Well I finally sent an email to the Xbox support site as well as called the Xbox support site. I spoke to a very nice representative how basically had there hands tied on the issue. but I did send an email and they acknowledged an email with the this and other official forum postings links on the issue. I requested that if they no not have an immediate answer to at least respond to the postings in their official forums. so they know about the problem, they know about this and other postings on the Xbox and the official Microsoft forum. I requested that someone from Microsoft at least acknowledge the postings and issues by responding on the forums.
the links that I gave are:

I hope there is some response to the inquiries on at least one of there forums, that would at least indicate some concern and respect for the people who have taken the time to bring this problem to them.
"Thank you for writing Xbox Customer Support.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and as I understand you want to know if chatpad can be used in your PC.
The Xbox 360 Messenger Kit is for use exclusively with Xbox 360 wired or wireless controllers and with the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system.
Chatting with your friends and family on Xbox LIVE is easy when you use the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit. This device easily connects to the Microsoft Xbox 360 controller. The Xbox 360 Messenger Kit provides easy-to-use chat capabilities while maintaining gameplay functionality in one easy-to-hold device."
That is crap!

What the *** is microsoft thinking or waiting for? They are holding up a big advancement for pc users. A controlller functioning as a keyboard and mouse would be next to heaven. Not to mention wireless capabilities aswell. Save me all the pain of holding my back up while leaning forward to type and use a mouse. Thats an invention thats long overdue and I've beenw waiting for it since windows 3.1. I even have a blueprint for a keyboard mouse controller that would give x-box 360 players the ability to compete with veteran pc games( u know the type that play counter strike and unrealtournament). The mouse is superior to a joystick when it comes to shooters and many other game and program types! But microsoft has a device in existence thats close enuff to my design and the only thing holding all of us pc gamers and users is a GOT-DAMN DRIVER. That's F@##$% rediculous! How could such a billion dollar company could not have predicted this? I mean even the playstation 3 controller has a mini keyboard that works on window compatible PC's. How F@#%@#^@^# bad does that look? Well heres a mouse/ keyboard emulator that will let u program only the 360 controller to function as a mouse and keyboard. Download JoyToKey (v 3.79) from here. Do your research on it its pretty good. They should implement it with the controller.

This would make an amazing controler attachment for a multimedia pc, if you had drivers that would recognize the device.
On the version I bought it was prety clear that it only worked with the 360. Granted, it didn't have a list of systems it doesn't work with, but that would be a long list.
Warning: can't be used on PC, Wii, PS3, Atari 2600, ZX81.
If you folks have any coding background, the ChatPad is supported in XNA 2.0.

Unfortunately, there's still no driver support for Windows.
