These two achievements are really easy. A “Back Attack” is simply where you start a fight with a monster, except you hit it from the back first. You can simply just keep walking around behind the monster in a circle over and over if you want, and just walk into it’s back and you will start a “Back Attack”.
Will become easy later on, if you have an Assassin or two, with the “Stealth Skill”.
You can also do this easily in the “Mecha Base” or another area that has the lasers, which when you walk through the alarm sounds and an enemy will drop. Just sound the alarm, and while the enemy is getting up, walk into his back.
Multi-Monster Encounter 5 Complete a Multi-Monster Encounter.
A “Multi-Monster” Encounter is simply when you fight more than one group of enemies at once. Just get close to two monsters on the field (can’t be the same monster), pull RT and fight them. Doesn’t have to be a “Monster Fight” either.
For this one, you need to have 10 monster parties in your circle. This does not mean you have to fight ten monsters in a single fight – ten in the ring!
The easiest place to do this is in the Snow Fields in Disc 2. You will see a machine go around in a big circle and it will drop a lot of Mecha. Make one of your party members Stink (use Garlic) and start luring them all together. Shouldn’t be too tough, just keep waiting for the machine to come around and drop more and more Mecha.
You could also attempt this when you get to the Underground River under Baroy Town. I think it’s just after you meet Toripo that there is a barrier to the right. Deactivate this barrier then you will see lots of Kelolon. Just make sure you Stink or they will Flee from you.
100 Monster Fights 30 Make Monster Fights happen 100 times
“Monster Fights” are when two monster parties decide to fight each other. When you see two monster parties close to each other, lure them together and pull the RT when they are close enough. If their names appear in yellow, then you will have a “Monster Fight”. This one just takes time but there are Monster Fights to be had everywhere in the game almost!
Killer Bat: Max One Class
For this, you simply need to get one Shadow Class (e.g. Sword Master, White Magic) to Rank 99. To gain Rank you must get SP from fighting in battles.
Dragon: Max All Class Ranks 50 Max out the rank for all Dragon classes. Must go from 98 to 99 without using a Heart enhancement. Minotaur: Max All Classes 50 Max out the rank for all Minotaur classes. Must go from 98 to 99 without using a Heart enhancement. Phoenix: Max All Classes 50 Max out the rank for all Phoenix classes. Must go from 98 to 99 without using a Heart enhancement. Killer Bat: Max All Classes 50 You achieved the highest rank for all classes of the Killer Bat Shadow. Saber-Tooth: Max All Classes 50 You achieved the highest rank for all classes of the Saber-Tooth Shadow.
For this you need to get all your Shadow Classes to Rank 99. May sound a bit daunting, but it’s not so bad. There are 9 Shadow Classes to max out:
· Sword Master
· Guardian
· Monk
· Assassin
· Black Magic
· White Magic
· Barrier Magic
· Support Magic
· Generalist
See “Maxed Out All Character Levels”
Got 1,000,000 Gold 25 Save your Gold: You need 1,000,000!
1,000,000 gold may seem like a lot of gold, but it’s not that bad! Have an Assassin learn the “Negotiate” skill to bring down the cost of items, accessories and staying at Inn’s etc.
Maxed Out All Character Levels 50 Make all your characters level 99.
This Achievement, along with the Gold and MAX Rank ones, can be really easy, if you make them.
On Disc 3, you get access to the Mechat which allows you to travel anywhere on the world map. If you head to the “Southern Deserted Island”, the one where you find the Golden Poo Snake, you will notice that there is only that one enemy there. So all you really have to do, is leave your controller and let it beat the Poo Snake over and over (assuming you have a Turbo Controller, that is). I had Shu equipped with the “Poo Bangle” and “Hermes Shoes” so that he killed the snake instantly, and always got the first attack. Then you can just leave it. You get 1010 exp, 10 SP and a random amount of gold.
Alternatively, you could just play normally, and make sure to participate in a lot of fights.
Maybe one of the more difficult achievements. King Poo can be found in the Ancient Ruins (go to Talta Village then into the nearby cave, it’s really close to the village).
When you are down in the Ruins, you will notice a large Poo. Defeat this one, it should be really easy. Then another Poo will drop down. Same again, kill it and it should give you no trouble. Now save the game at the nearby cube. Attempt to leave the Ancient Ruins and you will see a big, gold Poo drop down. This is the final “King Poo”.
