Which would you prefer, and WHY?

 Personally I never played PGR4, i love the weather effects,and bikes.  BUT it does not have all those tiny details in FORZA2 whether its Upgrading your car.

 In PGR4 you can make custom paints and stuff, BUT is nowhere near what FORZA 2has.

I say FORZA 2

personally forza 2 because it is much more realistic on PGR's you could skid round a corner at 100-200 mph but on forza u gotta go round at proper speeds. if u want realism forza or colin macry dirt

I think for the true racer, Forza has that little bit more to offer like the Car upgrades, Paint, Engine Mods etc.  However, PGR4 does it for me.  Its more of a free flowing Arcade style Racer that just has me hooked, Forza is just gathering dust now.  Some of the senarios on PGR are just great, like the Invite race where you race a 1950's F1 car accross Ice and snow! fanstatic! with Forza after reaching level 25 i got bored and could not face the endurance races, Yawn!!!. 

Forza for the Car mechanic.

PGR4 for the Driver.

a week ago i wouldve said forza but after playin pgr4 non stop i have to say that. maybe its the lack of tune ups, maybe its the lack of setting the cars up. i dont really understand all that.  pgr took a couple of days to get into but now im lovin the arcade feel and pick up ability. i do really like forza tho. so yeah pgr gets my vote but when gran turismo 5 comes out its gonna kick both there arses. im a huge 360 fan but that game looks amazing and when it comes out im gonna have to give it some searious thought about getting a ps3. until then 360 rules.

I perfer PGR4 because it much funner than the long boring races in Forza. PGR4 had really good graphics especially the snow is fun to race in. Also pgr4 allows you to race in about 120 cars with inside, 1st person view.

How is the feel of the drift in both of these games? I saw a commercial for a 360 game where it's "all about the drift" but I can't find it. I'm thinking about getting a 360 w/ a couple games including PGR4, but it comes with Forza 2. I don't think I need both.

PGR4 if you like Arcade style Racers.

Forza 2 if you prefer Simulations of realistic driving conditions.

Simple as that.

Or in other words if you preferred gran turismo 4 drive style over ridge racer get Forza!!

Forza2 is the alltime best racing game!!! i am very disapointed with PGR4.....it has crap graphics crap gameplay and its just not realistic at all....

For a long time I was sold on PGR2, when I finally got a 360 I thought I would try PGR3, that lasted one night. Then I downloaded the the demo for PGR4 and ya maybe its a good game, however Forza 2 has to be the one that gets my vote. Forza 2 is the "everything in one game". whether your a serious racer or if you like "Last Man Standing, or Cat and Mouse", Full simulation, or limited. Forza 2 is now my fav racing game.

i Did not read any of this forums but Forza 2 is way better then PGR4 i mean look pgr4 maxes kudos every one has the same score, ranked matches should have collisions off people dirty race, no overall kudos scoreboard. On the other hand Forza 2 has so much more to it whats sad is forza 2 is older.

Yea Forza is more realistic for sure, you'd never be able to pull the stuff off in PGR 1-4 in real life. The only problem is with Forza is no car interiors, so basically a graphics thing. But if you really want to feel what its like to drive a euro/japan car, i do find american cars are without parts that make them handle much better. Again Forza is pretty sim, so your fun factor is pretty low, its more in tune with doing model cars, except now you can drive them and they're like their real life counterparts to the best of todays technology.

But again Forza 2 gathers dust, while i'm trying to play through PGR 3 which i've been avoiding since i got my system and that game with it. And its just mind blowing arcade fun, after awhile it gets old, and sometimes its nice to switch over. I'm still waiting for my replacement xbox to get its licenses updated before I can get some of my Forza 2 stuff i bought back in the game. So thats another reason i'm not playing Forza 2 over PGR right now.

i prefer forza because its more realistic and PGR is more like easier. forza is based on real driving although i havent experienced it wit a 360 wheel. but its more of a difficult game and is need more patience play. although PGR is more fun and its has cool things to do in it like look in inside the drivers seat and the inside of the car.

the best game is forza 2 and later it will be forza 3! because its the best simulation of  real driving!

My money is on Forza 2. Literally. I bought Forza 2 the day that I bought my 360 and I haven't even considered buying PGR4. I'll probably wait and try it at a friends to see if I like it... but I know Forza 2 is fun.. fo sho.

Both are the games are very good, i have PGR4 myself and it is very easy 2 complete. cars and bikes are very realistic on PGR4. but forza 2 beats it, because its more realistic and you can tune your car. i havnt got forza 2 but seen vids on utube

Absolutely love em both.  I do wish Forza had the in-car view... glad 3 does.  I'm glad the two games are as different as they are though... I hope they stay that way and don't start messing around too much and getting away from what makes each one great.

I doubt PGR 5 will come to fruition.  PGR 4 had abysmal sales and currently no developer.  MS has not mentioned anything about PGR 5.  There were rumors two years ago about Turn 10 taking PGR 5 but that's where it ended.

I seriously doubt a series like PGR dies on the vine... another PGR will DEFINITELY be made.  'When' may be  in question... but 'if' is not.  And I don't know that PGR4 had bad sales... forgive me for not taking your word for it but there are more people full of it on the internet than not.

Abysmal may have been a strong word, but it didn't fare as well as PGR 2 or 3.  The game lost popularity fairly quickly.  They alienated a lot of fans with the restructuring of the game, between the Kudos along with Cat & Mouse.  I would like to see a PGR 5 as well and with Bizarre Creations out of the way some new blood is very welcome, I just don't see it happening.

I have all 4 of them (bought 1 and 2 last week, just to have em) and I'm tied for 3 and 4 as my favorite.  I love the PGR series, but personally I would like it a lot better if it moved away from the kudos system all together... or at least offered two career modes, one kudos-based like it has been, and another that's just strictly racing.  I don't see why not liking 4 has jack to do with people wanting or not wanting to play a 5th one... I would like to believe that most people are smart enough to know that just cause they didnt care for one of them doesn't mean they're not gonna like the others.  But there's always those people that would not buy a house because the living room isn't the right color or they don't like the furniture in it... when a smart person would know they could paint and that they have to picture the place with their own furniture in it... but the public at large is just not that smart.

I like them both for different reasons, and I play one or the other based on my mood. The one thing i dislike about Forza is the serious lack of feeling like you are moving fast. 120 in forza feels like 20 in PGR4. Both are quality titles tho.
