BA2- A sign of desperation.

Honestly, I believe the only reason the sequal features "secret" WWII aircraft is because they are getting desperate for ideas. Honestly, I think this is a disrespect to all the Veterans of WWII. Not only are we re-playing a virtual version of secarios where they lost many of their friends and allies, but now they're trying to make it "cooler:" by adding "secret" WWII aircraft. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy Blazing Angels and Call of Duty games, but trying to make WWII "cooler" and "more improved" is just a big disgrace to all the brave men and women who fought in that war 60 years ago. What I'm really trying to say is that Ubisoft is out of ideas for this game.

Re: BA2- A sign of desperation.
I disagree. As far as WW2 aerial combat on consoles is concerned, it is a niche market, so they're trying to keep it interesting by throwing a little twist into it. I also don't think it disrespects anybody; think of how many men died testing some of these machines, not to mention the fact that these planes have been forgotton by alot of people? If people find these craft interesting enough, they might actually look some of them up, then learn about some of the men behind these machines. I think if you used you logic, ALL war games based on real events are disgraceful(think about how many pilots died during the battle of Britain? Guadalcanal? Sinnking the Japanese at Midway? Did you not play BA or HOTP because of disrespecting those pilots by racking up 30 kills in a mission?); My advice would be to keep it in context: its a game. I hope some of the younger folks do get intrigued and learn about the men who fought in WW2; no matter which country they fought for, they were quite brave to do what they did, and knowing their stories' can only make ones' appreciation for the real thing that much better, imo. See ya in the virtual skies!

Re: BA2- A sign of desperation.

I agree with hand. I am a big history nut and wonder why ppl who use spitfires against my FW190 always try to out turn me vertically. Jus shows how lil our youth knows about the idividual aircraft. See the spitfire had a problem with its fuel pump when climbing or diving therefore it turns better horizontal and the FW is more of a climb dive fighter. BA1 didnt sim this as well but the demo for BA2 does it perfect. Once I get the fight goin vertical it is GAME OVER!

So these games I think not only have some entertainment value but unlike yer halos, and smears of war games...it can make you a lil smarter instead of dumber! Pretty kool huh.....

Oh brother.... I don't know why they based in on WWII at all, honestly.  They should have just called in Crimson Skies 2, I'd be happier.

One thing you really need to look at is: How do you think we have real modern-day planes came about - though the secrecy comes advancement.  Such planes at one time where considered "secret" until the technology was released to the general public and other branches of the military.

How does knowing weather a plane turns better vertically or horizontally make gamers smarter? Are you going to be flying any of those planes in the near future? Dude seriously get over yourself. You might think knowing what the fuel pump of a WW2 plane did cool but most don't and it doesn't make anyone smarter.

..ok, I don't play gears and especially never played with you. As far as Halo goes I know I never played with you there either..and from what I can see, you still haven't done anything there worth bragging about yourself. And if you wanna talk Crimson, I don't remember playing with you cause you weren't even playing it until after most of the respectable players had moved on...what?..2-3yrs after the game hit the shelf. And if my wife kicked the shyt out of you more that I did in a dogfight, It's cause she's a he*l of a shot in a Doppel. Nothing for me to be embarassed about there..I'm sure she can kick your a$$ at Halo too..most guys would probably kill for a gamer-girlfriend...by the way, does your wife like to game?

..And social, lol..you remind me of the little scrawny dog that followed Spike around in the ol' looney toons back in the day kissin Spike's a$$ and jumpin around like a little punk. You I have played and I know she's kicked your a$$ too..

You both always say If you don't play the game, then you have no business here in our forum..I think you should take your own advice. Unless of course you'd like to come play something a bit up to date.

Re: BA2- A sign of desperation.

Kral I tend to agree with you.  Crimson is an old, almost dead game and we've pretty much played it to death and explored every aspect of what it has to offer therefore we should probably move on to something else.  I recently bought Sega Rally and I play it quite a bit.  I'm half way through and it's one of the toughest games around.  I've finished Gears too but admittedly I'm not gonna do anything special online so I'll have to accept my place as a very average Gears player.  Hopefully not on Sega Rally though.  I'l play that until I get really good or accept my place as an also ran.  Is this the same way you feel about Crimson?  I mean you played it for years but remained a very average player so did you move on to BA2 after saying to yourself...."it's pointless me playing Crimson.  I just don't get the game.  I just can't seem to be able to pick myself up from the gutter and compete so I think it's time I moved on"?

I'm not having a go at you so please don't get upset.  I'm just asking if that's what happened.  The same as with me and Gears.  I really ike the game but I'm just an average player at it so I accept that and move on.  Did you have the same revelation regarding your Crimson playing?  Maybe Ms Debbie took you aside and told you herself and then it hit you.  Were you in denial up to then?  Did it hurt when you realsied that all that time and effort amounted to nothing more than an everyday, run of the mill player getting battered anythime you entered a decent room?  I gotta admit you're on your own if that's so cos with Gears I didn't really but any real time into it.  Maybe you shouldn't listen to Ms Debbie.  I think you could prove yourself to be a good Crimson player yet.  Ignore her bad vibes and come back.  It would be good to see you playing, trying to get good.  If you put in the effort you never know, you might finally be able to justify your original purchase of Crimson.  If not, no big deal, you continue to "own"or "pawn" or whatever it is you do over here or BA2.