It has been said that you need to have a certain amount of Gold before King Poo appears, so if he doesn’t show up, that might be the reason.
You need to be really prepared for this fight, he is really hard! I was at level 99 for all characters before attempting this one.
My setup was to have everyone as a Guardian (for the highest defense). But you need to have the following skills
Resurrection; White Magic (at least 3 characters, all if you have it available)
Double Cast; Support Magic (again, try and have this for everyone)
White Magic Lvl 6 (important for Zephyrus and Pre-revive)
Black Magic Lvl 5 (Waterus really hurts him)
Support Magic Lvl 6 (Quickus is needed to get more attacks in before he hurts you bad)
So you need to try and give everyone all of the above. When anyone gets killed, use Pre-Revive on them. Physical attacks are useless, so use Waterus as much as you can. “Double Cast” will help when attacking him as you can then get 2x the amount of damage in one go.
Hopefully you can damage him enough, then get in some Corporeals before he wipes you out. Keep trying and develop a strategy.
King Poo has around 13,000 HP, so use that to work out if it’s worth using a Corporeal or reviving/healing. Corporeals do around 4000-5000 damage each.
Beat Golden Poo Snake 30 Find and defeat the rare monster Golden Poo Snake.
This ones really easy. I managed it without a sweat at Level 40. You can access the “Golden Poo Snake” on Disc 3, when you get the Mechat. Fly to the “Southern Deserted Island” – the southern most island on the map, on the chain of islands near the Undersea Caverns.
Golden Poo Snake will run from you when the fight starts, so you should equip Hermes Shoes and the Poo Bangle.
You can find the Hermes shoes from the “Nothing Man” in Jibral (he is under the bridge where the save point is) when you have 1000 Nothings.
The Poo Bangle is found also in Jibral, in the Blue chest to the right in the very first area of Jibral.
Just equip both those items to the same person and you have yourself the achievement.
Beat Gold Mecha Robo 30 Find and defeat the rare monster Gold Mecha Robo.
The “Gold Mecha Robo” can be found in the Ancient Factory after you aquire the “Final War Necklace” and “Ultimate Weapon Bracelet”.
Warp to the Factory, then run straight ahead, across the conveyor belt and you will see him there.
I used the exact same setup as for King Poo, and found this fight much, much easier. The “Gold Mecha Robo” will do an attack which causes around 600-700 damage to everyone in the party, but if you have a white magic user use Double Cast and Zephyrus then it’s no problem. Just keep healing and attacking.
I’m not sure what level to recommend, but if you are too weak a level, you will probably find this extremely tough. Leave it till later on with King Poo.
Mechat Shooting Stage 1: Perfect 30 Clear Mechat Shooting with no damage.
All three of these Achievements are earned through the Mechat mini-game that appears at different stages.
Stage 1 happens when you are finished in the Giant Mechat. You have to clear this one by taking no damage at all, and shooting down the other ship.
Stage 2 happens when you attempt to land in the “Upper Mecha Base” in Disc 3 (this is an optional side quest, but it is the floating ship at the very south of the map, indicated by the star). For this one, you have to destroy all the cannons on the Base, but you can take damage.
Stage 3 happens as part of the story in Disc 3, towards the end. You have to defeat the other ship without taking damage.
These ones just require patience. Keep going over them, learning the patterns. Use missiles as often as you can and use the machine gun to shoot incoming rockets out of the air. You can also use LB and RB to rotate 90 degrees, this is really handy.
There is always a save point before, so keep multiple saves and go back if you are getting frustrated. Most aren’t that bad if you just remember where the rockets are coming from.
***NOTE***
It will sometimes ask you if you would like to play on “Easy mode”. If you choose to do this, you will not unlock the achievement.
I have already written a guide for this, which can be found here:
http://forums.xbox.com/15134975/ShowPost.aspx
Moon Laser: Perfect 30 You got a bonus for completing the Moon Laser perfectly.
This one is earned from the Moon Laser mini-game in Nene’s airship. The idea is that there are Moons shooting at you and you have to get them before they get you.
In order to get this Achievement though, you need to do two things:
Not take any damage
Not hit the back of the moons
I did not know you couldn’t hit the back of the Moons and that got me! But just keep cool and think before you shoot. The Moons will try and trick you by turning then turning away quickly. You can only do damage to them when they are charging and are a yellow/orange colour. Just take your time and hit them quickly. When you learn the mini-game it is really easy.
