s she up too? Why is Frank looking at her chest? This ‘Psychopath’ is a very easy one and can be taken care of relatively quickly. Isabella only uses two attacks, her pistol and her motorbike to run you over.

Method: This is very simple. Get a gun and when the fight begins run around so she does not initially run you over. Then when you’re in a good position run over to the large bin or box to the right of Seons Supermarket doors and jump onto it. Isabella’s motorbike is now left useless; she can no longer run you over. Now he is forced to shoot you with her pathetic pistol which causes minimal damage. Just aim at her head and shoot, Easy.

Name: Carlito Part 3

Case: 7-2

Scoop: Bomb Collector

Where:  Maintenance Tunnels

Recommended Weapons: None, take a Katana or Small Chainsaw as your vehicle may break down.

This isn’t really considered a psychopath fight, however I’ll help anyway. Carlito has managed to plant various bombs underneath the mall and it is your job to stop him – He won’t let you stop him without a fight though. He chases you in his truck, running you over at every opportunity.

Method: First of all, look at your map. Wherever there is a ‘?’ mark is where a bomb is located. Also, try and get the maintenance tunnel key before you attempt this case – It helps a lot. To get the maintenance tunnel key: Go grab the either the red

Convertible or the motorcycle in front of the maintenance tunnel. Drive into

The maintenance tunnel and take the first right, then drive down on the left side and take your first left. Follow this and take the first right. This should lead to a dead end with a door. Walk into the door, and it’s on the far right side of the room. On the left side of this room should be a sub-machine gun. Starting outside the tunnels take the motorbike and take you’re first left all the way to the end, get out and take the White truck. Then plan out the easiest route to each of the ‘?’ and make your way avoiding as many zombies as possible. The trick is to stop right at the truck leaving enough room for you to jump out, grab the bomb and get back inside the car without any harassment. Repeat for each bomb travelling as fast as you can as Carlito is hot on your tail. When you have collected all the bombs make your way back to the tunnels entrance and voila, you saved the mall. Enjoy the cut scene.

By DarkChaos319 ‘I might recommend bringing 1 or 2 quicksteps because the truck will break down. You can also kill Carlito's truck, but I've heard you end up somewhere near Paradise Plaza. Also, when entering the maintenance tunnels in Case 7-2, take the motorcycle because there are walls that the red car can't fit into. My plan: take a left, left. Take the bomb. Switch motorcycle for truck. Take truck and follow question marks. I figured, time varying from amount of zombies, that if you go for more than three at a time with the truck, it will break down and you will be stranded. So after I got two (not including the first one) I drove back to the meat area, went in, went out, and took the re-spawned truck. Then I continued.’

Name: Larry The Butcher

Case: 8-4

Scoop: The Butcher

Where: Meat Processing Room, Maintenance tunnels.

Recommended Weapons: Shotgun, Heavy Machine Gun Or Small Chainsaw/Katana.

Ah just your friendly butcher giving you a free steak for Sunday lunch…NOT. This guy is lethal, and a bit on the overweight side of things. Well, no one trusts a thin chef eh? Larry either attacks you with his Butchers Cleaver or throws large chunks of meat at you.

Method: This one isn’t too bad, there’s some milk available around the room if your low on health but you should already have some wine/orange juice to be on the safe side of things. If you have the ‘roll’ skill ( Double tap in one direction ) use it here to avoid the meat. Basically if you have a small chainsaw walk up to him and hit him a few times. Dead. If not what I done was to shoot him in the head with a shotgun. Every time I shot him however he would counter by throwing knives and meat at me, this is where the roll becomes useful. Keep shooting him and don’t get too close unless you want him to steamroll you to the ground. Yes’ steamroll’ he’s a big fella. At some point he will run off and drink enabling you to get a good PP shot if you want it. Keep shooting and hacking away until he is defeated. Well done, another dead psychopath.

If you take a Special Forces machine gun with you to the fight you can unload the whole clip into the side of a hanging meat carcase. This will give you the Perfect Gunner achievement. You can get a Special Forces machine gun from Brett Styles in the Huntin’ Shack on the 3rd Day.

Alternate Method: I heard if you run round in circles with the katana and attack him he can not hit back, I have not tested this but it may be worth a try. Also when you see him pick up a piece of meat it may be a good idea to go round the other side of another piece of meat so he is unable to hit you. I would also suggest you stick to melee as bullets are often sometimes useless due to the large amount of fat on his body.