First idiot I played Crimson before you. I started in June of 04.There's a list of a thousand players I can get on here to verify that. Including guys like OL Duey.Jungle,Arch,Grouchy,Miami Dave, Todd Dog etc etc.
Second all I have to do is look at your service record on Halo to see that your garbage. I know you were garbage at Crimson because the only one that said you and your  wife were any good was Deja.Dude I would play you at any game that we both play anytime and smash on your garbage ***. Just like if I picked up this garbage game I would smash on you in it to. Then what?

You and your loser friends would close your rooms down not let anyone play with you or move to another game.Your an idiot. No one remembers you, and those that do remember how horrible you were and how you wife was average at best.

Oh yeah and looking at your wife's halo service record I'll play you both 1 on 2 and you would be lucky to get 2 kills. Unlike you I have a positive kill to death ratio.I get my Major rank today which you will never get playing that bad. Once again you have and always will suck at gaming. Don't get mad and attack players because they are better then you. Just play for fun or try and get better so maybe you can one day be above the worst players and you can rise up to below average.

Re: BA2- A sign of desperation.

...have I ever made any claim at being the bestest Halo player in the world?..I bought it to play with my friends and finish the trilogy..not to climb stats or gain rank..this is supposed to be fun, right? Any assumptions you may have as far as my Crimson days are exactly that, assumptions...I never flew with or against you. That's why I've never said anything about your flying. None of you were unwelcome in any of our rooms...if you got booted out of my room it was either for glitching gyros or host glitch...or if you came in acting like an a**hole, which was probably why you got booted alot. But if we came into your rooms and one of us got too close to winning or maybe ruined that 25-0 run you had planned with a couple of smacks from our Doppels...boot. After we started winning more we never got to start the game cuz we'd get booted before the game starts. So you tell me, who's the bad sport there, huh? Regardless of where any of you sit on the stats then or now..the people we played with most were the better than you could ever be, cuz' they could take a loss without crying cheat or leaving the game before the last shot gets you....now go take UK's advice and have a bannana, I'm done with you here.Wink [;)]

You make assumptions to. Lets see. First never played dog fight only flag, gun heist and chicken. Second always have and will accept any challenge that is given to me especially in a video game.  Also never hosted Grouchy did.So never booted you or your friends. You talk like you guys were good but to everyone else you were garbage. Maybe a case of over rating yourself going on.

As for stats lets look at mine. Top 20 flag, top 15 chicken and top 5 gun heist all in  June of 04. That's before your time

Now as for making comments about people I said nothing to you yet you decide to come in make comments towards me because of some little grudge you hold. Get over it. You sucked and people told you so. It happens. People better then me have told me I sucked and I didn't run and tell my friends and cry to my wife about it. I just got better and beat them or admitted they were just better.

Why are you getting so defensive and abusive to me Kral?  I was trying to be nice.  I never use my 360 but if stats are what you're about go check my Crimson ones to yours.  If you have half a brain and pay no attention to stats then take the big steps to come and play a game with me.  See how much damage you'll do in your Dopple.  I was offering to help you out, you know....give you a few pointers as to why you were so bad.  If anyone decides to offer me any Gears help, I'd listen and try to take it on board to see if I can improve.  Why are you so bitter?  My offer still stands.....if you want some help to try and get as good as your wife, for example, then pm me.  I'm here for you.

Re: BA2- A sign of desperation.

First Kral name a game or gametype that you or Ms Debbie ever beat me in, I don't recall ever losing to you in anything CS related.  I do recall you talking alot garbage in the forums and never ever being able to back up your posts.

Everything aside, though I just thought what Delta wrote was extremely funny.  Sorry Im not an as s kisser, you got me confused with yourself.  Dont you remember all those posts you made in CS defending Toad or your other misc. friends and how good you guys were at flying and at playing Team Dogfight and etc.

Only to find out you and your friends were garbage, and pretty soon you guys stopped playing with us because you couldn't take the fact that we were and are better than you.  How many Team DFs did you lose to me and lifer and countless others.  In DF you were no where on the map as far as solo skills, always relying on a team to cover your flying.

Then you got smart and switched your posting from your CS skills to its all about fun and having a good time to eventually not posting in the CS forums at all.  Years later you pop up on a BA forum uttering the same ol garbage that got you run out of CS, lol.  Do you really want us to play BA2, then where will you hide to thump your chest.

What I don't like is the fact that there are groups of fighters, and some aren't even right (BF-109K should be in the late group) And so should the Fw-190D-9.

I was hoping that the LA-7 was more agile that the game gave it! It's not too much less maneuverable than the LA-5 or Yak3. It would've been my FW-190 killer, it could out turn it and out climb it and when the Dora wasn't using boost the LA-7 wasn't much slower than it. Plus it was the only russian aircraft to shoot down an ME-262

I use a controller to fly, and I'm damn good at it.

...now that you have IL-2, you'll be happy to know that the venerable LA-7 can whoop the 109 down on the deck in a turn fight. Ive learned to not go head to head with one though, 109s are heavily armored and have way more firepower. But get them in a turning fight and you'll come out on top.
