Some guy analysed the MW2 trailer, frame by frame, and made a convincing argument that there would still be perks in it. One of the frames showed a row of 5 symbols, one which looked like the symbol for the bullet penetration perk.

Found the link for it. I  was wrong, it was the Stopping Power symbol...look at the frame for 1:12.

Well, damn.  I'm not surprised really.  I won't purchase it or even rent it, then.  The only thing I'd do is play in the beta if they have one just to see how similar it is to the other two garbage games they put out with perks.

I'm going to pre-order it, so that I will get the Beta.  If the Beta plays the same way as COD4 and CODWaW, I'll cancel my pre-order.  That's what I did with CODWaW.

I should play CoD3 again, I just don't think I can bring myself to play ranked matches though, and there's no payoff because there's no clan matches or activity in this game anymore..

Why not just play for fun?

And there's still lots of activity just look at a player match list there's countless games.

True, I hate people who complain about not finding a ranked game, when theres plenty of player matches to play.

I enjoy rank because it does give some sorta purpose to play the game.
But I usually just stay in a lobby and go do something else. That's what I enjoy about COD3. I know it sounds weird but I enjoy waiting in lobby's..... You can talk to people, smoke weed, eat, go do some work, clean up your room, and eventually your game loads up and you can kick some quantum singularity.

To be honest I still play Player matches for practice and with friends. But I'm inclined to play the mappacks mostly.
I haven't played COD3 in a long time.... Once I get a new 360 its back to COD3, funny thing is I'll have Halo3 and the Mythic map packs as well. It'll be interesting to see which one I enjoy more.

I have the whole CoD series and find something different that is good with each one of them. I only need to re buy CoD3. I sold it cause of the half hour connections it took to play a ranked game which is the only way to get the online achievements.

Before i spend money to get CoD3 again, i just needed to know if the ranked connection problems and some of the small issues i had with the game(unbalanced weapons, clamores from your own team blowing up when you run over them, and vehicle gitches) have been fixed since i last played it right before CoD4 came out.

Not dissing the game completely even though Angers, France is the most unbalanced map ever created in and FPS, im just wanting to know what has been fixed to see if i could get ino CoD3 once again.

The only reason is since there are ton of tanks on that map and if the opposing team gets them you are screwed cause they just camp your spawn(the fun old spawn in same area) and just blast away the whole game to where you cant do jake. Even if my team is doing it to the other i stil think its unbalanced cause of way to may vehicles.

Only two maps in the original map pack have tanks.  The other maps are set up for infantry combat.  Just don't play the two maps with tanks.

That is only true if the teams are really unbalanced, which I admit happens quite a bit. However, if people actually try to level out the teams, then breaking out is not a problem.

What frustrates me about getting stuck up there is people not even trying to break out, or even worse, people going medic and reviving people behind the house, thus prolonging the spawn. The lack of communication and team-play today, compared to when the game first came out, is quite depressing. One of the reasons I stopped playing objective based games.

It does happen, but I just pop smoke like crazy, and get my teammates to do the same.  The medics can toss smoke, and if you're leveled up with your rifle class you can pop some also.

The only place that really ticks me off is getting spawn camped on Rouen in CTF if you're on the Axis side in the east building.  You'll have guys on the second story of your base, support gunners and snipers on the west blasting you.  0

But, again, you can smoke it out, jump down the stairs and head east.  Then flank and blast the campers, which is quite fun.

Haha.  Not as fun as breaking out, flanking the spawn campers, and wasting them.  I don't see it happen often, but if you get a good team they can hold that east side pretty good.

And if you have a crappy team that doesn't use smoke well, it can become a pretty bad kill box.

Spawn Camping a problem?  If you get spawn camped more then 2 times in a row, then your problem is YOU.  Any player worth their weight can avoid being spawned camped more than 2 times in a row.  Come on! When you spawn in in COD3 you are invinsible for a couple of seconds - figure it out.
I may just be the last thing you see before you re-spawn!

One of the bad things is, in Poision if your on the axis and the allies push you back into that corner its terrible. You get spawned tanked then everybody gets tired of it and switches teams then it becomes really unbalanced.

This is the longest lasting game in my collection of 360 games, thanks to the MP. I should probably replay the SP.

Now that I've got a great PC, though, Day of Defeat: Source satisfies my WW2 MP shooter urgings, and does it well.

Re: Long Live COD3 - COD4 on-line play Boring
This was my first game for my 360. I always thought it was fun and all my friends were like "Call of Duty 4 is better" or "Treyarch ruined Call of Duty 3. Call of Duty 2 was better." I have made friends on Live that are still on my friends list from a couple of years ago.