The Guide: Other Psychopaths

Name: Prototype Tank

Scoop: Overtime Mode

Where: Area at the end of overtime mode.

Recommended Weapons: None, you use a mounted turret.

Just when you thought you were home free the Special Forces pull this one out their sleeve. A giant, threatening tank blocks your way and you must defeat it to continue. The tank itself has a huge life bar and takes a while to kill. Its armour is rock hard but it can be damaged if you hit the right places.

Method: There are two things you need to concentrate your gunfire on when doing this fight – The two boxes on the front side of the tank and a small sentry on top of the tank. These ‘Hotspots’ flash a little green light so you should be able to locate them easily. Focus your fire on the Sentry when it appears as if you take it out quickly enough the tank will not be able to lock onto your jeep and will be unable to fire. Each time you tank hits you, you use one life block.

The tank will deploy small sentry drones to attack you, when these appear destroy them before they get to close. Then continue to fire at the tank, keep doing this until the tank is destroyed.

Name: Brock

Scoop:  Overtime Mode

Where:  On top of a tank at the end of Overtime mode.

Recommended Weapons: None, you have to fight him barehanded.

Brock isn’t really a psychopath and more of an end of game ‘boss’. He’s the leader of the Special opts team sent into the mall to clear things up – Including you.

Method: The easiest way to do this is to stand on the lower end of the tank and wait for brock to jump down to you. When he comes down jump kick him. He will now think you are going back up so he will follow although you’re still at the lower level. When he realises you are still down then he will jump down again allowing you to jump kick him once more. Rinse and repeat.

Hard Boss eh…

Name: Kent

Scoop:  After the completion of ‘Photo Challenge’

Where:  Columbian Roastmaster’s, Paradise Plaza.

Recommended Weapons: Small Chainsaw, Katana, and Shotgun.

Kent, the crazy photographer is planning on capturing a picture of the exact moment

A human turns into a zombie. Stop him! He has a survivor tied up when you meet him so you must save him and kill Kent.

Method: The biggest pushover ever. Period. Do whatever you want – Shoot, Hack, Slash, Spit…stare. I’m sure you can kill him without any help.

However….Be fast! Do not be late to meet him or you will run into some annoyances.

  1. Kent ties you up.
  2. Your weapons and clothing are removed.
  3. You have to fight him barehanded, which isn’t as simple if you are quite a low level.

If you are unfortunately late and Kent does this to you: Keep running around in circles, you will be attached to a large chain but you will still have some movement. What I did here was the Double Lariet however not everyone will have access to this skill so it may be a good idea to run up to him, jump kick then run away again. Watch out for the zombies though as they can be a real pain. This fight can be really hard if you are late and are a low level – You will have no food and weapons. The best way to avoid this – DO NOT BE LATE.

Name: Adam The Clown

Scoop:  Out Of Control

Where:  Wonderland Plaza

Recommended Weapons: Shotgun or Sub Machine Gun.

This is one mean clown; I don’t think he’ll attract many children. He has two chainsaws one in each hand and attacks you with a variety of spins and flips. He also throws knives and chokes you with a deadly gas.

Method: Grab either two Shotguns or SMG’s and head to Wonderland Plaza. Activate the rollercoaster and a cut scene will appear. After the scene run onto the long path and wait for Adam to come down. Keep your distance at all times and wait for him to blow up his balloons. When he does this, shoot his head! He sometimes counters with knives just keep moving to dodge them. Your bullets will not be able to hurt him if he is not blowing balloons and it is unwise to melee him as he will rip you to shreds. Be patient and don’t get to close to him. Wait until he blows a balloon and shoot. Using this method he should die quite easily with minimal effort. When he has become defeated you will gain access to his Chainsaws which I highly suggest you take. These weapons are one of the best in the game and I would personally recommend that you use them.

Also after the fight, make sure you escort Greg to the ladies bathroom in Wonderland Plaza. He will unlock an invaluable shortcut to Paradise Plaza.

By BEAN3R BOARD3R ‘when Adam starts spinning with the chainsaws, tease him or lead him on so that your close enough to him that he'll keep spinning. After a few seconds he'll stop and be extremely dizzy open for an attack.’

By DarkChaos319 ‘Handguns also work. I tried doing this after I got the Japanese Tourists and I gave them guns. They open fire, but they, in the end, mess you up. Better off by yourself. The balloons he blows up at you home in on you, so always make sure to keep an eye out for the ones you missed.’