Got Ultimate Weapon Bracelet 10 Find and obtain the rare Ultimate Weapon Bracelet.
The “Ultimate Weapon Bracelet” requires three parts to make:
Mysterious Parts Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.
Alpha is found as part of a cutscene in Mural Village. If you walk past this one, you deserve a slap! It’s the sparkling item on the ground.
Beta is found in the Ancient Factory. Keep progressing through the Factory until you are going up in a huge circle, fighting Pyro Rats and the like. When you get to a circle at the top, you will see a Rat and five or 6 “Double Lances” that aren’t moving. Kill the Rat, then the Double Lance next to it will move. Keep walking up to the Lances until they all move and all are dead and the Beta piece will appear in a chest.
Gamma is found in the Upper Mecha Base, on 1F. It’s in a chest in the room with the lift.
When you have all three parts, go and speak to the Chief Scientist under Jibral Castle (take the left door in the Great Hall) and he will give you the Bracelet.
Got Dragon Bracelet 10 Find and obtain the rare Dragon Bracelet.
These Achievements both go together. On Disc 3, when you get access to the Mechat, you can fight some optional bosses – some Dragons. But first you must speak to Elder Baum in Kelaso Village (near the Warp Clip), who will tell you a bit of background behind the Dragons.
Now you can go out and kill them!
Moody Dragon : Underground River, the room with all the Kelolon. I think you have to kill them all first, then attempt to leave.
Blizzard Dragon : West of Kelaso Village
Spark Dragon : Gul Mountains, in the area where the Red Field Barrier was.Phantom Dragon : Great Desert
Amethyst Dragon : Coastal Road
That is also the order I recommend you tackle them. Some can be quite tricky, so try them at a high level, and treat them like they should be treated – like bosses!!
After defeating them, a chest will appear. Search the chest for their “Fang”. Collect all five “Fangs” to get the “All Dragon Items” Achievement. Then when you have all five, take them back to Elder Baum in Kelaso Village for the Bracelet.
Got Final War Necklace 10 Find and obtain the rare Final War Necklace.
This is similar to the “Ultimate Weapon Bracelet” Achievement, except you need three different items. Mysterious Part Un, Deux, Trois.
Myserious Part Un
Can be found in Alumaru Village. Go into Jeelala’s house, then take the first left and go through the door on the right. Exit this room through the other end and fight the “Gold Giant”. Take a right and keep going until you fall through the floor. A chest in here will have the part.
Mysterious Part Deux
Found in the Sea Cube, Deepest Layer. Keep going through here until you beat the boss. Proceed through here and it will be in a chest. (The Sea Cube is the large sea-square thing next to Jibral Castle_
Mysterious Part Trois
In a chest on the Western Deserted Island, one of the islands that is part of a chain at the very south of the map.
When you have these three parts, take them to the Chief Scientist in Jibral Castle.
Warp Devices are the blocks that are usually found next to save points. Here is a list, in the order I found them:1. In the Drilling Machine
2. Towards the end of the Ancient Hopsital
3. Lago Village
4. Sheep Tribe Camp – Forest
5. Forest of the Dead
6. Gul Mountains
7. Talta Village
8. Mural Village
9. Jibral Castle
10. Alumaru Village
11. Laser Field
12. Baroy Town
13. Ancient Factory
14. Ancient’s Prison
15. Pachess Town
16. Devour Village
17. Noluta Village
18. Sheep Tribe Camp – Lal Mountains Camp
19. Kelaso Village
20. Sea Cube
21. Mecha-Robo Cube
22. Primitive Cube (quite deep in)
23. After you beat a certain boss, won’t spoil it, it’s rather obvious.
Removed All Barriers 25 Remove all barriers in the game.
Barriers are the coloured “walls” around chests and that block of certain areas of the game. You will seem them really early in the game, but won’t be able to disable them until further in.
I think there are 41 Treasure Chest Barriers and 21 Wall Barriers.. I haven’t got a guide, and I don’t want to steal anyone else’s so just Google one or search around, there are a few. Just make sure to write down which ones you do and you shouldn’t have much trouble.