Re: Dead Rising Compilation of FAQs and Guides

Name: Jo Slade

Scoop: Above the Law

Where:  Wonderland Plaza

Recommended Weapons: Shotgun, Sledgehammer, and Katana.

This cop reminds me of a shoe. An ugly one! One thing to note is the quicker you get to this scoop the more girls you will be able to save, so get here fast. She attacks you with her taser, nightstick and handgun.

Method: Keep your distance unless you want a nasty shock with her taser. What you’re aiming for is to keep running around away from her and looking for opportunities to shoot her with your Shotgun. Don’t stray to far though or she will attack one of the girl survivors or start shooting you with her handgun. Her night stick is deadly and her taser is annoying, so just keep a moderate distance and shoot her.

Alternate Method: Take a sledgehammer and smack her with it, run away, turn around and smack her with it again. Repeat until she is dead.

Name: Roger, Jack and Thomas ( Hall Sniper Family )

Scoop:  Mark Of The Sniper

Where:  Entrance Plaza

Recommended Weapons: Sniper, Small Chainsaws, and Katana.

2’s company, 3’s a crowd? Definitely in this case. This is one mean family with issues; they like to shoot you with Sniper Rifles.

Method: A Small Chainsaw can take each one out in just a few hits if you have one. If not, use a katana and chase each one down then slash away until they are defeated. If you get close to them they will run away but if you keep running and have quite a good speed you will be able to catch up with them and get a good hit. If your not a high level and are quite slow I recommend you shoot them with your own rifle or hide behind and object and wait for them to approach you. Then jump out and slash them. They have a pretty good shot so it is good to chase one into a nearby shop and take care of him alone. Remember to bring food, Wine or OJ preferably.

Alternate Method: Use a quickstep and chase them all one by one. Slash away with a sharp edged weapon until they die. Cliffs Machete is also useful.

By DarkChaos319Each family member has a particular skill in sniping. If you watched the Cut scene, Roger Hall (slick hair, glasses) has the best skill, Jack (the guy who talks first) has moderate-fairly good skill, and poor young Thomas (the kid who doesn't want to blow your brains out) has very poor skill. When you chase them down, they split up. Sprint after Roger, and when you get close enough, hack him to death. If he is too fast, whip out an SMG or shotgun and run 'n' gun. Take his sniper and then go for Jack. Thomas is easier, you can just swerve back and forth till you get to him, then defeat Thomas.’

Name: Cliff

Scoop:  Machete Man

Where:  North Plaza

Recommended Weapons: Small Chainsaws, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun and Katana.

This guy is one mean machine. Covered in blood from his victims he wields a deadly machete waiting to chop you up. He slices you with his Machete or throws grenades at you.

Method: Basically this guy runs down trap doors every time he gets hit and appears on top of a random shelf. So it’s best to melee him with your Katana or Chainsaw first then look on the shelves with your gun ready to aim. When you get a clear shot fire and change back to your melee weapon ready to repeat the process. When he goes down a trapdoor it is a good opportunity for a PP bonus shot. If you see him throw a grenade try your best to roll away and avoid it. Once Cliff has been defeated you access his Machete which is a very good weapon and receive a key to the empty room next to where you fight Cliff. There are 3 survivors in this room and a particularly useful book.

Name: Cult

Scoop:  None

Where:  Paradise Plaza

Recommended Weapons: Shotgun, Katana, Chainsaw or Guitar from the guitar shop.

In order to activate A Strange Group, you have to get this cut scene where Sean

Is telling the cultists to attack you. (Your first encounter with the cult) On

Day 3, you'll get a call from Otis about A Strange Group so watch your phone. The cult are about to sacrifice a survivor who is located inside a box. In order to save her you must kill all the cultists.

Method: These cultists are particularly annoying and dangerous. There knives are very powerful. If they get low on health and you do not kill them quickly then they will attach bombs to themselves and run at you. Each cult kill gives you 500 pp which is a nice bonus. Cultists will now be scattered all over the mall which is a nuisance. Save the kill in the crate and good luck.

Alternate Method: Shoot a cultist in the middle of the crowd with a handgun. He may take out a bomb, attach it to himself and blow up in the middle of the crowd taking some of his buddies with him.

By DarkChaos319 ‘Cult: If you're a low level and you can't take out the cultists, at least make sure you have some katanas and your eye on the TV. They pull out hunting knives when you get close; use this to your advantage. Get close, and some will follow you. Run back a bit, so you won't be surrounded and let them come to you. If they laugh maniacally and charge towards you, just move to the right or left so you won't get hit, then slash his back. Repeat for the others. If you happen to be surrounded, the Cultists will possibly spray you with sleeping gas, and then take you to their chamber. You'll pop out of the box. Then break open the box you see to see if there are any valuable items in there. Now dash into the other room to the red cloth with the eye on it. Take the sword and kill as many as you can. This will break, so your best bet afterwards is to do jump kicks or somersault kicks constantly. Then make your way out.’

Name: Sean Keanan

Scoop:  A Strange Group

Where:  Colby’s Movieland, Paradise Plaza.

Recommended Weapons: Small Chainsaw, Katana, Shotgun and Heavy Machine Gun.

Method: Your best bet for this guy is to shake up a few quicksteps and take a few guns. Kill the yellow cultists blocking your way and enter screen four to start the fight. When the battle begins drink a quickstep, gain some distance, turn around and shoot him. Keep doing this because if you to close he will whack you with his sword and it hurts! He also trips you up with some move that knocks you over. Keep running when he gets close and shooting when he’s far away. Unload as much ammo into him as you can.

When you defeat him a large group of yellow cultists will appear at the door so watch out a be prepared to protect the survivors.

Name: Paul Carson

Scoop:  long Haired Punk

Where:  Wonderland Plaza

Recommended Weapons: Heavy Machine Gun

Talk about crazy….

This guy likes to throw grenades and Molotov cocktails in both his and your direction, so be careful.

Method: The Heavy Machine Gun is perfect here. Paul will be unable to hit you as the gun is so powerful it knocks him over repeatedly. Paul is very simple to defeat and it doesn’t take much effort.

After he is defeated you can save two more survivors Mindy and Debbie. You can also if you choose save Paul. He accidentally sets himself on fire ( What a shame? ) and lies screaming on the floor. You can pick up the nearby fire extinguisher and help him out. If you save him he will make you an unlimited supply of Molotov cocktails which to be honest aren’t that good.

By DarkChaos319 ‘If you don't have the Heavy Machine gun on you, your next best bet is to take an SMG, because it's like the Heavy Machine gun, but you can run and shoot with it.’

Name: Convicts

Scoop:  None. They just appear.

Where:  Leisure Park.

Recommended Weapons: Sub Machine Gun, Katana, and Megabuster.

These guys aren’t as hard as some people make them out to be.

Method: If you do not have the Megabuster then grab a Sub Machine gun or Shotgun. Remember to take food, lots of it. Wine Wine Wine Wine! Avoid them at first at first and make your way to the maintenance tunnels. Grab the silver car and take it out into the leisure park, then drive head on with the convicts – The driver should die instantly. Now it’s just as simple as getting out the car, aiming at the other convicts head and shooting them. Try and avoid zombies while doing this though. Make taking out the gunner your priority as he is VERY VERY dangerous. Slash the remaining passenger with the katana, jump into the truck and unlock an achievement. Get out, take off the Machine Gun from the back and have some fun.

Remember to save Sophie the survivor.

By DarkChaos319 ‘[Recommended Weapon: SMG] If you don't want to take a chance with a Destruction Derby, then here are two methods: (1) This one isn't as useful but it can work if you do it right. Take the lawn mower by the Food Court, and mow in front of the jeep. They'll be stuck there, so just kill the gunner, the driver, and the passenger. (2) Get them to follow you to a big tree, one preferably that's curved a bit. Shoot the gunner till he's dead. Then try and melee the other two to death, or just shoot them.’

Name: Cletus

Scoop:  None

Where:  North Plaza, Side alley Gun Shop.

Recommended Weapons: Heavy Machine Gun or Sub Machine Gun.

Where the heck is the gun shop??? Oh there it is...OMG AHHH HE’S SHOOTING ME. Can’t we all get along? I guess not…

Free guns would be too easy in this game, we need a challenge. Cletus to the rescue!

If you get to the Gun Shop early enough in the game Cletus will not be here and you will have free access to all the guns. Cletus also disappears sometimes around the 3rd day. When he is gone he is replaced by three survivors – Alyssa Laurent, Jonathon Picardsen and Brett Styles. You can kill Brett and take his Special Forces machine gun if you like.