Completed Monster Record 25 Fill up the Monster Record by defeating every monster. Completed Item Record 25 Fill up the Item Record.
Again, this is just a cheapass Xbox.com achievement guide, so I’m not going to list every single monster and item and their location. Just Google them, because such guides to exist.
I did not list the Mechat Parts as I got them, and don't want to steal someone else's hard work, so please use their guide. Better to be useless than a plagrisiat
THE FOLLOWING CONTAIN SPOILERS AND ARE PLOT-RELATED
(They also come in the order which you will unlock them)
Closed Flying Fortress Door 5 You closed the Flying Fortress door without fighting the mecha robos.
This one is unlocked early in the game. When you first get your Light Spheres in Nene’s Fortress, a whole load of Mecha Robos will drop down. Turn around, come off the pedestal and run through the only open door. Now a cutscene will appear where Shu will have to spin a handle to close the door.
You must rapidly press A three times in succession and not get hit by a Mecha Robo as it comes through the door.
Pulled in the Flying Fortress 5 You helped pull in the Flying Fortress without angering the Gorgo giants.
In Jibral, when everyone is on the roof and sticks harpoon’s on Nene’s ship, you latch onto a chain and must rapidly press A to help pull in the ship.
Rescued Kluke 5 You rescued Kluke without falling.
This is when Nene throws Kluke off of the huge Mecha Robo and Shu does all this Spider-man aerobatics to save her. Just press A twice when instructed.
This is the location that is in the demo. You have 60 minutes to get to the end of the dungeon. There will be a timer to let you know. This one is easy, don’t worry about it.
Saved Kluke from Choking 5 You saved Kluke from being choked by Nene's collar.
This is where you hold down the left analogue stick in a certain direction and mash the button it tells you. No tips really, just hit the button as quick as you can.
Escaped from Squashtrich 5 You escaped without being stomped by the Squashtrich.
The “Squashtrich” is a really cheesy name for the bird-Mecha that Nene tries to escape in. When Shu tries to stop Nene stomping on his friends, you have to press whatever button it tells you quickly. You will then be in a fight with the Mecha. Just select Flee and you unlock this achievement.
Summoned Shu's Shadow 5 You summoned Shu's Shadow.
Unlocked after you stop the girl killing herself in Devour Village. Just keep hitting the buttons till you get your shadow back. Easy!
Phew, there we go. Hopefully that will stop stupid posts on achievements now. I also plan to do a FAQ on questions that keep getting asked like "What are medals" and "Why can't I open this chest".
Sorry it's so long.
Well done

The achievements I don't have I already know how to get, just a case of playing back again. And if you check some I say that I don't have the achievement, and won't copy someone elses work
Raining Light wrote:I'm not one to complain but unless I am blind you forgot, Flee 50 Times, and the Suprise attacks on you. I know they aren't worth anything but they are achievments non the less.
Haha, I was thinking weather to put these in or not.. but if you can't (or even want to) get these, you need a slap!!

I hope u mean the achievements aren't great, and not my guide! haha.
Don't worry Nooblike, I'd be the same You are my idol btw, with your 1000.. !
I'm having a problem unlocking this achievement:
I do this without taking any damage and it won't unlock. I'm pressing the "X" button to fill the meter then it goes into the battle menu, I select "Flee", and I get away without taking damage. What else am I missing?
Those achievements are worth 0 Gamerscore. They're pretty much 'shame' achievements that you don't want to get.

I know that. But you wouldn't technically have all the achievments. Things like that count to me, maybe not to everyone but to me.
Sir Lumbo, nice thread but a question:
When it came to this i failed first time so i let shu die, tried a few more time and kept failing, then on my try just then i did it without getting stomped, but the game gave me no achievement, is it because i didn't do it first time ?

you are probably one of the few, but i'm sure you can work out how to do both
Raining Light wrote:It was not a matter of how to do them, I have 1 already, it was just that he left them out, that's it. Don't read more into it then there is.
Kk but he probably wont add.
Raining Light wrote:I don't care if he adds it or not. I pointed it out in case he forgot, he didnt, he left them out on purpose, he said so, I said ok. End of story, again stretching out more than needed.
lol you're the one stretching it out, was there any need for a reply to 'he probably wont add' you seem to just always want to have the last word. Anyway.... Sir lumbo do you have to do the stomp achievement first time ?