Method: First of all run past all of the zombies outside and ignore then, go into the shop and activate the cut scene. Then immediately go back outside the gun shop and clear all the zombies using any means possible. Once all the zombies have been taken care of open the LEFT door of the shop. Standing outside, cover most of your body using the wall and leave your gun hand sticking out. Congratulations you can now shoot Cletus without him shooting back. Just wait for him to move into your view and shoot his head. Very easy. If you missed a zombie it might annoy you while you’re aiming but just kill it and carry on.

One he is defeated, enjoy the free Shotguns and Snipe Rifles.

By DarkChaos319 ‘Cletus alternate method: [Recommended weapon: 2 SMGs] When you enter the Huntin' Shack, don't stand there like a deer staring at headlights. Either dash behind the door or a store display. The store displays in the shop are your best friend here. Position yourself behind it between you and Cletus (if you can't do it well, practice. But make sure you save!). If you know anything about shotguns, then you will know that a 12-gauge (the gun Cletus mentioned in the cut scene) has 6 shots before you need to reload. When he fires 6 shots (count them), move out a bit and fire a small burst at him. Run back and cower behind the store display. Repeat this method until he dies. If you can't aim straight with a gun, and you want to melee him, your only three hopes are the small chainsaw, the katana, and the sword. These three weapons are the only weapons that will reach across the counter and be able to hit Cletus. Following the method above, but when he reloads, charge at him with your chainsaw/katana/sword and attempt to kill him. Most likely here, though, he will pick you up and throw you to the door. If he does, go behind the store display and repeat. Following either of these methods will leave you in peace of zombies...but not Cletus.’

Name: Special Forces

Scoop: None.

Where: Throughout the mall, mainly in Overtime mode.

Recommended Weapons: Small Chainsaw, Katana and Machine Gun.

By DarkChaos319 ‘Special Forces have Machine Guns (not Uzis), bullet-proof armour, and gas-mask, nearly indestructible helmets. What could go wrong? If you've levelled up enough, almost any A+X move will kill them instantly, except for Hammer Throw. Disembowel is great. If you have a small chainsaw or katana, a few slashes will kill them. Shotguns and snipers are mostly useless, because of armour. Fight fire with fire? Using a Machine Gun against them can dramatically improve your gunplay. The Special Forces also have Sentries. These will alarm the Special Forces of your presence. The best way to kill these is either shoot them, or when they get close, Somersault kick them.’

Name: Special Forces Helicopter

Scoop: None.

Where: Leisure Park

Recommended Weapons: Special Forces machine gun.

By DarkChaos319 ‘A helicopter replacing the Convicts, just when you thought you were safe. The Helicopter only has two weapons: Missiles and a turret. Missiles are easy to dodge unless you stand there like an idiot. The turret is a nuisance, so you want to kill it quickly, right? I hope you have some wine and at least 3 Machine Guns, because you're going to lose a lot of ammo and health. Okay, there should be a couple picnic benches with a red canopy on them. Jump on top and pull out your Machine Gun. When the Helicopter comes over you, shoot at it. When you know you can't hit it, run around in circles so the guns don't hit you. I have heard you can also try to snipe the rotor blades if you're a good shot, but I suck at sniping so I couldn't hit it.’

Dead Rising Achievement Guide V1.0 by DarkChaos319
This is an achievement guide that will give you tips or guides on how to do achievements. What else would it do?

This guide contains spoilers. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Quite a few times I will be referring to Thy Woodzy's Psychopath Guide.

If you can add on, or correct, anything, you will get credit.

NOTE: There is no list of achievements due to the 20,000 character maximum limit.

---------------------------------------------------------

1, 2, 3. Zombie Hunter, Zombie Killer, Zombie Genocider - Follow this Zombie Genocider Guide and you should get them as you go. While you're at it, take the Horror Novels to get some more PP. One is found in Bachman's Bookporium in Paradise Plaza, while the other in Sinister Read in Entrance Plaza. You will have to do this in 1 playthrough.

4, 5, 6. Self Defense, Peace Keeper, Punisher - Follow Thy Woodzy's Psychopath Guide to help you kill the Psychopaths. Take note that Carlito, Isabela, and the convicts do not count as psychopaths (leaving you 12). Since there are 2 psychos that count in the story, it is not neccessary to complete Case Files. Keep in mind also that you must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obatined in 72 hour mode or Infinite Mode.

7. Legendary Soldier - You're going to have to defeat a total of 10 Special Forces soldiers. You can follow the tips written in the Psychopath Guide or you can go "up and personal" with a bladed weapon. (includes chainsaws). You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained at the end of 72 hour mode or Overtime Mode.

8. Hella Copter - In Overtime Mode, a helicopter replaces the convicts that were found in Leisure Park. You're going to need a few machine guns and some wine. Follow the strategy I wrote in the Psychopath guide. Just look for "Special Forces Helicopter" and you can find the strategy. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in Overtime Mode.

9,10. Tour Guide, Frank the Pimp - Because it is possible to get both achievements at the same time by just going for Frank the Pimp, you can look at Crimzen Dragon's Frank the Pimp guide. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in 72 hour mode.

11. Full Set - To get every picture in your notebook, you're going to have to meet every single survivor and psychopath (cultists and convicts are exceptions). If you want to meet everyone in one playthrough, you must answer all survivor and psychopath calls. You can also get the Transmissionary, Saint, Life Saver, and Humanist, if you're willing to save the survivors. But you can just kill them if you like. You must do Case Files or else you won't get the achievement. The Full Set achievement does not include Brock Mason. You can do this across all your games as long as you save, and can only be obatained in 72 hour mode or Infinite Mode.

12,13,14. Humanist, Life Saver, Saint - You will need to save 10, 20, and 50 survivors, respectively. You can save them in a particular order, which is probably the best way, so try and take a look at this 50 survivors guide of which you can find an order to rescue them in. Obviously, you do NOT have to save the psychopaths. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in 72 hour mode.

15. Strike! - This is a really easy one. All you have to do is knock over 10 zombies with a bowling ball in one throw and you'll get it! The matinence tunnels is a sure-fire way to get 10 zombies in one throw. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

16. Costume Party - All you need to do is place 10 novelty masks, which refers to Lego Masks and bear masks, on a zombies head at the same time. Just make sure you don't have someone who fights with you, like Kent or Burt. They'll attack the zombies and mess you up. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

17. Raining Zombies - Knock 30 zombies away with a parasol, or otherwise known as an umbrella. To get a lot of zombies at once, try going to Al Fresca Plaza and holding X. Make sure you go in a straight line so Frank won't stop. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

18. Gourmet - Eating all the types of food in the mall is easier than you think. Use this easy-to-follow guide and you'll get it in no time. You must do this in one playthrough.

19. Item Smasher - This is one where it seems easy but you can be confused on with. The easiest way to do this is to pick up pots and smash them by throwing them or hittting it over a zombie's head. I have figured that if you lose all the ammo in the gun or your katana loses all it's "health", then it will not count towards the achievement. This, however, is unconfirmed by me. You can do this across all your games as long as you save.

20. Bullet Point - Most likely the easiest one. You can purposely do it, or you might get it across your game on accident. You can grab 9-10 Special Forces Machine guns (if you've gotten to the end of 72 hour mode or you've unlocked Overtime mode) and shoot them all until you get it. While you're at it you can get Perfect Gunner. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

21. Perfect Gunner - Now when the achievement says "with a machine gun", they do NOT mean an Uzi. You must use a Special Forces Machine gun. Now it sounds hard that you have to not miss. The easiest way to do this is to go down to the Meat Proccessing area (which is accessed by either the Matinence Tunnels or Seon's Food 'n' Stuff) and shoot a slab of meat until you run out of bullets. Make sure you're facing the front of the slab of meat or you won't get it. For reference, the slab of meat's front is the side that is more brightish pink, and you can't see the ribs in it. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

22, 23. Photojournalist, The Artiste - You can get this early in the game. When saving Natalie and Jeff Meyer on the rooftop, they will hug. You can take a picture of this to get up to 10,000 PP, which should be more than suffice. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

24. Group Photo - The easiest way to do this is to go to the Matinence Tunnels and go to the outside of the Meat Processing area. There's about 800 zombies there, so you are more than likely to get it. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

25, 26. Portraiture, Census Taker - You can photograph 10 survivors at the beginning of the game (there's a total of eleven). To take pictures of 50, you're going to have to get almost all calls from Otis. You can also follow the 50 survivors guide link shown in the Humanist, Life Saver, and Saint area of this guide. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obatined in 72 hour mode or Infinite Mode.

27, 28. Psycho Photo, Psycho Collector - You have to take photographs of 4 and 10 psychopaths, respectively. You can get this while going for the other Psychopath achievements. The good thing is that you can take photograph dead psychopaths and still get the achievement. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in 72 hour mode or Infinite mode.

29. PP Collector - Best way to do this is to follow the only PP Collector guide and you'll get it. C'mon, it has pictures too! You must do this in 1 playthrough.

30. Snuff Shot B - Oh snap! Brad's been turned into a zombie! You'll need to photograph him. After case 7-2, go back into the matinence tunnels, and go to the area with the matinence key. Get out and walk towards the door. You'll get a cutscene with him, so take a picture and kill him. Move on. Take note that he will disappear after some time if you ignore him. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in 72 hour mode.

31. Snuff Shot J - What? Jessie's been turned into a zombie too? Oh noes! You'll need to photograph her as well. When getting near the end of the story, you'll see a cutscene of Jessie taking off her glasses and the Special Forces coming in the Security Room. She'll turn into a zombie. Go to the Security Room and take a picture of her. Now you can kill her or leave her. Take note she'll disappear after some time if you ignore her. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in 72 hour mode.

32. Transmissionary - Answer all calls from Otis. Oh jeez. Try following this guide and you can get it. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in 72 hour mode.

33, 34. Indoorsman, Outdoorsman - All you need to do is stay inside for a full 24 hours in-game time and 24 hours outdoors. Best place to do these is on the Helipad and Security Room, respectively. It will take a total of 4 real-life hours to get these. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

35. Freefall - So easy. You can jump off the shelves in the warehouse, and boom, you got it. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

36. Marathon Runner - Running 26.2 miles? Should be acquired as you play, no real need for explanation here. You can do this across all your games as long as you save.

37. Carjacker - Follow the guides to beating the convicts in the Psychopath guide. Make sure you get in the jeep when the convicts are dead, because if you leave and come back the jeep will be gone. The convicts respawn as well. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in 72 hour mode.

38. Stunt Driver - You can get this with any car, (yes, even the ice cream truck, of which I got it with) so go to the matinence tunnels and try and jump off shopping carts. If you jump off a shopping cart while going a down ramp, you should get it. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

39. Stunt Rider - Do the cases until you get to 4-1. Now beat 4-1 and get Isabela's motorcycle. Drive off the ramps in North Plaza and you should get it in no time. (for reference, Isabela's motorcycle lies in front of Seon's Food 'n' Stuff). Another way I've heard is by jumping into/off the fountain in Leisure Park. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

40. Zombie Road - 33 feet is about 10-15 zombies, so find a large crowd and use the skill Zombie Ride. Not Zombie Walk. Large crowds can be found in the matinence tunnels. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

41. Karate Champ - Easiest way to defeat 1000 zombies barehanded is to go to the matinence tunnels and use Double Lariat. The skills "Hammer Throw" and "Giant Swing" do NOT count towards your 1000. You must do this in 1 playthrough.

42, 43. Sharp Dresser, Clothes Horse - Follow this guide and you will get it. You can do this across all your games as long as you save.

44. Level Max - Should be obtained as you go, you can also get level up easy by doing Zombie Genocider. You can do this across all your games as long as you save.

45. Unbreakable - Don't get "killed" by Special Forces. Good ways to kill them is to use small chainsaws, katanas, or battle axes. If you wish to avoid them, use Quicksteps. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in Overtime mode.

46. Overtime Mode - Follow 72 hour mode's story. Make sure, after "The Facts", you talk to Isabela at 10AM on the last day, 2 hours before your helicopter comes. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in 72 hour mode.

47. ∞ Mode - Beat Overtime Mode. Simple does it. Make sure you know how to kill Brock, and you can efficiently fetch some stuff. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in 72 hour mode.

48, 49, 50. 3 Day Survivor, 5 Day Survivor, 7 Day Survivor - 3 Day Survivor can be obtained by doing 72 hour mode. 5 and 7 day survivor must be obtained in Infinite Mode. You can do a non-confrontational playthrough (not fighting survivors and psychos), where there is a guide on Dr Newcenstein's site. (newcenstein.com) Make sure you do NOT go in the Food Court on Day 4 of Infinite mode. This will cause your game to glitch and freeze up, making you lose all your progress. 7 days is equal to 14 hours real-life time, and there are no saves. You must do this in 1 playthrough, and can only be obtained in 72 hour mode or Infinite mode.
